Thank you for the video, I can so relate to this video. I have 3 and half year old and I am looking at his second progressive report today from his montessori school. I am interested to find out your opinion about if you advise buying any of those materials that they use at school at home as well. Such as sandpaper letters or moveble alphabeth, etc. Thank you!

Typically I leave Montessori materials for the classroom (we do have some at home, but I rarely bring them out). I want those to be fun, new and exciting. If they see them at home they won’t be as interested in the classroom. However, I will bring out our sandpaper letters this summer so my son can work on them while he is out of school for the summer. Hope that helps!

aaaa i think i final get it basically these schools are like the technically highscools you had a choice to go into instead of normal highschools.

How do you find a school like this?

Some things I look for in a Montessori school are that it has mixed age classes and the teachers are Montessori trained. Many larger cities have public charter Montessori schools, and there are usually private Montessori schools in many areas. I would stay away from schools that are not mixed ages and do not have trained teachers, a lot of preschools call themselves Montessori when they are not. Hope this helps!
