    What's wrong with saturated fat?
Its better than polyunsaturated fat with omega 6

Most processed gluten-free foods are very high in carbs. Often sugars are added to make them palatable.

Thanks. Such an obvious insight I had by looking back into the toilet (general good health habit), but rarely talked about. Unfortunately, a lot of healthy foods(by components, e.g. nuts, hemp seeds), seem to be only partially absorbed.
    Thanks for this lucid presentation

    Hi Dr. Giles,
What if I count total calories of all the raw ingredients (meat, vegeies, legumes, oil etc) that I use to make a dish. And suppose the total number is 1000Cal.
Then, as I understand, the maximum amount of Calories that I could absorb from the dish would always be below 1000!
    Do you agree?

Clickbait title! This does not disprove that calories count. They absolutely still do and this actually reinforces that. Doesn't Yeo say you have to have a deficit to lose weight? So they count! Just because different foods cause different reactions, and that we can't really tell exactly how many calories are in that bite we take and that we don't have 100% control over what happens to the calories we do eat doesn't mean they don't count. We just have to find the most livable balance.

Don't LCHF based diets also rely on the fact that fat metabolized by ß-oxydation generates far less ATP than in presence of carbon hydrates inducing the citric cycle via pyruvate? KETO diets aim for a ketonic metabolism to force the cells into a ß-oxydation, so less ATP is produced per gram of fat - at least that's the idea behind.

Only one way to solve all WHOLE PLANT BASE DIET.

Solve what? There is NO ONE WAY! Maintaining here a 40+lb loss for eleven years while eating some animal foods. The more plant-based I got, the higher my A1c went. Don't give me more restrictions. I don't accept them. The data is cherry-picked, but so it all of it. I guess populations living in far northern or southern climes weren't meant to happen, as it would be a real stretch for them to live on plants.
