John Moody Thanks. I wasn’t to happy to see the twin beds and was wondering if they had a queen or at least a full size. Other than that, it wasn’t too bad.
I bought one of these and noticed that the grab handles for the windows seem to be backwards! It's hard to slip big fingers in behind them in order to open the windows, because they bend towards the screen... flipping them around would've been perfect, but that's not the case...
17k jajajaj. I am building a 7x16 cargo trailer conversion. I will be at about $6200 when I am completely finished. All steel framing, aluminum skins and aluminum roofing. Will last way longer than most RVs will.
I've always been told it was best to have both gray and black tanks use the the same lines. That way you can flush your black water first and clean it out with the gray. Seems more efficient. Less valves. Am I wrong?
Exactly what I was thinking. How to rinse the separate black tank line might be problematic. That could actually be a deal-breaker if there's not an easy solution.
I just don't get the tiny sink in the bathroom..if I'm going to have a wet bath I'd rather have room to shower then a tiny sink taking up so much room. Otherwise very nice!
I HATE IT when they just tell you about something without opened things up to show you. I want to get an idea of how deep the drawers are or dimentions of where to put things, o.k.?
All that 19ft and you get a tiny round kitchen sink. Can't wash much in there. Check out the 171RBXL 2020 AWESOME design. So spacious double sink with large bathroom & closet with MURPHY BED. Love et.
That slide out really opens up the room. Good use of lighter colors on interior to keep it more open. Like the outdoor grill and the fancy convection/microwave. Is there room for a generator? Most likely would have to carry one.
Missed opportunities on the windows. They are way too small and could use one between the beds. A skylight would be nice also. Is there storage under the bed? Too many seems in the bathroom. I do like the fact that I could turn one of those beds into a couch.
Is this model steel sold in 2022? And if yes what's the price? What could be the price for a pre-owned one in a good shape for a 6 months roadtrip? Does a Ford explorer can tow this?
1000 watt inverter will run quite a few appliances and an LCD TV easily for hours with the 100 watt panel. but only at low wattage maybe 300 watts max, 1000 watts you would need to add batteries and panels to pull that continuously.
First, I like the layout, but could do without a slideout. And your comment about boondocking with the 12-volt power is flat wrong. A three-way refrigerator is always a "gas absorption" type, meaning there has to be heat applied to the ammonia chamber to start the refrigeration cycle. To completely cool the interior, you need to first use 110 AC or Propane. 12 volt cannot provide enough heat. 12 volt is best used when you are refilling your propane tanks or have to shut them off in certain areas. It will keep it cool then. However 12-volt CAN be used for boondocking IF you have a compressor-driven, electric-only refrigerator. I'd suggest a 2000 watt inverter, a lithium battery, and at least 200 watts of solar to run everything while "off grid" for an extended period.
1 tip: WIND SCREEN for the mic. Maybe 2 tips: Don't use the word "basically." The beds aren't "basically" 30 inches wide, they're 30 inches wide, or approximately 30 inches wide.
Is it true that the fresh water tank are mounted in the back? I was over the moon about these things until I realized this. Design flaw if so. ... If this is the case is it true for all models? Which one has the most storage? The only thing lacking IMO
Be nice if there was a middle piece to make it into 1 big bed. Then we'd be able to fit a few grandbabies in there. Then wife and I would take the bunks
You showed the storage twice what's the big deal with that storage ? There are more important things you should show that storage is in all trailers so what is the big deal ?
i wonder if one of the corner beds can be removed & a dresser put in there for more storage? just a thought if two people are camping/living in the pod. or perhaps a dresser/hanging clothes closet side by side combo.
Could you please let me know the cost and how much downpayment do you need to qualify and can you tell me if there's a TV and do you deliver and have used cheaper same floor plan thank you
@@allaboutrv Do you think that the sink could be easily removed (ie..unbolted), by the dealer or the owner ? Or is it part of the shower wall, and the wall needs to be changed out ?
@@allaboutrv I had to do the conversion from from kilograms from the sticker he showed. Why not say the dry weight info at the beginning of the presentation???
Ray, great video. You said when the slide is closed you have walking access to the bed. How about the bathroom can use it in a pinch too if the slide is closed? Thank you again Merry Christmas!!!
Couldn’t agree more. Just delete the stupid sink in the bathroom if you’re in a camper this small you can easily do what you need to do at the kitchen sink.
Tow capacity is about 1100 lbs max on a 2012 CRV. I hope your joking right? Dry weight on this r pod is 2800 lbs and loaded up your pushing 3800 lbs. You would need at the very least a mid size truck (body on frame) with a tow capacity of 6000K lbs or higher. You CRV might pull a small trailer with two motorcycles. And that would max it out.
Awesome as always you could do these in your sleep and maybe you do lol, does forest river do any custom work like if you ordered one of these with lets say only one of the 2 beds and the other side a computer desk something like that - is it possible ? Thanks david
Hi David. R-Pod doesn't do any custom work. They are pretty much stuck on keeping to their floorplans. It could probably be done fairly easy aftermarket. In looking at the beds they seem to be just screwed in.
Hi Jeff. The factory never gives a life span on the campers. The R-pod have been around 10 and a half years now and and many of their first campers are still on the road today. The life of a camper really depends on how well its take care of.
The R-pod campers have a Aluminum framed floor, Side Wall, and Roof. They have some wood in the curved part of the body and in the the cabinet/furniture construction.
Pro tip, show the inside first. people care about the inside, if they don't like the floor plan, they don't care about the outside.
Agreed. You tell'em, Jim Bo.
These models have more than one floorplan. Just use the scroll bar and move past it to what you want to see.

It looks has MOLD growing under the sink in the washroom right in the corner !
That sink in the bathroom is such a waste of space. If a bathroom sink is absolutely necessary, they should put a fold down sink in there.
They can be ordered without the sink in the bathroom if a customer does not want that.
