My Mom has carsinomaosarcoma and has done 6 rounds of chemo then a biopsy. They then told her she needs to take keytruna evey three weeks along with Lenvima a chemo pill every day from home. This regimen failed to in controlling the cancer. We just started radiation theorpy yesterday to shrink cancer that is attaching to an unbellica hernia. I want her to go to a sarcoma center and see a specialist in sarcoma but dont know where to take her where the oncollogist is more exerienced in sarcoma. We live in AZ and is struggling with finding an oncolist that can help. Any info would be appreciated! Thank you... David
I have leiomyosarcoma, a soft tissue cancer in my ankle. The orthopedic oncology surgeon suggested taking off my ankle. I just can't see that. So she is going to do surgery an a plastic surgeon will do a skin graft. I had a pet scan nothing showed up anywhere else. But it can still spread fir some reason even if the cancer has all been removed. It's a constant battle with these cancers.
I am worried for the last years I've been having what feels like lumpy fatty tissue build up in the inner thighs, abdomen and chest area. I've asked doctors in the past and they said it's fatty tissue. I was told I have enlarged lymph nodes in my chest and groin. I've seen an Oncologist/Hematologist then a Surgeon who did a biopsy along with other Doctors. A biopsy was done on my left Auxiliary Lymph Node and nothing suspicious was seen. I continue to have these things and the doctors never could say what I have. I've had all kinds of crazy symptoms for years. My doctor said my C diff was normal and I didn't have unexplained weight loss or night sweats so he wasn't too worried. I am wondering do Sarcomas or anything I should be worried about always show up in bloodwork? What would you say I should have the doctor's check ?
My wife died of intra abdominal spindle cell sarcoma at the age of 50. She underwent debulking surgery. In the middle of surgery doctors called me and told the disease was so extensive and there were numerous small tumours apart from two big ones. She recovered from surgery very fast and underwent chemo epirubicin 4 cycles. But the tumours grew and she died within 4 months from surgery.
My son had chondrosarcoma at 33 and spread to his lungs and he died at 42 after eight months of metastasis. His doctor team at Kaiser did nothing but just let him die. They didn’t give him any clinical trials or anything and he was only in his early 40s , so discouraging about our health system
If soft tissue sarcoma can appear in any part of the body, i tried looking it up for the arch of foot, not much luck finding it.. So just wonder if its possible to have it in the area of the arch to the bottom of foot & what would the symptoms be in my case a doctor said it could b my shoes but its not in my case at all but wonder what it could look like & feel to the touch.. I've had no luck with any help to research of finding what to look out for at all but with what im having is so much pain waking me up even if im on my feet or not the pain goes up my leg into bone as we'll like it wants to snap into
I have a Synovial Sarcoma between my ankle bone and heel. Went to an orthopedic Dr when I started having pain walking swelling in that small area didn't go away with rest. After X- ray,one MRI then another MRI with contrast, I was preferred to an orthopedic oncologist. I was shocked. Who would have thought. It's a rare cancer is probably the reason we don't hear about it. You should make an appointment with am orthopedic Dr to start with. The longer you wait if it is a sarcoma the more chance of it spreading. I thought mine was due to age, that my feet always pushed inward when walking. You could tell by the wearing of my shoes. Thought maybe a little arthritis I just didn't know. Wished I has went at the beginning not waiting until pain set in.
A very positive video in an often negative scenario when it comes to Stage 4 Sarcoma. I like that it ended with “hope”.
I think we all know why we are here today :(
Ouch.

You need an MRI. See an Orthopedic Dr first. That's what I did. I have Leiomyosarcoma in my left ankle.
Lung Sarcoma is real bad feeling
