    Legend wrote it. Offered it to Carrie….she said come with…..history made! Perfection.

    John wrote the song and sent it to her and she asked if he wanted to sing it with her.

    The video is sick... and, outro is by far the best part. Carries voice has that resonance that stabs your heart. By far the best new Xmas song.

    Music in general and obviously this song brings out our humanity and emotions that we often would rather hide... honest reactions can't be hidden no matter how we try to cover it or spin it. It's ok to let the music get to you and to share that experience with others. I'm glad they shared their emotions with us.

    For all the people that suggests that John Legend was the sole writer of this song you are incorrect. John Legend co-wrote the song with Toby Gad.

    Loved your reaction Video🥰😊 The song is featured on Underwood's first Christmas album "My Gift" 😊 Hallelujah is sent to Adult Contemporary radio as well.. Lets hope it does well commercially😊

    Take a look at her live performance of How Great Thou Art... it will change your life! I recommend... well.. all of her music 😂. Definitely check more Carrie out, she is easily one of the best singers out there and even people that arent a fan of country music tend to love her. Her cover of Oh Holy Night that she performed on the Iheartradio christmas special (on youtube) is INSANE. Some other especially impressive vocal songs of hers... Cry Pretty, Blown Away, I Know You Wont, Keep Us Safe, Low. A few fun performances: her Paradise City cover, Choctaw County Affair at CMA Fest. The list could go on and on! Nice reaction video 👍

      I’ve heard the Oh Holy Night over and it really took me somewhere. Incredible cover of the song.

    Spinning Bottles by Carrie Underwood on her Cry Pretty album was a beautiful song and the recording on her album is actually the demo because she wanted all the emotion to be captured from the writing session. Low is about her 3 miscarriages as she says “baby” three times in the song. Check out her performance of How Great Thou Art with Vince Gill and I Will Always Love You from the Storyteller Tour (she sung Dolly’s version).

      I was unaware of the miscarriages. That must be incredibly difficult but I’m glad that she has music as an outlet. I will definitely make sure to listen to spinning bottles. Thank you for the recommendation.

    John Legend wrote the song. He shared it with Carrie. I don't think he outsang her at all on this track, though. She can obviously go much higher than him too being that she's a soprano and he's a baritone.

    • @Dragon_Ball_Fan_Podcast
      @Dragon_Ball_Fan_Podcast  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very true. When reflecting back through a few re-listens, i must say, she had some very impress runs as well. Very balanced track. I think it’s just easy to get lost in the range and texture to Legend’s voice

    • @brianmelnick1117
      @brianmelnick1117 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Dragon_Ball_Fan_Podcast Yeah, she held back a lot on this album in terms of the kind of power and range that her most dedicated fans have come to expect from her. It's definitely her most vocally understated album yet. There are specific moments scattered throughout the album where she really tricks us out, making us think she's about to bust open the dam and unleash, but she'd instead rein it back in. She did showcase a richness and depth to her lower register that none of us ever heard before, though.

    You missed the point of the video if you thought it was cheesy, and Carrie, missed the mark on her as well.. study her, learn about her music, she very rarely sings in low tones, this video is stunning

      I think that the message was there and a good one to convey. I just felt that the visual storytelling could have been better to ensure it reaches more people. I completely agree that I need to learn a bit more about Carrie and his discography. I actually asked a fan in the comments for some good song suggestions.
