  • Reaction To Die Anstalt (Exposing Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton) | German Satire React
This is my reaction to Die Anstalt (Exposing Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton)
In this video I react to more German satire from Die Anstalt and this time their take on Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton before the 2016 Presidential Election. German television really has some of the best satire and comedy anywhere in the world, where you get to see truly transparent takes on everything including politics.

Eh, it's easier to understand than a thick southern accent, those nasally twangs and infuriating drawls and making every god damn vowel a diphthong, but easier to understand than most Americans? That feels wrong.
I am not saying you are lying, it probably is like that for you, but it's surprising. To be honest, I don't think any English accent is particularly difficult to understand, compare to German dialects they are generally very mild.

they don't only show original material in the show. they upload a factcheck onto their homepage for every episode, listing where they got the data from that parts of the show are based on. that's one of the reasons why there is one episode only every few months. it's a lot of research work.

Well US constitution allows the country to be ruled from prison in theory. If everything continues those trials maybe even help Trump even if he is proven guilty.
The real issue though is that there are two parties that are locked by two old men in a country of 360 million people. There is no competition about the office. Nobody has a chance to break through this system. Democracy is totally fucked up in the US, starts with the fixed voting districts that are essentially not competed for, they are either red or blue. The house of representatives has an approval rate of 20% but a re election chance of 90%. There is also no robust campaign financing law, very easy to use super pac. There is no rule for fair representation in TV, you see that in primaries when some candidates get much more speaking time and some almost nothing. Only in presidential debates this is a thing but then the election has already been rigged because the candidate was set up by the party and media not by a fair election.
There are people trying to fix these problems but they get very little attention.

the problem with the US political system is, that there are only two parties. this may have worked in the early years after the founding of the US, but they missed the point at which it would‘ve been smart to do reforms that allowed more parties. because especially nowadays in this complex world having to choose between two block parties can only be the decision between plague an cholera…

    • @NilsNone

There are other political parties. The US has a green party, a liberal party and many more. 100years ago the liberals (usualy assigned the color yellow) were in the top ranks and had a few states+ seats in the senate. The laws are there but the two big parties created and strengthened the belief that a vote for a thirt party that can't possibly win is a cast away vote. A voice unheared... so most voters cling to the lesser evil dem or rep....

    • @miriamweller812
      @miriamweller812 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

Oh, it's even worse, there are only two parties which are actually one party.
It's as shit as our german system, where you got one left wing party which is attacked in all possible propaganda ways by our right wing media, and the rest are right wing parties which deliver the same show as the Dems and Reps: pretending to be different, while the are one and the same.
You got the Greens, which lie about to be pro natur and peace, while doing the opposite.
You got the SPD which lies about to be social, while being the opposite.
You got the CDU, which lies about having any clue about economy, while the are just corrupt.
You got the CSU, that is the same as the CDU, just even more corrupt.
You got the FDP, which talks about freedom, but only means the freedom to shovel more pockets into their pockets and that of their clients.
And you now got the AfD, created for the stupid as fake protest party, that lies about everything and is there to say all the ugly, racist things the othe right wing parties don't want to say like that for image reasons.
Those are ONE block, just like Reps and Dems.
It's always the same and only works because the majority of people are stupid.
