It's amazing how cheap 3D printers have improved in value and speed recently, double Z, direct drive, networking, very good bed leveling and hi speed for 200.
Wonderful as always. One of these days if you run out of ideas to review , reviewing 3d printing accessories like air purifiers, filament driers or whatever useful accessories you have found useful would be great. I really appreciate all your efforts and you are making a difference in the 3d hobby world for sure.
Wow, wish my original Ender3 was this good back when I first got it a few years ago hehe
Me too!
I had to spend and extra $100 to get my ender to even print anything
@@stephenteitgenengineering I can't relate. Except for filament and electricity, I haven't spent an extra dime on my original Ender 3. It still does an outstanding job.
@@d.jensen5153 ya I don't no what it is I sent my first one back thinking it was defective but the extuder on the second one grinned to I just got fed up with trying to get it to work and put an h2 on it and got a pei bed
Creality engineers worked hard to get to that $199 MSRP with most of the modern features we want. They did a great job of eliminating cost and complexity (no bed leveling knobs) without adversely impacting the capabilities. As expensive as cable is, I wish manufacturers would switch to a 4 conductor continuous flex rated cable to the extruder instead of a large ribbon cable. CANbus or some similar serial interface could be used and still be less expensive than ribbon cable and connectors. This would allow the cabling to stay the same for new printers as features are added such as LEDs on the print head, an optical filament runout sensor (mere pennies) at the top of the extruder where it's completely painless, etc.
lol
Please make a video about the Creality Ender 3 V3 KE
I just bought it, super simple setup and prints were pretty good with PLA. Weird move from Creality is bot to include the Vibration Sensor in the package, with that it would be a winner against the A1 I guess. But I am just a noob, so 😅
Or they want you to stay as a "modder", i think i will keep this
I'm new to your channel and I must say... It's impressive the amount of useful and straight to the point info you pass in a 25 minute video reviewing a printer.
The comparisons to Prusa and Bambu were the cherry on top. Can't wait for your review on the KE (the one I really want from Creality)
Only 2 minutes in and you've already given me more interesting details than like an hour of other reviews I've seen today. Good stuff!
Love your reviews. Amazing job. I would suggest using not only the same filament brand but the same color for some of the tests of the same model. That would remove a variable in the testing output.
The evolution of the Ender 3 is pretty amazing.
I buy one and it's trash. Then for almost same money I switch for bambu and it's night and day. Ender 3, ever "best" SE version is un-usable.
Great Review. It's not rated for it but I had great success printing abs in an enclosure with it also. I Love this Machine. Got mine on the 9th of August and has been printing Great. Only issue was the 1 of 2 cover hold down screws above the y-axis linear rail was clipping when printing. Replaced with a flush screw problem solved. Already racked up 200 hours on her and still going well.
This is one of the most methodical and well thought through review I’ve seen on this specific printer. I’ve got two Ender 3 v1 and already ordered one 3 v3 se set for evaluation. Might replace the old ones.
This girl knows how a review should be done. Thank you.
Your video is clear and precise, without unnecessary embellishment.
The printed designs are varied and your speech is perfect even for a fluent non-English speaker like me. The close-ups are very detailed and we can clearly see the qualities and defects of the print.
Thanks.
You're definetly the best reviewer out there, great job! And your voice is mesmerizing 😊 Greetings from Argentina.
I just bought a SunLu 3D Print pen the SL-300 Plus I will be using it to fix prints and add detail on 3D printed items. SunLu has the best pens. I also bought a spool of PCL that melts at a crazy low temperature for my grandkids to design using the pen. Thank you to SunLu for sponsoring the channel. ❤
Great review! I hope to see precision ground linear bearings on more budget machines and more of the axes. They should have a much longer service life and are very easy to source parts for.
Thank you for starting to incorporate the first layer sheet test, please show this on all future reviews!
I rarely comment on reviews... actually, I have never commented. However your content has been the most informative and organized video I have ever seen. Your opinions are practical, and your assessment of features is very insightful. Thank you.
So far this is the best video about the Ender-3 V3SE I have seen. Very informative with excellent examples. Thank you!
Thanks for the elaborate video. Really appreciate having a look at the hotend and dissassembled parts
I have 2 printers 3v3 se, both of which have a lot of resonances, it makes a very dragging sound when there is a prominent location on a wall, I am using orca slice standard profile from 3v3se
Excellent review with a combination of qualitative and quantitative print samples. Made it clear that this printer would meet most of my printing needs at the price I am willing to pay. I considered the K1 and Bambu P1P, but this printer will suffice for 99% of my printing needs. Keep up the excellent work!
Still happy with your purchase? Becase i almost threw mine out of the window. Few weeks ago buy a another printer, bambu a1 mini and ender is trash compared to bambu. I don't have one nice and error free print on ender.
@@banny123456I plan on buying a bumbu but my ender 3 v3 se has worked pretty well for the past year and I’ve done lots of fun upgrades.
You are a very knowledgeable young lady. Thank you for making this video. I am looking into getting into 3D printing, and you have been very helpful.
Mine arrived today. I'll dig into it tomorrow. This is brand new to me.
The best review of the Ender 3 V3 SE I've seen to date! I have one due to be delivered in the next couple of hours 🙂. It'll be my second 3D printer, alongside my upgraded Ender 2 Pro. I also had an original Ender 3 (my first ever 3D printer) which I modified and upgraded the heck out of, but sold a few months ago. The Ender 3 V3 SE is a considerable improvement on the original Ender 3!
Always thorough and thoughtful review looks like a $200 winner lots function that deliver a good part. I have a lot of functional train parts where this little guy could be a great production unit. Thank You for sharing this fine review, you guys do a great job, Dennis
I bought this printer because of this video and it was a awsome choice. Ive been very happy with it, comming from a ender 3 clone printer, this one is a beast!!!!! Thank you
I bought it last week. It's been AMAZING so far as my first printer. I had to slightly adjust Z offset manually just a bit when auto level didn't get it perfectly, but that's fine/
Excellent review, I would appreciate it if you could guide us and prepare a video tutorial on how to upgrade the filament detection sensor and the hotend pei sheet, and also links to the appropriate parts because it's not the most clear to all of us thanks
I was waiting for this analysis, I wanted to give my older sister her first printer, something modest this could be a good option
Makes my S1 look old fashioned. Brilliant review. 👍👍👍👍👍
I'll have to check out that recycle plastic, most of my stuff is pretty simple.
Stellar review as always. Would love to see an outro or intro with you doing an Aurora Tech dance routine. Even involving your brother. Your smile and laugh always made my day.
Like this new Creality printer. Good value..
PS loved your chose of background music.
I wish this channel would test also the Ender 3 v3 KE and compare print speed and quality with the SE, side by side.
That first layer sheet @40mm is amazing!!
i was able to put a filament sensor on the v3 it was not easy to do and took about an hour to do had to make custom brackets for it and had to hard wire it directly to the motherboard 150 prints later still works prefect and yes the filament sensor works great
If you get a ender 5 PEI sheet it fits and makes the printer even better. My opinion. Thank you for all your hard work.
Another outstanding review and input to Creality and us. Aurora Tech has become the "Consumer Reports" of 3D printers. Well done. Amazing performance for $200 delivered by Creality. Based on the AnkerMake M5C removal of the display and use of one's smart phone, it seems likely that your suggested additions of a filament run-out sensor and upgraded nozzle could be added without increased cost and maybe even a cost reduction
Really is making the best, most thorough reviews while these other people are trying to be funny with corny jokes.
outstanding review, thank you, great job, and i will be ordering one soon,
Great as always. You helped me decide on K1 Max. Hopefully they’ve fixed some of the things you pointed out that need to addressed. Waiting for its arrival!!! Keep up the great work!!!
Your comment has made me conclude I'm probably right getting the Bambu A1... now it doesn't burn houses down.
Thank you for another great review. This looks like a very good machine for the price, but the only other 'con' thatI see is that it still has a PTFE tube in the extruder/hotend. Perhaps since this printer is designed for beginners, Creality thought it was better to have the printer designed for lower temperature filaments. Do you think it would be easy to fit an all-metal heat break to this hotend?
Out of the box with a probe + dual z for $200! Great deal. I think I paid $100 for those two things alone lol
I’ll have mine late Jan 2024…. Can’t wait to dive in
This was a PERFECT review! Great video. I just received my V3 SE and the z-offset is not accurate like yours so it is attempting to print too high. With the included model on the SD card. I'll try to manually compensate and see how it goes. A little disappointing being that the z-offset should be automatic.
I was about to be super poo poo on this printer and say it doesn't do this and it doesn't do that. But I took a step back. This is $200 and this is kind of everything you need for a beginner and I'm not a beginner. This printer wasn't meant for me, I completely agree with you about the filament run out sensor and if this printer is geared for beginners rookies will make that mistake. I've done that twice, when I first started. I just wish it went to 300° on the hot end but now that I have printed for as long as I have, only 3 years though, plus 260 isn't really needed on an open frame printer in my opinion, but there are so many enclosure solutions now that are cheap. That's why I'm a stickler for the 300. Epic review.
Really hoping creality would release an allmetal hotend upgrade for this printer in order to print ABS and ASA without any worries
Thank you for this video. I just saw the Creality product launch. I have looking forward to your review of the Ender 3 V3 and V3 Plus. These were shown along with this SE and the KE. If possible a comparison of the Ender 3 V3 and the Neptune 4 Pro would be ideal.
Great unbiased, factual review. Thank you...
Hi, im hopefully getting this for chrismas! This would be my first printer. Cant wait.
The 27 minute benchy they gave you looks like it's .25 layers too.
Those are some great results from the printer. Mine is set to be delivered today.
This is my first time on your channel, and I must say, the contrast is striking. You have the voice of a 30-year-old American female voice actress, yet you appear as a 12-year-old Asian girl. That's mind-boggling. 😂
Can you all do a review on the KE
Todaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay another professional review from Lung-team.
Another great Review. The best on TH-cam imo.
Any chance you'd be able to review some higher priced printers to compare to the normal hobby printers? I'm interested in the Pantheon HS3 in particular.
I'd also like to see you maybe incorporate some sort of accuracy test for these printers, not just the clearance test, but printing an actual part and measuring it to see how accurate the finished parts are
Keep them coming. Thanks.
If they're willing to send me one, I'd be happy to review that machine. I'll also consider adding accuracy tests in the future.
Got one recently delivered. Gonna set it up tomorrow. Great review!
I do wish it was possible to get a better and smaller network module
I like how the little sensor pops out like a pinkie testing the temperature of the tea. So dignified. I love your reviews, do you have any recommendations for buying used printers, refurbished, out of box, demo model kind of thing?
Just search on eBay; there are quite a lot of used/refurbished machines at super low prices. As long as you can fix some minor issues, they are a pretty good deal.
@@AuroraTech Thanks. I'm not in a hurry so I'm trying to draw from the wisdom of people like you. 🧐 Are you bridge and tunnel Danville?
As a user of the Ender 3 pro, with all mods possible, this model at this price is very cheap, and capable to print any material.
I've been wanting to get into 3d printing this looks like a good candidate
would be nice if you can make a video on what parts to upgrade and how to go about it
La mejor descripción de producto, felicitaciones y gracias. ¿Podrían explicar cómo conectar la impresora al wifi? MUCHAS GRACIAS abrazos desde Colombia.
What a great review.
I was looking for a second printer and decided to buy this one after watching.
tks
Excellent review. Seriously. Very in depth and exactly what I was looking for.
That's a lot of Nice to haves for $199... Love watching your stuff its soo well done
Creality has the legacy and brand recognition to do it. With that new Kobra 2 Pro out it so hard to decide which pros and cons you can accept. Roller bearings on the X axis, and with the backing of the Creality community this would be a budget beast if there was input shaping from the get-go. With Bambu Lab starting the next gen trend of 3D printing, I do wish to see a bedslinger I can still say I would purchase today. My 1st printer was the Aquila X2 which is pretty much the Ender 3 V2. Now I got a P1S+AMS Combo I'm content. Though I do miss tinkering so I'm waiting for that affordable bedslinger that will give my P1S a run for its money. Great work as always! The 3D printing princess and should be up there with the likes of Melissa Wu and the like.
None of Anycubic's FDM printers are good. Avoid them at all costs. I run a repair shop and the Anycubic machines have electrical and quality issues like you wouldn't believe.
@@ThantiK I've own in chronological order Aquila X2, Flsun SR, Kobra, Ender 2 Pro and P1S+AMS Combo. Never had an issue with any of them. I believe user error probably amounts to a lot of the issues.
This is how you present a review video. Thank you.
If I level my V2 Neo every print at the printing temperature for my material, and set the Z offset every print, I get almost invisible layer lines. The magic of Creality is this. The Voodoo side is that I must level and set Z every print...even if I don't change material...
I want this. Faster, fairly clean, and clean looking.
Excellent review of this printer, creality should be very happy with that. Seems like a decent printer for that price. Good stuff 👍
Great video! I have been waiting for an in-depth review of this printer.
I was just thinking abut getting Anycubic Kobra 2... as a cheap upgrade to old (barely used) E3 Pro... and now... Dunno again... :)
WOW!! $199!? thats fire.
With some input shape tests and klipper this migh be able to achieve 150mm/s constantly without drawbacks
Maybe this could be the new lineup beyond the V3 SE
Ender 3 v3 S1 - PEI sheet, all metal hotend, filament sensor, better cooling, Wi-Fi
Ender 3 v3 S1 Pro - same as previous, mainboard upgrade for Klipper
Hi, I'm totally lost in the different offerings of Creality (and competitors) 500 USD printers. What I'm looking for is a printer that can just print after an initial setup. I would not tinker it all day nor look for mods, but just print with the best quality and resolution possible. Speed is no factor but building area is key, the higher the better. I was recommended the Ender-3 but I wasn't told the exact model. Based in my research the Ender-7 was attratcive, but it seems like it's sub-par on quality. Now I'm looking at the Ender-3 S1 Plus, but also the S1 Pro has some features I can't tell if I need (and less building area). I'd use it for longer prints, 1..2 per week for small series product printing. Always the same choice of (PLA?) filament. Any ideas are welcome! Cheers :D
I bought it, thanks for everything, keep it up
Thanks Aurora. great work as usual.
Looking forward to your cr10 se review
FYI, spotted the infinite cube on Star Trek Picard S01E07 11:29 on 24:50 of the episode if anyone's interested...
Any news on this new CR-10 with klipper and linear rails? I read about it somewhere but forgot to screenshot it. Glad creality is waking up to changes in the space overall, seems like they’re listening to your feedback
Yes, they are sending me the CR-10 SE and I will try to fit it in my overloaded schedule.
So informative and clean review 🙂
For a beginner, would this be the recommended entry level printer now? Or the Sovol SV06? Print size and speed not being an issue. Mostly concerned with precision for functional prints
Which option is better ender v3 se for 242 CAD or bambulab a1 mini for 389 CAD?
If the size of the A1 Mini is good enough for you, the A1 Mini.
Hi Aurora. Can you please include multi color prints when you review a 3d printer? Can a multi color print be done on the Ender 3 V3 SE setup as it is or must one use Cura? Thanks
Даже слабое знание английского позволяет понять смысл. Отличное изложение. Отличное произношение. Продолжай.
the twinkling pla looks neat. i bet you could print some nice minifigs or something like that with it.
i wonder how this machine would perform when hooked up to a sonic pad
You are so chill til you get to the cons lmfao awesome vid
Very thorough review. Thank you.
Cool review video, 199$ is awesome
Why are you teasing me with all the new machine... I can't afford anything right now and I need to fix what I have not buy new one
Thanks for all the videos you post event those not relate to 3d printing. If I need a new machine I know where to go to get a nice overview and rating.
Keep ok printing. ❤❤❤
This looks like a fantastic beginners printer
Well presented, thank you 👏🏻
Your reviews are awesome and by far the best I've seen in TH-cam. All information but in short time explainined. I've come to your channel by searching for reviews about the OMG extruder and I'm glad I did, because watching your videos is simply amazing for gaining knowledge about new hardware!
How does this compare to the Elegoo Neptune 3 Pro at the same price point?
Hey Aurora! I purchased one based on this awesome review. I am also getting that weird noise fan at 127 . Did you hear back from Creality?
I just ordered a ender 3 v3 se as my first printer. The part i didn't take into consideration is that i would like to print CF with this machine but it doesn't print at the temperature to print this material, how can i upgrade my ender 3 v3 se ??
@Aurora Tech. I'm just about to get this today, if I bought it through your link do you get some sort of percentage/cut etc? If so, that's what I'll do....Best review I've seen yet on here. Fingers crossed for a reply before I buy
Why it's not compare to Kobra 2 Pro :(
I have problem with choose my first printer Ende 3 V3 SE vs Cobra 2 Pro vs Sidewinder X3 Pro
Very good review. Please review of Elegoo Neptune 4 / 4 Pro and compare it with V3 SE.
I thought youvneed an all metal hotend for ABS printing
