You may have noticed that the soil is frozen and covered with snow 8 months a year, so you cannot grow chili, pepper etc. Therefore we are not used to spicy food, but this is changing, because spicies are imported from all over the world. So buy spicies and the problem is solved.

Oh yes and last summer was so rainy and very little sun. I only got two chillies from my garden. I tried to grow the ones I don't find in the supermarkets. Yes for now I use dried chillies but its always nice to have fresh ones.

It's clear you live in some small town/city.
As a native Finn here is few of my experiences: I have never heard of leaving food outside except when de-icing your freezer. Also kids that small rarely are out alone except maybe on their own yards in smaller towns/cities. In the city they are not alone even on their/apartment complex yard before they are maybe 5-6 years old and some not before school age. Also usually in the parties you only bring your own alcohol except if it's potluck where everybody brings something for everyone. Though it is polite to bring something small for the hosts (like packet of cookies) and often they end up sharing it.

Yes it is a small town in northern Finland, hence, different experiences. Ofcourse, life is not same compared to other big cities in Finland. Thanks for sharing your experience😃.

Guessing that Finns would have huge cultural shocks in Malwai, then! Do you feel better adapted now after a year? Do you speak a little Finnish?

Absolutely! Yes my Finnish has improved greatly and I use it everyday.

@@dedrasdetours I'm happy to hear - because knowing a little Finnish will be a huge ice-breaker. There are so many adult Finns who don't use English but perhaps once year, and then the words will not show up and the tongue feels so unflexible, though one understands quite well. It is then normal to be shy. I saw your video for the first time! All the best from Sweden!

4-year olds definitely are not walking outside unsupervised. 6-7 year-olds yes (to and from school, friends, etc), maybe our children just look younger...

Perhaps they are older.. but I live in a small town so that might not be the case in bigger towns.

Hhah. in Finland everyone puts their children to sleep outside! Even the health authorities encourage it, even in winter when it's -20c. Fresh, CLEAN outdoor air calms the child. When going to small shops, the cart and the child are left outside to sleep. In city buses, you can travel with a child and a stroller for free! And believe me, there are just the right spaces for baby strollers. In Finland, you have to really WORK to get all these benefits.
