    • @StratospheralNurse
      @StratospheralNurse ปีที่แล้ว +7

      That’s different because the antibiotic kills off large numbers of your gut micro biome, so the probiotic is helping restore what was removed. Whereas, if you are taking them without need, you can disrupt what was already working. Kinda like taking too many vitamins when your vitamin counts aren’t low.

    So, let's see the peer reviewed studies. What do you mean by "research??" Talk to your doctor about the brand of probiotics? Talk to your doctor about your diet? Most doctors have little to no training in this first of all, and secondly, they have maybe 15 minutes every six months for you...

    This way too vague. There are different probiotics, and pre-biotics and some are much higher quality than others. So just come out and say that probiotics now are shown in Studies to be harmful, is not enough detail to prove the fact. Exactly which probiotics were used in these studies? Were there pre-biotics involved? So many questions.

    Also, studies have shown that The food we eat today is not at all the same quality of nutrients, because back in the day of growing it in your own garden. Most of the produce and meat we buy in the grocery stores, do not give us the sufficient amount of nutrients we need, and supplements are absolutely needed to offset that lack of it being in the food we eat. If you do take a good probiotic you will need to eat so many containers of yogurt to even measure up to what a good probiotic can do. I know that sounds like my opinion but I’ve seen studies showing this and as far as I see it’s a scientific fact.

    If we go by what you just said, at trials test subjects given antibiotics AND THEN given probiotics.... you're supposed to have them at least two weeks prior, not after...🤦🏽‍♀️ Honestly, do not believe this crap they are telling you. Take a good branded supplement and pay attention to the fillers and ingredients. If you have gastritis or pancreatitis, problems with bloating, they will help you if you can tolerate them. Supplement this with healthy gut biome foods like sauerkraut, kimchi, yogurts containing good bacteria 🦠...it all helps. I'll tell you something about the medical industry, you won't find many Drs out there helping you with choosing a pre or probiotic, that's because it doesn't help them and they don't know enough about it. If this study they mention here is how they describe it, then instantly this is flawed, would love to Review the study myself.

    Probiotics and vitamins are popular dietary supplements that many people take to improve their health and well-being. These supplements may be detrimental to your health. In this argument, we will explore the reasons why unregulated probiotics and vitamins may be harmful and the potential risks associated with their use. One of the primary concerns with unregulated probiotics is that they may contain harmful substances or contaminants. Unlike prescription drugs, dietary supplements are not subject to the same rigorous standards and regulations. Therefore, it is possible that unregulated supplements may contain undeclared or harmful ingredients, such as heavy metals, pesticides, or prescription drugs. These drugs may not contain the amount or type of active ingredient advertised on the label. This lack of regulation can lead to inconsistencies in the potency and effectiveness of the supplement, which can impact health outcomes. For instance, taking too much of a vitamin or mineral supplement can lead to toxic effects, while taking too little may not provide any benefit. Ingesting these meds can interact with other medications or supplements, potentially leading to harmful side effects. For instance, taking too much vitamin K can interfere with blood-thinning medications, while taking probiotics with antibiotics can reduce the effectiveness of the antibiotic. Probiotics and vitamins may not have undergone adequate testing for safety and efficacy. Unlike prescription drugs, dietary supplements do not need to undergo the same rigorous testing process before they are marketed to consumers. This lack of testing can lead to potential health risks and unknown interactions with other medications or supplements. The lack of regulation and oversight can lead to harmful substances, inconsistencies in potency, harmful interactions with other medications or supplements, and unknown risks. Therefore, it is essential to be cautious when taking supplements and to consult with a healthcare professional before starting any new supplement regimen. Additionally, purchasing supplements from reputable sources and checking for third-party quality certifications can help ensure the safety and efficacy of the supplement.
