I remember replacing a master switch on an X3, that wasn’t easy for some reason, don’t remember what was exactly but general impression that it was tough. So that was holding me up from replacing a switch on a E93. It looks effortlessly easy according to this video. Going to try it tomorrow Thanks!
Just in case anyone is watching this in 2020, this was really easy to do I’ll list what I did. My car- 2009 318d e90 RHD. Symptoms- Driver side switch cluster wasn’t working. Diagnostics: Checked fuses F66, F78, F79, F70 in glovebox fusebox. No blown fuses. Removed side trim panel as described in video, didn’t bother disconnecting battery just made sure the key was out of ignition. Unplugged switch and saw corrosion on contacts, used alcohol wipes to remove and reseated. Tested by putting key in ignition and is now working. Hope this helps someone in the future.
my driver's window button broke off so I ordered a whole new module plugged it in switched it and I have no sign of life in the new one but now I have window codes every 10 seconds on my dash should I do the window reset thing however I put my old one back in and it works like it did before but my new one will not do anyting except cause me window codes on my dash
Hello, for me only one button is out of place and i cant get it back in can i somehow change only one button or i should replace the unit all together ?

Hi, my passenger mirror does not dip on my e63, i when in reverse nor can it be done manually, it started working again on its own for about 6 months then stopped again, I reckon its the switch what do you think? Many thanks for any help
Hi great video, my passenger mirror does not dip anymore, the glass does tilt in and outwards but not dip downwards, is it the switch? Or the mirror? After 6 months of not working it started working perfectly again when in reverse and could be adjusted with the switch on the drivers door, now its stopped again, so I am hoping it's the switch, though I still have full movement of the wing mirror glass on the drivers side, it just has now stopped on my passenger side, many thanks for any thoughts, great videos by the way very helpful

This thing is a nightmare to open, you managed to open it in a few seconds but I was afraid of breaking the plastic which did get damaged, thanks for the help.
i've bought a chinese replacement and although the keys light up, none of the buttons work literally. is this really just plug and play or might i have bought a faulty replacement?
PLEASE HELP ! did All the steps. Once I connected the window power switch back in. The lights came orange but buttons stopped working. I have no function on the buttons nor the green light button

I replaced black master switch wirh beige as I changed entire interior to beige and now it does not work. Not the new one and not the old one either. With key I can still howower get glass down. Any idea what could cause it?

Dude there’s a switch that changes it from driver’s side to passenger side. Left for driver’s side and right for passenger side. Yes I’m a GIRL.

Yes. Aparently new chinedse had water damage. I dont know why old one did not work but after changing it dosen times it started magicly working again.
