Back when I was 43y (now 60y) and bodybuilding I would use the 150's for 6 reps just 1set 3 times per week. probably weighed 180lbs then so I can fully appreciate what Brandon just did at 160lbs..awesome stuff Brandon! The hardest part for me was actually lifting them off the floor and on to the knees as you sit down but you made that look easy! Also in my gym you wern't allowed to drop the weights so when you finished your reps, back on the legs, stand up and stagger over to the rack to replace them! Good job man!
Cocky arrogant mofos will never have a body like his. Why? They'll egolift like hell and end up with tendonitis and or broken tendons long before ever looking good, ending their lifting career.
+Chris M You can do different things with a 250lb dumbell like rows and shrugs, don't get me wrong it's still heavy as shit for those exercises though haha
Gotta love the hesitation before leaning back haha. Whenever you're about to max out you can't help but think, "Am I going to snap my arms?". Pretty sick though
Could you tell us what routine use used or your training philosophies that you employ to achieve these that body it will be much appreciated many thanks.
Dumbells are way harder than bar as you need the use of strong stabilising muscles, so normally you can lift about 15-20% less in flat Db than flat bar, this lift is very impressive, also more so when looking at the bodyweight
*Respect*. That shit ain't easy, man. I was nodding during the time he took to pace himself... That's what I do before regular bench pressing. You can never rush it, because the weights will always win.
I thought I was a bad ass because weighing 150lb did a 300lb bench press. This is pretty damned impressive. Its harder with dumbbells than a straight bar!
***** I benchpress 120kg(264.5lbs) 6 times and with dumbbells I take 40kg(88lbs) each side doing it 6-8 times This video is sick, I hope I get to do this eventually but they don't have this kind of weight at my gym :(
zivanni Interesting. That is impressive. I never actually tried my max on dumbbells. Once they each start weighing almost as much as me it is very awkward and risky moving them to the press position. Got hurt lifting a few years back throwing around too much weight now super careful. Regardless I still think that lift is pretty impressive but honestly wonder if it is all natural.
Vegan M yes it is risky. the first attempt the dumbbells almost fell on my face. once I got it up I was surprised I could even lift it because it was more weight than I bench. Yesterday I tried it again but I never managed to lift the same dumbells. I was very tired
That's pretty impressive. Shit kicked your ass but you got a few in and I think it was probably worth it. You maintained good form as well which is very important. Props for not being one of those idiots doing more than you can actually do.
Dude is a boss. He literally put those up with no help. He got so what?! after 100 or so its just explained heavy as shit. I put up 110's for 2 by myself. But this... I aspire for it!
I do 4 sets of 110lb/50kg dumbbells in each hand x 4 reps or 4 sets of 45kg dumbbells in each hand x 8 reps. I do a wrist turn/twist inwards at the top of each rep. I actually find different types of push ups more beneficial and do both. 49 years of age. Trying hard to age with ease & grace....
My buddy hits the 125's at a weight of 135. I'm seriously gonna have to post this kid lifting one day. It's unreal to me because he actually looks 135 lol. This guy says he's 160, but unless he's 5'3, he's gotta be at least 170. But hey, idk. And this guy killed it man. Respect!
S1KrrHawaii Generally you want to think about dumbbell pressing like barbell pressing in that the first rep should start at the top not the bottom so a lot of people use a spotter to get the dumbbells up first when using heavy dumbbells and then they’re able to set their lats and that’s when the reps really start (on the way down) just like in a normal bench press
The worst part is psyching your self, with hesitations and doubts running through your mind .Secondly is actually holding the weight in hour hands and telling your muscle fibers to lift the weight up. Tough business training like he does
This is crazy. I use 60s highest I've ever gone is 75s. I weigh 190 and I plan to get my bench to at least 240 by next February. Right now it's at 215 last time I maxed out.
+R8er1980 I weigh 150 lbs and I am at 70 lbs dumbbells. Idk how this guy is doing it at this weight without wrist straps. Maybe my joints are just weaker lol.
Ricardo Hernández dude I am 5.11 don't look half af buffed as him altho i am ripped as fuck, train for over 14 years and weigh 185 pounds, this dude doesn't weigh les then 170of 175, never in a million years
Like a fucking boss! Love the build-up to lifting it man, made my adrenaline pump, about the same way I go at it when I am about to lift big. Good job dude!
That is insane! Good job. If he is doing 150 dumbbells, he should be able to bench way over 300 pounds with barbell bench press. It is crazy how some people can lift double their weight.
NICE!! All that he can be! I love that attitude. I was growing fat last summer and decided I should try it as well. It's insanely hard work to get a fit body like his.
After watching this. Tell me strength don't lead to size. Of course. You will always have the haters that have an explanation for everything. I've heard all kinds of excuses. Get into the gym and lift heavy in a 4-6 rep range and get stronger week after week and eat for mass. Then tell me you still need marathon sets to grow. I only do 5-6 work sets per bodypart and gain weight week after week.
You know you're lifting some seriously heavy weight when you have to say a prayer before each set.
And the best part no showboating attitude, seem humble for all that weight great job bro
Back when I was 43y (now 60y) and bodybuilding I would use the 150's for 6 reps just 1set 3 times per week. probably weighed 180lbs then so I can fully appreciate what Brandon just did at 160lbs..awesome stuff Brandon! Also in my gym you wern't allowed to drop the weights so when you finished your reps, back on the legs, stand up and stagger over to the rack to replace them! Good job man!
I like how he gives off a confident personality. Not a cocky one like some bodybuilders.
Cocky arrogant mofos will never have a body like his. Why? They'll egolift like hell and end up with tendonitis and or broken tendons long before ever looking good, ending their lifting career.
Why the fuck does that gym have 250 lb dumbells 3:40 ? Does Jesus himself train there?
+Chris M
You can do different things with a 250lb dumbell like rows and shrugs, don't get me wrong it's still heavy as shit for those exercises though haha
they are here for ronnie coleman
+Hank Schrader light weight ...baby (:
half ass shrugs
hahahahh
I weigh 154 pounds and I will remember not to piss this guy off.
"feels awfully heavy." damn dude.
Weighing only 160lbs that was truly awesome lifting! He's as strong as he looks!
Wow, what a monster. But if he did that weight drop in planet fitness, he would have sounded the lunk alarm.
TheWise One ok, ima sound like a dipshit but what is the lunk alarm?
Wow, I've been hitting the 75 lb dumbells at the gym and feeling like a bad ass. Can't imagine lifting this though lol
Me too.
Gotta love the hesitation before leaning back haha. Whenever you're about to max out you can't help but think, "Am I going to snap my arms?". Pretty sick though
+Captain Murica That's a lot of weight to sling back on your own, not to mention balancing on that little bench with the 300.
+John Stafford Oh for sure. I even hesitate before putting up 75 lb. dumbbells just because it's so awkward to lean back with them haha
Yeah I know exactly what you mean. I'm only doing the 65's at the moment, and it's super awkward and scary lol. Any tips?
Stuart Black I only feel fear when I work out with out pre. I start doubting my self lol. With pre I give no fucks.
Thanks for the compliments guys! I know this is an older video so if anyone would like to see more just let me know!
I'm pressing the 170's now joe!!
One of my many blessings buddy!
Could you tell us what routine use used or your training philosophies that you employ to achieve these that body it will be much appreciated many thanks.
170s are fucking jnsane dude that's a 405 bench equivalent. My lifetime goal is pressing 170s for reps.
You sir are an inspiration to me
The MOST INCREDIBLE THING I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!
if he only weighs 160 pounds he must only be five feet tall
I managed 123’s for 5 reps recently. I don’t think I’ll ever want to go higher than that. This dude is a fucking tank.
Dumbells are way harder than bar as you need the use of strong stabilising muscles, so normally you can lift about 15-20% less in flat Db than flat bar, this lift is very impressive, also more so when looking at the bodyweight
This lift is impressive period!
The man. I have to psyche myself up with music to get in the mindset of pushing a heavy press, this guy is pure focus.
*Respect*. That shit ain't easy, man. I was nodding during the time he took to pace himself... That's what I do before regular bench pressing. You can never rush it, because the weights will always win.
I know. Very cool to see him honestly respect the weight.
Impressive strength and great mass and vascularity in the posing at the end.
You actually see stars when you go that heavy. I'm not kidding. it's like small bubbles floating around. I see that sometimes when i squat heavy.
Dude is pretty jacked.
Finally someone who tries to put up some decent weight ... Keep it up
ok master? what you putting 220 up per bell, lol. bet you aint even on 50s
+Paul Tennis LOL
I thought I was a bad ass because weighing 150lb did a 300lb bench press. This is pretty damned impressive. Its harder with dumbbells than a straight bar!
***** I benchpress 120kg(264.5lbs) 6 times and with dumbbells I take 40kg(88lbs) each side doing it 6-8 times

***** yo bro no offense but if you can get 220 for 5 on bench you should be able to get atleast 85's unless you're not touching your chest for bench
***** Didn't even knew they had weight going lower than 90's
Was gonna hate on ya, Until I saw the full range of motion, respect earned bro
Damn good job bodybuilder! Way to face those Giants. You hulk smashed.
He weighs 160lbs? Nigga please! He looks like he weighs over 200 lbs of pure muscle!!!!!
*people/person, not the n word or say dude. Remember that for next time.
That's pretty impressive. Shit kicked your ass but you got a few in and I think it was probably worth it. You maintained good form as well which is very important. Props for not being one of those idiots doing more than you can actually do.
so fucken true haha
If you're wondering why he's SO proportional, he's only 5'5.
That is a really good physique, well proportioned and aesthetic. Good on you mate keep at it!
I'm 190 and do the same with 105 dumbbells. This is bad ass
Impressive, a guy who almost lifted his own bodyweight for 3 reps on the dumbbell press exercice, that guy is proportionally a monster :)
He doesn't weigh anything near 300lbs.
Says he weighs 160. He's probably short.
JoeCnNd No chance in hell he weighs 160
***** *2x
He's not 300lbs you Jack wagon, that's almost twice his bodyweight, with dumbbells no less. This kid's a beast.
Dude is a boss. He literally put those up with no help. He got so what?! after 100 or so its just explained heavy as shit. I put up 110's for 2 by myself. But this... I aspire for it!
wow he is insanely strong, both total dumbbells nearly weights 2x his weight o.O
AWESOME WORKOUT VIDEO THANKS.
Haha sure!!!!!!
That's practically his bodyweight in each hand . Monster strength .
Love this video so much. Gave everything. Everything
WOW! Brandon you are so strong and so perfect! DAMN!
"ITs awful heavy" lol yeah I give this dude props 150 is quite a feat
He looks like jacked version of jack black.
Jacked black lol
@@dalewilson5613 beat me to it lol
That's extremely hard. Good job dude.
Respect!
LOL " it feels awful heavy" holy fuck 68Kgs Dumbells ??
Thats mental , well in mate !
Im at 65lb dumb bell chest press. Great motivation for me
His jeans gave him the power
That takes guts. Knowing that you may be seconds away from a serious injury and still putting mind over matter.
Nice job man,,,,,hell of a set,,,,and lookin damn good! Good luck in the future...
He weighs only 160? Un-freaking-believable!! He's as strong as he looks.
FACT: People who gave thumbs down for this video can´t press a 10lb dumbell...
Lmao nice one
FACT: Thats not a fact.
michel fjäll it actually is.
I'm just questioning why he's working out in jeans by choice 🤔
BertGH ikr! Mabye because there is no one in the gym
congrats! That is really impressive. Especially with no spotter.
Lol who uses a spotter for flat Dumbbell press?
a lot of people do.
S1KrrHawaii Lots of people do for forced reps.
Good push on every rep, keep up the good work
Clearly this kid eats a lot of beef.
Wow, this guy is absolute buff, he is so very very big I love it my god he is big and strong
The worst part is psyching your self, with hesitations and doubts running through your mind .Secondly is actually holding the weight in hour hands and telling your muscle fibers to lift the weight up. Tough business training like he does
PROPS !!!!!!!!!!!!!.. much props on a great power lift !!
I think he did a really good job. Keep up the good work.
it is what it is.. he is incredibly strong.
I never had any idea how strong I am until I seen this. Not bad if this guy weights 150 roughly.
369Shahin Right now I weigh 154lbs and I'm pressing the hundreds for reps
Brandon is so big, wow very impressive how absolutely huge his chest is, His whole body is huge
if this dude himself only weighs 160 pounds I will eat my socks
*****
even then, even if he was a dwarf he would still not weigh 160 or less no freakin way
Ricardo Hernández
dude I am 5.11 don't look half af buffed as him altho i am ripped as fuck, train for over 14 years and weigh 185 pounds, this dude doesn't weigh les then 170of 175, never in a million years
bon appetite
I guess muscle weighs more then fat?
michael petras true, thats the reason why I believe this dude aint even close to weighing 160.
not sure why there are so many dislikes, this guy repped almost his own weight in each hand...
respect ive been bodybuilding for 2.5 years now at 5'6 155 pounds and i can only get the 110 pounders for 6 reps
That's good work bro,
Bodyweight to the dumbbell weight....The Ratio....I'd say is very impressive regardless of giants out there who rock this, he did well.
Beast good form boi got that raw strength
Jesus H. With dumbbells?? And three super clean lifts, too. Hats off. If I even tried - and I would never try - I'd break both arms, then my face.
this guy is very mentally strong.
Most impressive. Well done.
Like a fucking boss! Love the build-up to lifting it man, made my adrenaline pump, about the same way I go at it when I am about to lift big. Good job dude!
great job man keep it up
That's gonna hurt when 55 rolls around..
whelp you need to live your life before it ends
All things are relative in life: strength, love, truth, but 150 pounds IS A FUCKING 150 POUNDS.
TheElMuffin It depends if you are on sea level or not.
WTF!? He is pressing himself IN EACH HAND haha! This guy's truely strong.
That is insane! Good job. If he is doing 150 dumbbells, he should be able to bench way over 300 pounds with barbell bench press. It is crazy how some people can lift double their weight.

That fellow is ripped
Did i just see 250lb dumbbells on that rack
I can max 50 or 60 with chest press. This is just downright insane weight. Props to this guy!
wow his body is equal impessive as the act of lifting his twice bodyweight in dumbells. respect!
It's amazing how strong you can get
That is fucking awesome!
this dude is thick and ripped. only 160lbs. incredible.
Look at that chest that is amazing
holy fuck! I only lift 80 lbs dumbbells... Great lift dude
Very good Brandon
Strong guy!
I love how he casually bends over and picks up 300 lbs off the ground like I pick up a 35 lb or 40 lb dumbbell.
dumbbells don't lie
He's got a fuckin solid physique
Impressive. Beyond belief...Great physique..
good job man
Damn. Good stuff! I'm 170 and barely rep 120 dumbells. Can't imagine anything near that weight
The Dude is 5'5 for everybody asking how he can only weigh 160
Damn. This Is One Thick Shredded Beast At Only 160lbs. Incredible.
Great chest sir
Insane strength.
It is a harder with dumbbells because you gots to balance them too.
