what an amazing set up, well done! I have just bought an avon 3.15 rib boat with a mercury 3.5 (fourstroke). I have been fishing from coast for 20 years. Now finally, my adventures will begin :)
They are called d rings they are kayak fixings. Search eBay they will come up. They are bonded on with two part plastic adhesive we use for fixing car bumpers
@@carperblue excellent. Will get some of those. Now my tip to you for attaching the anchor. 2 X D ring patches stuck to the tubes at the side. 1 stuck on behind the grab handle at the front. 6 metre length of 8mm rope with a caribiner attached at each end. Clip these to the side D rings. Run the rope from both sides through the front D ring. Attach another caribiner to the 2 lengths. From that you can attach the anchor rope to the caribiner.
Good choice, I had the 330 with a 15hp engine. Think about how to run your anchor warp in the centre of the bow, I made a guide that fitted on the tube to keep the rope in place. Enjoy it. Phil
Not sure what you mean Phil, I made a rope from the eye to the rear of yak. The anchor runs on that line. I basically clip it to the rope on the bow so it’s doubled. Back to the eye and just unclip to release or pull alongside to retrieve. I only used it twice but it’s working well although always considering other options
I brought it used with engine, I love it, it has been with me to all over the uk. Had some lovely fish. I paid about £4000 for the boat and engine. They are not cheap. but very good. I hope to edit some videos of my trips when I settle into my new job
nice set up you have there very similar to mine. be very careful with the launching wheels especially over a bit of rough ground, i had exact same wheels but they buckled and the aluminium plate bent after only 1 launch. These are copies of the original wheels that are made in new zealand but are obviously nowhere as strong as the originals. i am currently in the market for a different set which is annoying as the transom now has 8 bolts in her. hopefully buddy you will be ok but keep a eye on the base plate take care and have fun.
How is the floor made of ? I see that that the floor is in v shape . Does not it bend on your weight ? I saw some diy built a temp flat floor ? What do u think ?
Thank you for watching. The floor is three part fibre glass. It is v shaped. Until I used it I thought that maybe a bit annoying. But in a small boat it doesn’t really have any disadvantages. It’s not like your constantly walking around a deck. Infact there are some advantages. Fish, spray water, dropped items etc congregate in the centre making retrieval tidying up, bailing, and drying much easier. There will be lots of videos of it in action this year
Sorry missed a bit of your response it doesn’t bend, it is far harder than an air deck. It would be possible to ply line the bottom but more disadvantages than benefits

@@carperblue how much does the boat weigh ?
@@alexstubbins6298 I understand the boat weighs 48kg easy for two to carry or one man move on a slip way, engine tackle etc with it all removed
@@carperblue thats pretty good considering its got a rigid hull. Think that will be going on my Xmas list ha ha

Thank you, it is on a railblazer mount and camera boom. The boat will be getting much more use in the coming year

Yeah, i'd be excited about that too! Nice to have the option of sharing the boat. Does this mean you're selling a hobie?

Hi, what make is the under seat bag?
Sorry for delay , to be honest I don’t know. It was an eBay purchase. I will try and find a link
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134489026084?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=duaDrITMSma&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
I made the seat slightly narrower on a table saw
Well thought out setup 👏👏👏
