this just answered the question i've had for weeks now, i went out, backed that cap off just a smidge and bingo!!! it must be that the electrode grounds out to the nozzle inside so it's a dead short and trips the machine out. I had mine pulled all apart hoping to find a broken wire and it was just this easy. Doesn't make too much sense but it's a super easy solution and saves me ripping my hair out. Thank you. Cheers!!!
Just spent most of the day trying to solve the same problem . It’s the earth clamp, it needs to be on clean ground metal, preferably on the work you are cutting.
I don't really know what was wrong with it but It cost almost $300 For a welding supply company to make it Work that's why I bought it I think it all has to do with the torch Head Change all the parts in there and don't overtighten it

I have the same machine with the same problem except mine will not work with the nozzle backed off. Thank you for the video.
