Rammstein has made my journey in learning German so fun. This is easily one of my favorite songs by them and I didn’t want it to end it was just so good
I was literally speechless after my first listen and viewing of Zeit. Masterpiece doesn't seem an adequate description to me, but I don't know how to describe it. Stunningly, hauntingly beautiful for both song and video. Till's lyrics are phenomenal, his voice haunting and emotional but at the right level of emotion. The music was just outstanding from all of the guys. The attention to detail and the acting in the video just brilliant, stunning and every other superlative I can think of. For presentation, Rammstein leave everyone else in the starting blocks. Time is the one thing that we can say we have but we never have enough to satisfy us. I'm usually a stoic person but while I was speechless, I sobbed like a child at this. This is one of the reasons why I've always loved Rammstein. They draw out every emotion from you as a fan and it seems to me that they're only getting better at what they do. Loved your reaction, I think you speak for so many of us.
The lyrics are not from Till. Richard Z. Kruspe wrote this lyrics. The are really wonderful for every german speaking listener. Powerful and poetic in one ... as so many songs from Rammstein. In the early years the members of Rammstein listened onl to some few rocksongs from the west (the grew up in eastern germany). Later, when the wall was teared down, theyask herself what kind of music the will make ... how they should sound. They visit the USA and listen the the rockszene in the states. The where reall impressed, but back home the decided not to to an stuff like that, cause it will be not their own. But what they have learned in the US ist how to impress and how important a good liveshow is.

One thing I often heard in school and also later on by Germans and Austrians was the quote: German is the language of poets. And to be honest, when watching and listening to some German lyrics or even cabaret and as older I get, the more I understand what they mean by that quote. Rammstein, Einstürzende Neubauten, Das Ich, In Extremo, Omph! - a few bands what come to my mind when thinking about meaningful lyrics and poetry in the genre of Neue Deutsche Härte.
I'm not sure but I think I heard they didn't use CGI for the sand moments, so band members getting slapped by the sand at 4:00 is completely real, lol. When the first notes hit, the general reaction is, "huh? This is different" followed by "I got chills". Tills voice is just insanely powerful, no matter what. And while i am not too much a fan of the rather graphical stuffing a baby back where it came from, it wouldn't be Rammstein if it wasn't there and the whole video is just above anything, the band in the sand, and it's flowing backwards just looked insane.

Music, lyrics and video complement each other again as almost always to a complete work of art. The lyrics talk about not being able to stop time and the video shows the band members trying until the end, unfortunately in vain. We all sit when our time has come in one and the same boat, no matter whether friend or foe like or in a war. In the very last second of the video, by the way, we hear the first breath of a newborn human being.

Time is relentless, Time never stops, Time wont come back. Everybody has those perfect moments you dont want to end. I was typing this reaction and then you made the comment "i don't want this to end" and its a perfect summary of the song even though you don't fully understand the lyrics but the message was understood.
Klavier was always my favorite song but i think that has changed. Every time i hear it i can get so different and deep emotions depending on my initial mood.

I'd just like to say thank you for not acting surprised, disturbed, or in any way reacting to the birthing scenes. Childbirth is magical, but every time someone raises an eye over how graphic it is or say "I wasn't ready for that" I feel like it continues the stigma of childbirth being gross and should be hidden, as if it wasn't both the most human thing we experience in whatever way we experience it and the most superhuman thing we experience.

As usual, I adore how much there is to react to in their videos. On this viewing (x of 100000), I think I most-appreciated how "ambiguously" they portray the Time/ Death figures. A lesser band would badass/evil them up but here, they are still, implacable, inevitable, weirdly comforting (that "arm" over the girl!!) but vastly neutral. I really like Rammstein and just saw and heard Zeit now for the first time. It gave me goosebumps and I don't know if it was in a positive or negative way. Unfortunately you do not understand German, because the lyrics are some sort of poetry (as many Rammstein songs are, thank you Till Lindemann!). It addresses the limited time (in German: "Zeit") we are given in our lives and that there was and will be time before and after ours. That topic really got me and leaves me thoughtful. It really is a masterpiece.
I liked the Rammstein albums better, which don't have such a long gap. I think when an album was 10 years ago, they want to do it particularly well and get caught up in details. Since the last album is only 2 years ago, my expectations of "Time" are that it arises from a flow. I think the new songs feel more natural and are more songs. We already had something like this with Rosenrot and "Reise, Reise". There was only 1 year between those two albums.
Saw them live this year in denmark, and had the luck that they played this song! As he likes to do, Till changed one line, which was _ein Jeder kennt, den perfekten Moment (everyone knows the perfect moment)_ into _ihr alle kennt, den perfekten Moment (you all know the perfect moment)._
And all this without the lyrics... Including the lyrics really makes you cry. They are a masterpiece of their own; one of the most beautiful poems I have ever read. I've seen Rammstein 10 times now and they NEVER fail to put on a world beating live show both musically and visually ... they have set the bar so high now I don't think ANY band on the planet will top them ... their last three promo videos are beyond belief and are as brilliant as anything Hollywood has ever produced ... prove me wrong.

I'd just like to say thank you for not acting surprised, disturbed, or in any way reacting to the birthing scenes. As usual, I adore how much there is to react to in their videos. On this viewing (x of 100000), I think I most-appreciated how "ambiguously" they portray the Time/ Death figures. A lesser band would badass/evil them up but here, they are still, implacable, inevitable, weirdly comforting (that "arm" over the girl!!) but vastly neutral. I love that SO much 🖤

I really like Rammstein and just saw and heard Zeit now for the first time. It gave me goosebumps and I don't know if it was in a positive or negative way. Unfortunately you do not understand German, because the lyrics are some sort of poetry (as many Rammstein songs are, thank you Till Lindemann!). It addresses the limited time (in German: "Zeit") we are given in our lives and that there was and will be time before and after ours. That topic really got me and leaves me thoughtful. It really is a masterpiece.

I liked the Rammstein albums better, which don't have such a long gap. I think when an album was 10 years ago, they want to do it particularly well and get caught up in details. Since the last album is only 2 years ago, my expectations of "Time" are that it arises from a flow. I think the new songs feel more natural and are more songs. We already had something like this with Rosenrot and "Reise, Reise". There was only 1 year between those two albums.

Saw them live in Prague on monday. It was my first concert ever and nothing is going to ever compare to that experience.

Wow, this is a wonderful reaction to a band, who is the best German export ever. I am a German and the band gives the message, that time (Zeit) is running ever. We have to keep the moments and remember the good. But the time doesn't stand still. Sometimes we want that we can turn back time (me too, to quit the war in Ukraine and stop beginning Covid-19). ... I've seen Rammstein 10 times now and they NEVER fail to put on a world beating live show both musically and visually ... they have set the bar so high now I don't think ANY band on the planet will top them ... their last three promo videos are beyond belief and are as brilliant as anything Hollywood has ever produced ... prove me wrong.
