Colour me impressed with how accurate this Merlin looks for the scale. I know a guy who lives on an old torpedo boat in London on the Thames that has two Merlin engines.
The first engine is a faff. But not too bad if you let the glue dry and work slowly. In issues 31-32 you get the same engine build, but with the HT leads and exhausts already fitted. So if you're struggling, maybe worth buying an extra set of these to replace 19 and 20.

Another update from Hachette Customer Services about the issue you and others identified with the Turtle Deck fitting in Issue14 and your comments in your Video Part 16. "We can confirm the instructions are correct, but to avoid any damages to the turtle neck part, please only apply a needlepoint amount of glue to just hold the part in place or hold it with tape, as this will need to be removed later to fit the lights and wiring" Hope this is of use to others but not sure what people do who have firmly glued in this part!
Got issue 21 today, much harder than the last two issues. May change my approach when the next 3 engines have to be built and put the pipes on before the shaft is inserted. Getting into those two slots which are tucked behind are a real pain.
I did the engine today wasn't easy I tell ya lol 😂 I also bought the glasses on your amazon site helps alot thanks Wayne

Such amazing detail
You’ve gone old school with the glue, not seen u do it that way for ages 😆
Wayne, please do you know where I can get a selection of these tiny screws for this model?
I have no idea. I tend to collect them from other kits but I have no idea where to buy them
Lots of tiny parts. Bless you for your patience.
Are you gonna add any weathering to those engines?
Once they are finished yes
@@WorldofWayneUK So all that engine detail will not be permanently hidden?
One down, three to go Wayne! *helpful look* Well helpful /ish/ anyway *lol*
Great build 🐕🙏💞👍🍺
and you have to do this 3 more times?
Yep lol
I've been meaning to ask; in your opening video of the plane, only 1-engine is not working?
Yer. It's just a prototype. All will work in the end
Any word on the Dalek?
Nope. I think it will be a few months before we hear something
@@WorldofWayneUK you'd think it would be released while the current series is on TV.
I couldn't leave that all black, lol
Yeah like super fiddly like a challenge and we have to do it another three times
Looking good but I'm not looking forward to it I know it will be fiddley my oart should arrive next week
The horrible thing is; you will need to do thids entire thing a further three times!
criekey that was painful to watch! I'm almost expecting the thing to start up and fly on its own!
