Fil of Wings Of Pegasus did an analysis of Carrie's O Holy Night . The video is on her channel and was part of a concert of Australia's Woolworth Carols of the Domain. I might be getting some of the name wrong here. Fil used this video as an example of how post-production use of pitch correction destroyed the very qualities we love in Carrie's voice and expression. So, long story short, avoid that video.
I got the feeling of Handel's Hallelujah in Carrie's finale.

Omg Ms Jess! Ty Ty Ty for posting this! You literally made my day! This song has quickly become my favorite Christmas song. As I previously stated, your analysis’ have opened my eyes (& ears) to things I would have NEVER known or understood about singing before. It’s like drawing a curtain back & discovering a whole new beautiful world you never knew existed but was there all the time.
Also, I love how when you speak your thoughts flow seamlessly from one to the next & aren’t complicated, but delivered in a manner that a layperson can understand.
As a lifelong lover of music (I’m 60) & singer for my pleasure only because it brings me joy, you have given me a gift. One I so appreciate & delight in having discovered. So Ty again for doing what you do & I look forward to many more of your posts.

I'd love to watch you analyse "Tuy am" by O Sen from The Masked Singer.
I totally agree with you about the use of the “ooh”. An extended “I” could have been a better start removing the need for the “Ooh”.
I did feel that the dynamic from the beginning (in Carrie Underwood’s voice) was too “forte” for me. It gave little room for dynamic growth and expression from the singers to my ears; the only place to go upwards would e heavy belting!
I also feel that John stopped singing too soon at their first harmony, which seemed like a lack of intentionality. It removed just a bit from the experience. If they went all the way together it would be a little more special.
Of course he’s playing the keys so he’s doing two things at a time.
