Dubawi Gold 5l second to an exhausted Frankle was rated 117. Frankle really ran against donkeys his whole career.That puts Frankle 2000G run at 127. Lear Fan was rated 126, which I think he ran to , Chief Singer , didn't finish tired here, he just wasn't fast enough, I think he ran 134+ and El Gran Senor ran to 140+. I think CS and ELS were under rated over a mile here. It was a great race. Lear Fan and Rainbow Quest really elevate this race. The way the front two ran so relaxed and pulled well clear in the last 200yds , awesome.
This is probably the Greatest 2000 Guineas ever, apart from Brigadier Gerard, Mill Reef , my swallow Guineas. The Distance El Gran Senor beat Rainbow Quest by suggest that even Frankel would not have even got close to beating these front two. I even think Dancing Brave beat a good one in Green Desert, who was far superior to the horse Frankel best in his Guineas. I'm not sure Dancing Brave would have even beaten El Gran Senor that day. It's wonderful to imagine all these great horses running in the Guineas on their best form. But this Guineas is the Benchmark for me.
This Horse has Nothing to prove...He was Lazy..But BrilliantAcceleration..Quickened twice to Defeat Chief Singer.. Imagine he was born 2 years later and had to face Dancing Brave.. What a showdown that would have been..
I love Dancing Brave, but over a mile only Brigadier Gerard might be better in Europe and Dr Fager was definitely better from America. If Frankel ran in this he would have been caught inside the last 100m and looked like a donkey. Not because he is not a great horse but because his 2000 Guineas tactics would have left him looking one paced.
There were some stunning milers from the 80s.. El Gran Senor, Dancing Brave, Chief Singer, Zafonic, and the one people forget about, Zilzal.. Who should have ran in Nashwans Guineas.. Zilzal is on a par with anything over a mile.

If he’d gone Guineas, St James, Eclipse, Juddmonte and Champion at 3 and stepped up to 12f at 4 I just think he would have been undefeated and been considered a true great. People do underrate that Derby Secreto was possibly much better than people realise. He’d run a very close 3rd to Sadlers Wells before the Derby which was good form.

Peak Dr Fager is the best miler. On a line of from with Sir Ivor, he is 16lbs better on grass. On dirt maybe 23lbs better. El Gran Senor is great, but not that great. Peak Dr Fager is a peak Frankel beater.

Don't think he would have. But we will never know. Both in my opinion were better than Frankel.
If this horse had been kept to 8-10f we would have been talking about him the same way we now talk about Frankel.
