i see this is from a year ago...well I appreciate it so much! It does take a lot of patience with some children. It is easy to feel like a failure yourself, or that Montessori doesn't work. It takes what amounts to a "leap of faith" that transforms the teacher as well as the student. Thanks so much for talking about this and I can't wait to read the book!

Madam, thanks for such a clear and engaging explanation.
My son goes to a Montessori school in India, and we are educated on what we can do at home, but this video has added more insights to it

My child is being left behind at his Montessori school. The teacher communicated with me he will need to repeat child's house (he is turning 6) and will not go with the other kids to the next level.

@@Beginnerreadsthebible as a teacher, montessori is a nightmare. Just playing without any structure ...no

I can't watch through..... if the system doesn't work for your kid, perhaps the system is at fault. You are asking the parent to conform to the system. You are (sorry) blaming the parent for the system not working. Parents are susceptible to that guilt. I want to suggest something else. It is possible that the highly structured, do it this way, follow this method - that is closer to control and not as nurturing as a child might need. Oh, it works for many, but it might not be a healthy choice for your child. Just a thought.
