Well, there's tons of living things in the feces which is coming from who knows where.
Honestly, I'd guess the worst case for the fungus tablets is that it just dies and ends up as fertilizer for fungi already in the soil. But yeah, it would be nice to check.
Tht should be addressed.
Weird, it’s almost like all the goobers moving to Colorado from the fly-over states don’t realize there’s a difference between what they see on instagram and actually *having* proper outdoor ethics. I used to live in CO, but have moved on to better locales (no I’m not saying where, don’t come here) but there was a marked uptick in really shitty (excuse the pun) outdoor practices beginning in about 2013 or 14. Combine that with trailheads being overrun, RVs loaded with “campers” everywhere and everyone looking for that perfect social media post. It became obvious it was time to GTFO for me. Have fun with I-70 y’all and all the new folks from the south! 🤣
They were/are coming from many places, top of them is Cali, then NY, Washington, Oregon so on and so on. Bring with them their attitudes, politics, money, and social media illnesses. They pushed everything out of whack with reality. Working homeless in Colorado now. They have changed CO beyond recognition. Chinese buying up all the mountain real estate. Rich people who do not care about the rights of others; all while complaining about protecting the rights of others ;)
I don't give a poop to the woods.
Dig a small hole, do your stuff, then let nature do the rest.
If only we can get all the wildlife to do this ...dumbest report today. Theres more wildlife pooping in the woods than humans and if not the woods try standing under power lines with birds just waiting for something to crap on like your freshly washed car.
I've seen a few unleashed dogs on trails, feasting on some of that human poop.
Digging is better than nothing, but in busy areas its not enough. It doesn't break down fast enough. You have to use Wag bags and pack it out.
yeah, no
Its disgusting. Leave no trace used to be the mantra..........irresponsible
There is a proper way to poop in the wild and it isn't depositing your crap on the ground without burying it and then leaving your toilet paper lying there. Bury your poop and take your TP with you. The TP doesn't just somehow disappear a few days after you leave, it stays there for YEARS.
Where are your sources? It’s paper. Made from wood. It’s meant to break down.
Not years but definitely weeks or even months if the conditions are not right
You can use TP, just not your regular Charmin 10-ply.
So whut cha sayin is... All of the sudden after 100,000 years... Humans are all the sudden acting like wild animals?
the implants are very respectful 🙄
Colorado has really become overrun and crowded so I’m not surprised by the poop problem lol. Luckily it’s still wild here in lonely Wyoming, the way I prefer it.
shhh
Colorado is a liberal shithole
So they don’t use corn cobs no more!
I guess I've always been lucky we live in Oregon The rain washes everything away And cleans the woods up nice
In Denver, it’s not hidden, it’s in plain sight
Hard to dig a cat hole in concrete.
And then they just throw all the packaging and empty container..
In the garbage when they get home. It’s called pack it in pack it out.
@@chrisfleming701 If people practice it.
@@KtP370 someone who bothers to take this with them and use it is probably the type of person who will pack it out.
@@chrisfleming701 One can be hopeful but it's not the people "that bother" that are the problem.
@@chrisfleming701 Most people are not going to carry their shit with them, no matter how much you Incentivize it.
What’s the problem with digging a small hole and burying it? Too old fashioned?
Nothing. That is what they are trying to encourage. Didn’t you watch the video?
The problem is that many people do not bury it.
What part about 4.6 Million visitors did you miss?
What did Colorado expect when Californian's started moving in?
Denver is horrible. Who thinks people are going to goto the mountains and dig a hole and cover it up??? They use the sidewalk in Denver!!
The sh*t problem we have is Denver!
Yeah ……
Get the government to buy your product
does this work on denver sidewalk?
If your dog brings home human poop the problem is your dog.
Scent camouflage by rolling in poop and dead things is natural, it’s instinct
Our poop decomposes very fast.people pooping in the forest is in no way a problem.
You're full of it.
@@iGame3D use your 2 brain cells.
Think about hiking trails in California its way worse on all levels.
Fungus is among us all the time everywhere especially in the soil. Don't need tablets, don't need the addition of millions upon millions of little plastic shovels to add to all the other toxic plastics everywhere. Is it really genius or just another way to make money for that one guy?
You should see all these illegal compounds built up here in Park County (Hartsel), where less than 10% have a septic system, and the rest just "dump" their waste in/on the ground...! It all flows downhill, so bon appetite, Denver
Fantastic news channel.
If I still went to the hills, I would definitely use that. What a great idea! But I stopped going…too many people.
Poo doesn't need any added microorganisms to break down.
It very much does in the high country.
If this helps do it faster then it's a positive thing. With the increased volume of shit it will eventually overtake the local area's ability to filter it out before the bacteria and other disease carrying microorganisms get to groundwater. Not to mention, topsoil is much thinner in the mountains than elsewhere.
@@daemn42 No, it will still break down. The problem is that there are too many poopers and not enough time for the poop to break down.
@@daemn42 ok. What's different about high country? I guess i should have said poo doesn't need any help here in the rainy, fertile soils of the midwest.
@@luisostasuc8135 fair enough. Different situation than here for sure.
This beats putting dog shit into bags then leaving the all over the place (in the river, in trees, bushes, etc).
Does it nullify pharmaceuticals?
The problem.... if you have a contagious illness.... does it stay alive?
Not to mention all the homeless drawn by the rampant legal drug usage. Gross.
I see an Emmy Award in your future! It shows how we must micromanage everyone from soup to nuts…
Sell those in Europe. Sick of seeing toilet paper and feces all over the trails.
And I thought Europeans were more civilized.
@@OptimusOnefar from it. Definitely a cultural thing.
It’s the “refugees”. Most people know better.
@@rubyrainsong I didn’t actually see who left the mess. I did like the pay to play bathrooms in most countries because you knew you were getting a clean facility. However there were very few free public bathrooms. I assumed pop a squat was the cultural.
Well no wonder those aspens are growing so well!😅
Human Fertilizer.
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Pack it out! Or, you won’t be able to find a spot to camp or cook that is not right on top of poop
So to save time, can you swallow the 3 pellets so they're automatically included with the poop?
Asking for a friend.
give a poop, people.
Colorado has alot of dirty secrets
We need to change our ways folks. Admit there's a people problem, our poop is vile.
You have to go, it is not by choice, this is a great idea and start in a better direction. Thank you for providing that, and taking an initiative. ♥
Most people from this state and country know better. It’s the new arrivals who don’t. Canadian beaches have the same problem.
People used to dig a hole and bury it. I guess they’ve forgotten how to dig holes.
@@OnTheRiver66 People don’t dig holes, some don’t know how to properly dig holes, and some places have too many holes.
Human poop is really vile! And dogs love it. Ugh!!!! I take dogs on off leash outings to a private property that allows me to. When workers are there, hunters or runners that have to go, the dogs always find it. So Gross!!
Thanks K. This topic needs to be covered😆
Do you supply the homeless shelters with them or give them to homeless?
This is literally a sales ad
And so is 3/4ths of You Tube.
Yep, a pretty shitty one too.
It’s free
@@digipainting everything’s free to a communist lmao 🤣
The poop issue is a big one, they're handing these out for free because of how bad it is, so yeah an add but also a PSA to clean up after yourselves.
My dog literally found poop and toilet paper on the main trail up Mount Evans. It was the worst thing to happen ever, i could not understand who poops in the middle of such a heavily trafficked trail 💔
Who buries the bear , elk, bird and cougar poop.
Nature fixes that but human poop is quite bad for us, we’re very susceptible to the diseases we carry.
It's not as disgusting and hazardous as human poop.
Well, if cougars are anything like house cats they cover it up themselves 😂
So? Are you going to ask all the other animals to dig holes too? It already degrades, the fungi is already out there because the spores are in every breath we take. What a gimmick.
WHAT ABOUT BEARS...That $@#t in the woods?😂
Only half way the other would be exiting the woods
What a poetic intro, that was nice.
Poops in the clear running streams.
They need to put composting toilets in the backcountry. Maybe the government could actually do their damn job for once.
Colorado…we have a poop problem
India…hold my beer…
Maybe they could send a few to San Francisco.
