Good to hear from old Pete after a long time. Someone I connected to a few years ago.. who wasn't doing things over the top, who wasn't spending all the money, who was just INSPIRING me!
Peter has taught me so many things and with the help of that I have grown my presence in every social media platforms 😄 Thank you Peter❤️ Soon we will do vlog together 🙌
Thank you for making this video Peter. I think it’s a topic people need to hear in this day and age. When I first got into the social media sphere I started an automotive based account where I told the history and stories behind cars and the people who brought them to life. I specifically decided on this niche because every other car account was just posting “🔥 tag a friend who likes this car” and saw no value in that. I saw immediate growth (1,000 new followers per week) and thought I was onto something. I spent the first year (now I realize it was a foolish endeavor) trying to monetize the page but struggled to make ends meet and burned through my savings. So instead of trying to monetize the page directly I started using it as a resume to get new full-time jobs in an industry I had no experience with and that worked well for me. At the same time my page was starting to loose traction and I was beginning to feel a bit stale on the theme of my page. I wanted to start shooting video but it was such a daunting task, I never did it. So I stopped posting. During that same time I fell into a deep depression. Within a month my girl friend broke up with me, my house was threatened by the biggest fire in California’s history, my grand mother died and I was unable to attend her funeral (she is Italian and lived in Florence, Italy), then a girl I met after my girlfriend and I broke up passed away in a mudslide caused by the fires the month previous. A month after that I was fired from my job and needed to move in with my parents. I eventually got help from a therapist and the support of my family (as well as watching yours and other creators TH-cam videos) to help reinvent myself. I decided to tackle the fear of video and started a video series on TH-cam that worked with my Instagram account. 7 or 8 videos in and I not only made some of the strongest bonds and friendships with my subjects, I’ve been able to convert these videos into jobs that have paid my bills for the last three months. So I guess my point is, don’t view yourself as a failure if you don’t have a large following. Don’t only view social media as a way to make yourself rich and famous because it can be useful in other ways. use it as a tool to further your goals and aspirations in your career. Use it to network and form relationships with like minded people and as a resume for your work. Or simply as a creative outlet to express yourself. Long rant over lol. Thanks Peter for all the inspiration and passion, the world needs more PMs! 👊🏻

Having a niche that you are passionate about and monetise. The time to craft good content, schedule and post. And, the most overlooked of all - engaging with others to grow a community, that's the golden ticket! 😎
Bro. I needed to see this. These concepts began clicking with me for TH-cam in the past few weeks. I am a Twitch streamer with a Digital Marketing degree and I have an endless passion to learn new ways to create digital content. I’ve never thought to share those photos or edits or those clips that make me gitty. This realization spurred me to create a digital art portfolio to express my work, and merchandising for some of the Twitch emotes and logos I’ve created on my own. I always post teasers at the beginning of the video as attention getter, but I should share those because Those are my favorite parts. I appreciate that you went back to the roots and instead of boasting your legitimate growth on this channel and have become a public figure in the social media platform, you’re telling people to be organic, creative and show us what truly matters to them. If anything, it’ll challenge 99% of the people that watched this to face the fact that they may not even be sure what that is yet. Keep up the dope looking slides. Would LOVE to learn some of those sick transitions with that high quality equipment. Those trapped me in this haha. Question if you do somehow come across this: Is there a boundary that you choose not to post if you love something you created. Like where does your niche end?
Been doing TH-cam for like 2 years now, I’ve watched so many of your videos to get better cinematic content! Finally hit that 1k and I can’t wait to grow 🙌🏼
"and you can make anything interesting" - and that, right there, Peter, is why you're such a successful artist. Thank you for continuing to create, share & inspire millions!
Hands down best channel/influencer for photography and cinematography interested people. Love your enthusiasm and the way you share everything to help people do what they love
Such a good video on focusing on the big picture for the account and staying consistent with the theme. The new account you’ve created, Peter does exactly that.
Idk bout this vid man... it feels like you didnt say anything you haven’t said before. Maybe that’s just me but I prefer quality > quantity. Anyway I’ll be here for the next vid again cuz i do really enjoy your vids ✌🏻
Yeah I agree, I didn't learn anything here. I wish he would've touched on the realities of the algorithm too. It's very difficult to find anyone who has grown purely off IG in the last year. It's usually people with a good sized TH-cam/Tiktok audience growing on IG
@@dna8269 If you have already heard this before either take it as a reminder and move forward to taking his advice. Or you have been here too long without acting on the appropriate things. It also sounds like you are still focused on growing your followers and not your passion. Les brown is a good guy to watch. He goes into explaining once he showed up and 10 people were there. and he didn't give his all because he was expecting millions of people and he lost the respect of those people because of entitlement. too many people are looking for the millions when they have 1 or 2 people interested. also read an article called 1000 true followers. For me personally I am still learning every day. it takes time. I have watched my account sit at 350 people. im grinding grinding grinding and learning every day. Finally i get better and my account went to 425 people. and i have been sitting there for a couple months again but my main focus has always been no matter what, i'm going to do my best so that the few people i work with get my best at that moment. Who knows, not everyone is going to make 1 million followers. Another point he made here, I am not sure what you are trying to do, but have you tried marketing yourself to other businesses? have you tried producing free work to see if companies or small stores like it? if you are doing all of that. then listen to Gary V's advice and you might have to accept that you might not be good enough yet. So keep working. It ain't coming easy.
I feel like my issue is I’m all over the place, I do street photography for a month and then landscape and then portraits lol so I’m just all over the place lmfao

PM, talks about a sphere
His hands: lets make a heart
This guy is the reason why I started photography and video productions. Thank you
It's almost like he twisted something in my brain and it all clicked.
Been doing TH-cam for like 2 years now, I’ve watched so many of your videos to get better cinematic content! Finally hit that 1k and I can’t wait to grow 🙌🏼
I was just thinking of how to actually grow my IG. I attracted this video! 😍
Viaje ni Bree u attracted it?
@@herbalgiles9468 what you think, you attract
Me too! Weird...
Pete's right. Some are born with talent, but consistency is a choice.
This looks suspiciously like downscaled 8k footage with a slight R5 crop 😉
😂
So it looks like Panasonic 1080p? 😋
Joe Marano 😂😂
Nah! That thing is too busy cooling down
Spence Reyes 😂 damn that was good
"and you can make anything interesting" - and that, right there, Peter, is why you're such a successful artist. Thank you for continuing to create, share & inspire millions!
When he makes fun of the Instagram Gurus "5 tips to get your Instagram from 0 to 1000 followers in X months" HAHAHHAHA
Hands down best channel/influencer for photography and cinematography interested people. Love your enthusiasm and the way you share everything to help people do what they love
Don’t use “2020” in titles.Its scary!
Right? 🥺
PETER! WHERE! WHERE! WHERE IS THR PPPPWWWWHHATTSSS UP EVERBODY?? That excitement, that high tension! I miss it 😭😭😭
Next video: How to invest time into your passion
That Daytona 👌
How many times can a dude say "sphere" 😂😉
Such a good video on focusing on the big picture for the account and staying consistent with the theme. The new account you’ve created, Peter does exactly that.
Great message. Get reset for me. ❤️
🙌🙌
Every time i hear Pete's talks i want to go out in the world alone and just with my camera. Its always so inspiring
hey, where is my favorite ''pwhats every body''😂
I really appreciate how effectively you share your ideas and make them approachable. You’re motivating.
Peter you killed this video man and it doesn't even have all of your usual bells and whistles- just you speaking your passionate mind!
Thank you!!
*Googles: "How do I invest in my passion?"... 😏
Jokes aside, that's really the important question here.
i wish you had the whole world following you, you inspire us SO much Peter. I agree with every word you say
So, we all just gonna act like that denim jacket isn't drippin?!
it is for sure
Pete is definitely King Passion! His words are true.
I have nowhere to go, no friend to hang out, no thing to get, nothing to enjoy in life
Things will always get better man
take care human
Korona really hits hard
you share your Imagination, Peter. and your imagination is outstanding. That's why.
I feel like my issue is I’m all over the place, I do street photography for a month and then landscape and then portraits lol so I’m just all over the place lmfao
Gracias Pete !! Siempre encuentro motivación con tus videos!
I love Pete, I love his videos, and a lot of them help a TON, but who else knew straight up "petespiratelife" and "fly the flag" was his the whole time lol
It's where Pete gets salty.
This is the realest video on the internet. Real talk. Love it.
IG2020: “Unfortunately it does not work like that”
I couldn't care less about the likes, but man! Peter always manages to makes me see things from a different perspective, maybe that's why I keep coming back to learn from him
