Yes , please continue talking about Disney comics, also please talk about Harvey comics; like Richie Rich, Casper, Spooky, Hot Stuff, Little Dot and so on. I’m really into the Harvey comics.
Do you know the italian comics too? They're great. They make Mickey this adult that is a detective, they give Donald a secret superhero identity and everyone is just more grown-uppy. You should really read into them!
Disney comics are cool I only recently discovered don rosa and carl barks duck comics a while go . Have read some drakwing duck comics before that though. I don’t know if you know, but fans graphics . Released the life the and times of scourge mc duck both volumes . As well as the collections of the Disney afternoon comics . Also there is podcasts on don rosa and Carl barks duck comics .
Okay thanks. I seem to remember that in Rosa's 'The Life and times..' there were some full pages directly from Bark's work, colored in a way that seemed to have a kind of shading like with paint or ecoline. I assumed most of Bark original work was more or less colored that way, but I might be mistaken. @@NerdCrave
@@Asphodellife the original Dell four color comics can still be found, at varying prices, but not insane. You can find an original barks issue for 20$ if you look hard enough
Great collection, but Paul Murry with 3 volumes from DISNEY MASTERS so far, was American and his stories were published in US (top 3 for mickey/goofy stories). But surely those volumes are gorgeous!
I’m only here for Disney comics, but if you have classic bande dessinees that would also be good. I think Uderzo and maybe Peyo are only artists to match barks and gottfredson
I agree that the Fantagraphics Barks library has a lovely layout but unfortunately they censored quite a number of Barks' storys to make them politically correct for our times. Barks wrote his storys decades ago and of course he used a different language than it is used today. But at least I want to read the books as written by Barks. That's why I still prefer the Another Rainbow Barks hardcover library from the 80s in black and white and the Gladstone softcover edition from the 90s. I especially love the trading cards collection that was included with the softcover albums.
The censorship is a shame, but I have digital versions of all the originals to go back to when I feel the need. I’d still love to get the 80’s set someday, it was a childhood dream
Really?? I thought they had just put a disclaimer or something. That's a shame, I have the greek edition of the complete Barks library and I really love the latest greek translation but I was hoping I could get to read everything in the original, as written by Barks.
collection of disney wonderfull world of reading '70/'80/early '90s book club edition some American first editions 25 in all anyone interested before listing ?

I have a bunch of European stuff, but I’m still looking for more
I think those comics look awesome. Hardcover comics collections are always classy.
Keep up with more videos than gaming!
Ok! Got a VHS video coming soon
@@NerdCrave the AVGN did a VHS video recently too.
I wish they made more comics for the 2017 ducktales I know everyone wasn’t a fan but I sure was
Me too

I have all those books now, but I don’t know about the podcast, please share it’s name and where I can find it
Do you know of any Barks collections that have the original (uneven) coloring intact? I happen to like that far more than modern remasters actually.
Sadly no, I’m pretty sure even the collection from the 80s was retouched

I dont think they censored all that much yet? Maybe going forward they will. It’s mostly uncensored.
