As a European living in France, it isnt the case that Monaco is only for the wealthy people. Everybody outside Europe thinks that. But you can enjoy a pizza for €12,- and a beer for €3,- too.

That seems low for a yatch club there, there’s a ton of golf courses around here that much.
But you also probably need to own a yacht. A bit of a different price point than even very nice golf clubs.

That is just the membership fee. Docking a 24 foot yacht, at the club costs over €4k A DAY during the season. Then you need to staff the yacht, fuel the yacht, insure the yacht, do repairs and maintenance of the yacht, feed the crew, and feed yourself and the guests. You are looking at several million € a year to be a member of the club.

@@raha1277 I am talking about docking fees which are based on boat length. That is the minimum fee for the minimum length docking fee. A more typical day rate is as high as €16k.
I’ve been to Monaco and it wasn’t anything special. I prefer Lake Garda in Italy and you don’t need to be wealthy
The reason you move to Monaco is because you are wealthy and you want to network with other wealthy people to grow your wealth, but also because there is no income or estate tax, so you can preserve your generational wealth.

There is nothing to do there.. there are a few shop for woman not much options for men. Bars and restaurants and casino. And SeaWorld and that's it. In. 2 hours by just walking you have seen and done everything you wanted. I prefer the old town where are the last tree and grass I. Monaco.

they do golf, alot, but not in Monaco, just around it. the golf membership cost is higher than that yacht club membership, far expensive than some exclusive golf clubs in HK or SG.

Again, golf is a business tool, far better than a yacht because you could judge someone's character there, not just a bragging point like a yacht. Sure you can entertain your guests in a yacht, but that's it, no other activities and many old folks don't like jetskis or water activities, but golf? Any age can swing and compete, because we don't compete with each other, we compete with ourselves most of the time. Even pleasing and licking arse are easier in golf than a yacht because you can make your guests feel better than you. While in a yacht, you're always the one better than your guests.
