Fellas, the Volkswagen only weighs 4,400 lbs, it’s not a full-size ladder frame chassis. The 4 cylinder is more than enough. It’s a solid motor. Way better than a naturally aspirated v6
My favorite VW product I want to get Ben.
I hate climate controls being integrated into the infotainment. Makes it harder to adjust while driving cause you have to look and fiddle with the screen.
Would love to see a short clip of this beautiful beast at night to show off the new exterior lighting and interior ambient light also. Thanks.
I have a Volkswagen atlas 2021. My wife hit a deer in May 2023. The car is been sitting at the autobody shop. Every sense since they cannot source a bumper or hood for it. Volkswagen cannot tell us when they will start making hoods and bumpers for their most recent cars and this has left us with a car payment and insurance but no car to drive. I would not buy a Volkswagen atlas or any Volkswagen for that matter Volkswagen is not manufacturing parts to repair their cars.
The facelift made it more upscale (and pricy too).
Small engine for a big and heavy suv I think is a bad idea in the long term, great review Ben 😎
Nah, she does just fine..turbo is much better
I owned the 4 cylinder with turbo atlas and it sure does pick up, and good gas mileage for the size.
@@jrgarcia4679 yes sir. I have one. Slapped a jb1 programmer on it, k&n air filter, and a pedal tuner. It is vastly more responsive and much more powerful than stock :) ,may trade for 2024 model soon though. Cheers!
@@ArmoredBullTrading The K&N filter did absolutely nothing to make it more powerful.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 increasing the flow of air giving more overall air volume increases power for a turbo. I modified the air box as well. I put on the IE air intake system. A noticeable change in spool. But for the wifes car ,she hated how loud it was lol. Cheers
Looks like they did improve it. The engine is probably the weakest link being only a four banger tasked to move this large car.
I tried it yesterday. Felt very light and still had great passing speed.
Look at all the goddamn space in the engine bay like why they should’ve kept the V6 the car is beautiful inside and out but not with that engine fucking psycho ass manufactures, they keep dropping cylinders, but raising the prices makes no goddamn sense
Welcome to Bidens NEW America…….
Nice LED LIGHTING 🔆🔅🔆🔅🔆
VW could of easily put 290 hp with this 2.0 liter turbo with how big this SUV is
I would like to see you using the hda especially in curves so i can see if it does well as the telluride.
Yes, how does VW Travel Assist compare with KIA/Hyundai's HDA system?
Looks like my 2021 ford expedition xlt in the front
Auto brake hold is still missing.
For real. It should be standard on all vehicles now
I love mine
I remeber being at an O'Reily's auto parts store and a guy did obd test , his Atlas has 20 error codes . Vw not so reliable any more
Like it, just not the all touch :S
Not a fan of the changes this model year. I have the 2022 and see nothing I'd want to upgrade for. They lost the engine. They made the infotainment system/climate controls worse. Nothing looks wise is better. Then again I have the r line sel premium. Looks like a step backwards.
I believe the 2022 also has more leg room for the 3rd row, correct?
That’s a land rover and jaguar Volkswagen chime
Is there a auto hold for a brake????
You asks this on every video :p
There is not on any trim model
@@keska01 Because everyone didn't explain about that. Auto hold is so useful and helpful. So I don't understand why VW didn't adopt the brake hold 😕 😐 😒
@@amanti113 totally get it! So weird that at $50k we even have to ask for simple features 😑
Because they have the stop start function
Volkswagen overlooked it again. Bummer.
Changing drive modes looks cumbersome. No power steering column. Hard pass on this one.
Every car going electric power steering now, I prefer those because no need to constantly change fluid when it runs out.
You should try changing drive modes in a Toyota chr, buried away in menus requiring multiple button presses!
2 liter 4 cylinder 🙄
19/26 mpg? that’s terrible for a 4 cylinder
try 16/22 real world but this loser can't know because nobody will give him a test car to keep more than an hour....LOL
It’s a massive car
First
I hate volks
The 4-cylinder definitely looks lost in that engine bay. Interesting that Mazda is putting a turbo inline 6-cylinder engine in the new CX-90 while VW does away with the VR6 engine. VWs improvements in the 2024 Atlas were definitely needed to keep it somewhat competitive in its class but the CX-90 looks like it's going to be the new class leader. While I love the exterior styling of the Atlas the black plastic wheel well inserts make it look cheap compared to many of its competitors.
