- Travel with the train driver as we journey along the West Coast Wilderness Railway from Lynchford to Queenstown in Tasmania, Australia on a steam locomotive, Mount Lyell No. 3. This line was originally built for the Mount Lyell mining company to haul copper from Queenstown to the markets until closure in 1963. The line was re-laid for tourist operations around 2000 and commenced operations in December 2002. As of November 2024, the railway operates trains from both ends with the section in the middle between Rinadeena and Lower Landing closed for major upgrade works. October 2024.
