I like watching your passenger trains on Driver's eye view..
@@LadyRickie I'm very happy to hear you enjoy them 😊 👍
Excellent. Looking forward to the rest of the trip to Albury in stages 👍
@@AndrewCastlemaine it's coming 👍 glad you are enjoying them 👍 😀
Greetings to all railfans around the world.
@@KenanTurkiye Thank you from everyone and greetings to you also. 😀😀👍
🥳😎Nice thank you.
@@robertcoleman4861 you're welcome. 👍😀
Very good Col. Well done.
@@MrErnieNelson thanks Ernie. Hope you're doing well. Haven't caught up with you for a while. 👍😀
Nice to see the Ghan loco all bright and sparkling clean, obviously been in for maintenance check up before returning to S.A.....
@@noelroberts8199 glad you enjoyed it 👍 😀
Great video
@@yargn3594 thank you. Very happy you enjoyed the ride 👍 😀
I need to take a trip to Albury one of these days. Perhaps later in the month on a cooler day.
@@georgeheilman4243 it's also a good way to escape the heat if someone doesn't have air-conditioning at home. A nice ride in an air-conditioned train. 😀😀👍
Wow! Look at all that dual gauge track in the Southern Cross yards. Cool bananas.
The SA state gov. tells me we can't do that here. I wonder why?😵💫
after years of installing dual gauge sleepers, a major yard job was put in the "too hard" basket by weatherall. i saw him say it. there was a big bridge over the lines and i think a new workshop being built. he said it wasnt worthwhile. fool. it was the chance to get over the hard bit and the rest of the conversion would be easy. and of course in victoria you have the now premier saying a report she ordered said it wasnt worth converting the rest of the murray basin to sg. and she refused to release this report. anyway, the oppositions would give you buses.
All this time i thought the trestle bridge was a single track...
@@nickmorris8748 two tracks across the bridge. One broad gauge and one standard gauge. The second bridge is one standard gauge and one dual gauge. 👍😀
You’d think they would remove the derelict telegraph poles by now as they look like an eye sore coming into Melbourne
I like the poles as they are synonymous with railways but I would say the factories and rubbish are not a very good look along there for people coming into Melbourne by train. 🤔👍😊
How was Albury last year 😊
@@vlinenclasstrains it was good Charlie. 👍😀
@@driver667 that’s good to hear Colin 😊
Hard to stay on schedule with so much adverse signalling and routing.
Surprisingly, the train will usually arrive at the destination on time even with all those moves going on. 👍😀
What do the numbers on the white & yellow signs mean?
@@FilterSelect white are km's from Melbourne. Yellow are speed around and direction of the curve. 👍😀
How is the ghan video going?
@@Lazay-di7gw I haven't done a video on the Ghan. Travelled on the Indian Pacific a while ago. 🤔🤔👍
Yes thats a Dual Gauge
@@Mediawatcher2023 👍😀
What's with the 'wrong way' running? If you had been on the LH (down) track, there would have been no need to use the loop to let the freight pass. And I noticed that there were quite a few PWS!
@@DavidWilliams7037A this train is on standard gauge. The tracks to our left at the loop where we passed the freight are broad gauge. I am assuming they are the tracks on the left you are talking about. 🤔👍😀
How come u passed a stop signal at 20:38?
Look closely there is a low speed yellow signal for the loop underneath the double red
@BennyBlack1 ah yes I see now
Cool thanks .👍
Excruciatingly slow.
@@jameshowitt2463 a few trains to get past coming out of Melbourne. 😀😀👍
is that standard and narrow gauge next to each other? fascinating.
victoria has standard and irish gauge.
@@glenod this train is running on standard gauge (4' 8.5"). Broad gauge (5' 3") is the rest of the Victorian passenger system. 👍😀
