My first new Cleopatra game: set to legendary and abundant resources. I started with 4 wheat and 4 maize within my first 2 rings. I have the extend religion mod in so I could take sun God as my pantheon. It was glorious.
This Cleo with Etemenanki + Lady of Reeds is so fun/worth dropping the difficulty a tad lower. I couldn’t get Maui for more tiles but I can imagine how amazing they would be!!

Finding Nazca is actually doubly good for a desert-heavy, appeal-based culture game, as Nazca lines also grant +1 appeal. I can already picture perserves surrounded by desert tiles surrounded by Nazca lines and it looks _amazing_
Your choice to build a city in the middle of the desert was very bewildering and infuriating. Why not take a hold of all that lovely floodplains? I am so glad you changed your mind.

Just won a deity domination game with Ptolemaic Cleopatra by churning out a military with faith from the pantheon that gives faith from breathtaking appeal, which Cleopatra has plenty of from floodplains. Very fun surprisingly flexible civ all around!
I have to say: I’m incredibly upset at the content of this video. Imagine my shock as UR shamelessly said O****d University (TWICE) while my child was in the room. Now I have to explain to her teacher where she heard it from. THINK OF THE KIDS URSA! On a serious note, I noticed that recently, either on YT or Discord, a commenter had asked about adding a zoom on the Civ Leader screen and that he added it at 0:42. Always improving. Keep it up 😊
i have made it a rule to always run vampires with cleo so i can not only focus on building wondrs and the such but also to see the funny vampire castles giving me like 20 production 20 food 20 faith and the lot
New Kleo has a better start but Ramses scales with the game because buildings and wonders get more expensive, so you get more from it because you get a flat percentage.
Takeaways from this? Ursa can still pull Golden Ages out of nowhere, having a plan (plus mapping out cities and districts for synergies) is time well spent, new Cleo is going to be silly on the right map!
each time I play one of your savegames im getting trolled hard by the AI i wanted to go Lady og the reef and cree same turned me.... I cant remeber the Ai ever picking Lady of the reef, is this a change after the egypt leaders ?
Haha - honestly no - the issue with new leaders is that everyone plays them at the same time so we'll always cross over a bit! Just saw Potato's vids, looks like a good game!

This build is super strong on the TSL Mediterranean map, with all those marshes and desert floodplains.

Wetlands maps can often force the ai to take that pantheon - just focus on faith generation asap and go again!

The best way to look at it is in triangles - with a space between them - that way you get lots of working tiles!
