One thing about debut era Jennie was that she was gonna put her entire soul into any choreo she was given. Of course she still eats up their choreos and gives us energy but when Jennie debuted she was a different breed, watching her earlier era fancams be having me in shock I swear. but then again it's better that she doesn't try to go all out these days for her health, motion sickness, ankle issues. I would prefer to see her perform to the best of her abilities without hurting herself than see her go all out and end up hurt.
You are absolutely right. The dance practice energy and MV energy are so completely different. It’s easy to forget when watching their MVs that there is a reason they sit at the top of the heap.
I think people started hating on Jennie when some videos of bp practicing surfaced before an award show. Apparently when you're a kpop artist you are not allowed to have a mood, to feel pain, to be imperfect and to get tired. Basically, you become a robot or superhuman. Grrr...
Jennie was the one who Taught the basics to the new trainees who had no experience in dance. Rosé mentions this in "Light Up The Sky". Jennie had injuries, mainly to her ankle(s), off and on for a number of years. The first that we know about 2016 while practicing for the group's debut stage on Inkigayo...she was taken to the hospital and could not resume because of her injury, which prohibited her from even placing her foot on the ground. She also injuried her ankle while touring in Japan. There were many times where you would see one or both ankles taped up, sometimes a knee... you would also see her in a walking brace, using canes, and she often used crutches(they are visible in photo and videos, in the studio etc). She would still do promotions, and preform never given the time to properly heal. Not giving Idols the proper time to heal from injuries, shaming them for being hurt(human) and not able to preform IS INSANE.
A lot of people have commented that Jisoo was the weakest dancer but has improved. I am not a dancer but I don't see that to me Jisoo has always been great to watch dance and right there with the other three girls. Also, Jisoo being the shortest member, when they are on stage is always dancing in either tall high heels or very thick platform shoes. No hate, just wanted to show Jisoo some love and respect. P.S. A wish for peace and long life for everyone.
Yeah! I feel like the reason Rosé fits the hiphop style very well is because she has great fluidity, when it comes to moves like body rolls, waves, and sways imo she's the best because her moves are so fluid and her lines are so pretty!
Back when Lisa's bangs were moving 🤣🤣 Also check out their Boombayah double speed dance on weekly idol or whatever that show is called. It's hilarious!
I like Jisoo's shirt in the Boombayah dance practice. I read in the Rolling Stones magazine that she likes rock music. That is a GNR tshirt. The Appetite for Destruction tshirt. :)
I totally agree with your first comment about who swaggy Rose' is. If you were going to call any one of them really girly-girl, it would have to be Rose'. I just think she is the girlyest. However, when the moves call for sort of tough fist pounding, shoulder thrusting or hip hop dance moves, she is really good at it. She really does embody the feel of these songs in her dance. Jisoo also does it too. She may be the most refined in her regular movements. But she does tough hip hop dance really well. Jennie & Lisa are just so good at everything that they don't get enough attention for it. We've just come to expect them to be that good. Jennie is really the virtuoso of the group. She's just great at everything they are doing here.
Have you watched jisoo solo cover of Yuki No Hana Live YOU got to see it,jisoo in this song she's wearing a white dress she's so stunning and her voice well don't even that's so so so great, so please please please react to it 🙏🙏🙏
Jennie was a monster when they debuted, you can see how great she was at rapping, singing and dancing too. Especially in the past, Jennie's dancing really gave a main/lead dancer vibe, but unfortunately she's not consistent with her dance for now. Sometimes she dances really well but sometimes she is even less than jisoo. If she maintains her dancing energy, she will be the next YG ace after CL

Agreed. Her energy, vibes and attitude is what really sucked me into bp. I really miss debut era Jennie tho :(

09:07 I just realized that rose actually give us a hint about her "On The Ground" solo since BP debut 😎
they have her struggling on the ground 24/7
Blackpink said that Whistle dance was one of the most difficult to perform.
