A guy Brian on the facebook forums seems to have indicated the undercarriage doors not closing is due to them hitting the tyre. His suspicion is the two rods from the undercarriage to the doors are too short. He’s cut them in half and extended them slightly and the doors close perfectly
Morning Wayne. Wow you are looking amazing, the diet most be going well. This Build is looking really good pal coming on really really nicely. Great that you are doing something like this Best to family
I think that the battery box-test board combo of this build is of good quality (3 slot AA battery compartment with a power switch that grants a nice wattage for every build, test board with switches and multiple sized ports to accomodate many different types of plugs), keep it for future builds if this one doesn't require you to recycle those components and make them part of the final assembled model.
Like others, spent hours on those B***** doors. it's all down to those wire hinges, took it all apart and just adjusted the bend in the hinges to get it right then padded out behind the wire to stop it from moving around after it's fixed back in place. . New props were also a nightmare, couldn't get the pitch machinist to work at all, so those are just individually set by hand now.. I don't know why they didn't put a proper hinge on those doors, though. Anyway great vid again, very helpful as always..
The instruction for fitting the ball joint to the doors is in magazine 28, steps 03 & 07. The wire from the outboard engine fits in front of the 'channel', not in it. The channels are for metal 'spars'.
Assuming that they don't provide a fix for this later (which you would hope they would considering EVERYBODY I've seen building this has this problem with that landing gear and doors (kind of like those right ailerons on the Tumbler)), if I was building this model, I probably would just leave the landing gear doors off and make sure the wheel went up and down.
Hi Wayne issue 24 check your piston attachment see if got the right way round be cause I had the same trouble doors did work I checked the piston I put them wrong way round I change pistons right way and the doors closed yip pee hope this. Helps
Wayne just a little warning the next couple of packs for the fast and furious skyline is all wiring and it is a nightmare it took me 4 hours to do the wiring
Hi, did you get pack 2 of the Apache yet? I’m going to be getting mine on Saturday so I’m curious if you will be getting yours soon and uploading the build video soon for it
@ cool, when will you be posting your build video for Apache pack 2? I love your videos and occasionally look in on them when I am struggling with mine
Good morning Wayne, I'll start with this comment.." I'm glad it's not just me!" Another issue ive found is the wheel hits the front side of the storing bay for the under carridge. I'm thinking of sanding down the wheel slightly to take the strain of the motor giving it a better chance of closing, but overhaul its a very bad design (not happy) your views on it??
I don't have this kit but I'm thinking that the doors need to be turned around put the right door on the left and the left door on the right but I could be wrong
@robertduball4605 you pay all that money to find this poor design. It's a moving part you'd think they would get this right. I wonder if they'll send out a "fix it"
yeah those doors for the wheel, don't fit well, also, maybe a bit of a touch up with black in those air side vents, just to give a bit of depth and a bit more realism to that model...
Hi Wayne I have had the same problem as you on the the fist engine it's the springs on the flaps causing the problem I have spent 8 hours I. The problem and still not wright
I'm finding this all very frustrating, what with undercarriage and motor problems, so what I have done is to freeze my subscriptions for next 3 months to see if they get things sorted.
Great video Wayne. John, at Johnsmodelmaking has had the same problem with the doors closing. I think Hatchette have made a massive blunder when designing the parts. I am wondering if they have built this & tested it before releasinging it as a subscription. I am just glad I did not subscribe to it.
Wayne, with the cost of this model, I think the poor fitting under carriage is a disgrace. I love following your builds to see what problems I can expect , I think after that display I won’t be buying this poor quality model.

Wow. Wow, was just thinking about this build yesterday. As hadn't seen a video in a while.
Awesome build and videos, as always.

That looked very fiddly to do but good to see it working (to a fashion) it is an awesome plane
UNDER ONE MINUTE!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Nice job 😊

Ahhh
Reminds me of the spitfire things not lining up think they need to make bigger parts or make them a bit bigger so you can trim them down a bit
Great build and vid 🙏💞👍🍺💪🇦🇺🐕🐕

Hi Wayne others have had the same issues with the opening closing of the gear some say it’s the springs ?
Hi wayne could you tell me what glue you use please
A CA glue. At the moment I'm using a generic one
Wayne just a little warning the next couple of packs for the fast and furious skyline is all wiring and it is a nightmare it took me 4 hours to do the wiring
John's model making is having the same problem with the landing gear as well. He's trying to find a fix for that problem as well.
I am struggling with the second engine built it the prop spins but when I put both outboard casings on the prop won't spin
Lots of.peeps having that issue. Check the Facebook group for fixs
@WorldofWayneUK I'm not on Facebook but will keep at it

I have received it yes

I would not alter any of the kit parts incase they release a fix later that still uses parts you modified
@bryanlatimer-davies1222 that makes sense may try the oil trick for now 🤔
I don't have this kit but I'm thinking that the doors need to be turned around put the right door on the left and the left door on the right but I could be wrong

Hey Wayne. Quick question, where did you buy this Lancaster model from. Thanks
It's from Hachette Partworks but I get mine from the local newsagents
Hi Wayne I have had the same problem as you on the the fist engine it's the springs on the flaps causing the problem I have spent 8 hours I. The problem and still not wright
Doors in right way? Not mixed left to right?
Nope. They match if I close them manually
@@WorldofWayneUK well its something I may have done in the distant past never to be repeated. Sloppy hinges then!!!!
Where did u get that battery tester from ??
It comes with it
5:42 that’s little battery box because I keep seeing it though all your videos u make that’s y I’m asking and love the videos 😊
What grease are you using Wayne?
amzn.to/3C4h6IV
@@WorldofWayneUK Thank you
When are they going to sort this undercarriage problems? if they don't then I will be pulling out of this build.
I'm finding this all very frustrating, what with undercarriage and motor problems, so what I have done is to freeze my subscriptions for next 3 months to see if they get things sorted.
Question what did your Grand Father do during the War ??? 😊😊😊
Serving in the RAF

good to see that this model is rubbish. so i don't have to buy it. Also the gaps are huge thanks for showing!

Pretty sure youve not followed the instructions properly again with the wheel bay...
Others have the same issue
Those doors are terrible.
A poor quality, expensive model. I stopped my subscription after 7 issues. Good luck.
