Beautiful….it has been years since I was at Roxborough. At that time, it was little known, no people around, just bears and rattlesnakes. Not able to hike anymore, so thank you for taking us along on these lovely trails. Say hello to Rocky. God bless!!!
I loved this video so much ! I would give anything to be able to hike, somedays just walk without severe pain. So I am hiking vicariously through your videos !!! I got my VIKING Spirit Forest tee shirt today and I love it !! Got it in black, washed it and wore it out today. I got lots of comments, I told them to look you up on TH-cam!! Hugs from Kansas!! Viking women rock !! Lol !!
So very kind of you to think of future hikers by providing them a place to rest after you've moved on...and so appropriate as you always give your love of the outdoors to others. Very nice video. Thanks.
Hi Tammy, the background music is soothing and very relaxing it's good for the mind, beautiful country, idyllic scenery, thanks for taking us along. excellent video and your talk. All the best. You are a delight to watch, your videos are captivating.
Nice hike. I have sachets of mayo, so I don't have to worry about refrigeration. Sachet was also the word of the day on my calendar, so I am really glad to have worked that in to a comment.
MorningWood Here in Texas a sachet is what your wife puts in her underwear drawer, and Mayo comes in packets. But what do I know, I’ve never seen a word of the day calendar,I’ve sure never owned one.
Though a very beautiful place.. and you cant really beat it much.. but any where my dog cant go i don't go.. Those hydration packs are AWESOME! Jack links, and chocolate chip cookies OMG.
Absolutely stunning views. You are truly lucky to live close to such a beautiful location. It looks like people respect the area because other than the trail being cut through, it looks pristine. Awesome, thanks for sharing!
lovely scenary Tammy. What a great idea a bench,i see them in a wood near me also.I had one off those water bladders,What ever make i could not use it,the taste of plastic in the water.i now days use stainles steel container,Happy hiking .
Nothing like a great hike on the woods to clear the mind right love going hiking you get fresh air its peaceful and at tbe end of every walk it puts a smile on your face like you accomplish something loving your videos always thanks nature girl for giving us your time and and your tips during your videos keep up the great work hey first one to make a comment again i must be your true fan lol peace 😁👍
I live about 2000 miles due north of you, same time zone. (Canadian Arctic) We have snow too. LOL Always enjoy visiting the mountains in any season. Always a peaceful easy feeling, like coming home. Safe travels.
Always a pleasure walking with you. I keep calling you Norsewoman, but I think Cookie Monster fits you best. Thanks Tammy for the smiles and warm heart.
Looks like a great hiking trail. I just moved last Fall from Estes Park and I miss being up in the Rockies so much! Need to explore other areas too. Nice music and the hydration pack is very nice as well!
Nice video beautiful country kinda reminds me of what the area around cottonwood and sedona az looks like I've asked my sons to place my ashes under a meswuite tree planted out in the desert just seems fitting cause of how much i love it out there stay safe till next time
Wow Tammy it looks like you picked a very beautiful area to hike seems like a peaceful place. Not a fan of water bladders I prefer to use water bottles so I can see how much water I have.
I'm familiar with Unigear brand.I think I have one Unigear compass. It looks like a military style hydration pack. Not only due to camo pattern but also because of the PALS webbing(where you can attach MOLLE equipped pouches etc)and the velcro strip for patches. Excellent video T.Especially finishing with you sittin' on that bench!
Its definitively time spring breaks in, hiking without snow is on. Good luck for a new season, also time to gain stamina after winter sleepiness. Cheers.
I think you would enjoy the rainbow trail it spans the front range from new mexico to Wyoming, but I havent been that far on it . I have hunted off of it and fished off it. it's a beautiful trail, but that was 34 years ago. I,m just saying , it is something to look into . let me know what you think . you,re doing great girl !!!
Tammy, Thanks for this beautiful video. I needed that. I do like the idea of the benches. I have already set be that in place, one for a public park and one on a hiking trail. I did this a few years ago . Thanks for sharing. Stay safe in the woods.
At this time of the year I’m soooo consumed with cars and car shows but you have inspired me to get out and also enjoy nature. We have a place called Hawk Mountain, my dad took me there when I was a kid every fall. It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been there with a friend and now you made we want to go back and enjoy it. I’ve post my last trip on TH-cam and you can check it out under my name. Now I’m anxious to get back and hike it and enjoy the beautiful Mountain View’s. I have subscribed to your videos and have enjoyed every one I’ve looked at. I’ve been so involved with my car projects I almost forgot about the beauty of nature and the precious memories I have of my dad and me. I hope you keep posting your everyday happenings because I really enjoy then, especially when your at Spirit Forests. Ok guess I’ve said enough but I just wanted you to know that I’m a loyal fan and have looked forward to your newest videos. Thank you and I’ll keep posted. 😃👍🏻. PS-I’m on Facebook if anyone is interested and I welcome your friendship. Check it out. 😃👍🏻
Amazing indeed👍. It must be nice to be able to see so far at the top. Most of the peaks with a view here in Norway, we only see to the next peak with a valley in between. Not such flat landscapes as in Colorado. But along the coast it is different though. - Thank you very much for sharing this nice trip and let the Spirit Force be with you and your family🙏
I do love the Colorado environment, just not the politics. Any trail that starts with "No" anything is a turnoff. "Crowded trails" is an oxymoron, too. I picked up a hydration pack/day pack some years ago, but never used it much. Like you said, not enough space or pockets. Michael from Texas
I've always wanted to go to Colorado, and I finally did last Monday...I was stuck at the airport in Denver because of a delayed flight. I was NOT expecting it to be so cold though, lol.

How about putting up a stone bench sooner than later. You could put on your message and name I don’t know that dates matter. This way you could sit on your own bench and enjoy the day
That's no trail, that's a freeway. At the start there you could drive a buffalo herd up there. Those benches are cool though. I like the memorials. Ya I've left word with my kids to scatter my ashes at Dutch Oven, on the south fork of Makenzie river. May be my ashes will feed some of the bull trout in there.
A technical day hydration pack? Too complicated for me. My favorite daypack, which I have to carefully conserve, is a very old (ancient but venerable) very light Jansport. Not made of ripstop, not made of cordura, but something in between that even 15 years ago they said the could not repair or replace because they didn't even know how old it was. They replaced it with something new but kindly sent it back to me as well, and I repaired it myself. From the era before hydration packs. I prefer a bottle, and having two simple compartments, one that can take bigger stuff, one that keeps the small stuff, and no extra straps, clips, or weight. A stone bench is going to be pricey, if you want to do that...make sure to figure the price and inflation in your will, they could double in price in 20 fast years.
Far too many people in that park for me. Even here in Iowa we have far more isolated forests were you can hike all day and hardly ever bump into another hiker. Less of these locations every year it seems.
That's sad you can't take your dogs . But other people have ruined it for others . Because they are to sorry to clean up the dog poop . Nice place and hike .
Nice Video, pleace do me a favor dont talke about passing away, you are so joung and pretty and a whole bunch of years are comming on you. So pleace dont talk about passing away. GfG Walter from the Black Forest
