I like going even farther with point 1. I don’t just think about how I’d do it differently - I’ll often figure out what that is and do it. It’s been the basis of a few really fun ideas. I didn’t really understand what you meant at first until I heard that part!

    Great insight on musicality!
I feel the same about chords, can't stand major, especially lots of them in progression.

Very nice. Here’s a topic for you…I have friends who make great music, but they think it’s terrible? No amount of coaxing is able to convince them that their creations sound good. How can I help them hear what I hear in their music?

Hey, thanks for commenting! Unfortunately I’ve experienced this many times, and they can be legit amazing musicians, but no amount of validation from another person will help kill that negative perception they have of their gift. I would suggest encouraging them to identify three things they’ve experienced in their lives that’s unique to them, that they value, and ask if they were to write music from these experiences, would they have value? Sometimes we focus way too much on striving for technical perfection that we forget that, who we are as a whole, was poured into the making of our sound. Hope that helps 🤍

It's nice to see someone who just enjoys what they're doing on camera. There is something about your videos that resonates. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration ;)
    PS
I wish I spoke English enough to read your book with interest. I will gradually watch the episodes on the site. Seems to be a lot of interesting stuff here too ;)
