In our rohe(Moerewa) The Ngati Hine storyline is her name was Rewarewa and she was migrating north with Nukutawhiti and she fell asleep on top of the ridgeline that over looks Moerewa somewhere between the turntable and Taumarere the area is known as Okororo. Hence the name Moerewarewa(The resting/sleeping place of Rewarewa)

Be very careful to weigh up what you hear with the facts that have been brought to light. This lot know how to talk, facts often Don't get in the way.

Ngapuhi needs to change the date for discovery. The bro here has Nukutawhiti arriving at 900 AD therefore Kupe wouldve arrived at least 200 years before

This is recent history. Your primordial origins was Papua New Guinea and before that Malaysia.
The Lapita people migrated from Papua. a few thousand years ago. They were followed by Papua people who inter bred with them. That’s why there’s a mixture of Asian and Afro hair with pacific peoples.
Bora Bora people wiped out the people of neighboring islands. Brutal times.
