Dear Himanshu ji, India me hi sab se jada CUF value consider kia jada tha irrespective of plant capacity. Even we used it's value in sizing battery capacity for off grid or hybrid plants. It's been just a couple of years only that we started using PR values to assess a plant performance. And globally PR values are much reliable than CUF anytime.
For CUF, i think we consider 24hrs instead of considering generation hours... And please can u tell me how ideal values of PR or CUF is set, like 75% PR and 17% CUF...

Hello Himanshu, There is some thing wrong in CUF calculations, maximum CUF value would and 25 to 28%. but in excel sheet we got Annual CUF more than 30%. and Monthly CUF should be minimum 15% and maximum 25%. according to india conditions CUF would not be more than 25%. Please check it once. CUF(%)= ( Actual energy kWh)/(Plant DC capacity * 24* No of working days). as same as your formula. But values shows wrong. Please check it once my friend.
Can you explain how to calculate irradiance of solar. We having irradiance meter which gives reading in w/sqmtr. How to calculate the Kwh/sqmtr with 15 minutes sample rate of irradiance value (w/sq mtr)
Usually it's auto calculated by SCADA , because it requires instantaneous raw data, in order to manually calculate it you need a whole day data in an excel , then apply the contractual formula

Cuf is metric to compare how different generation technologies utilise the available capacity effectively.

How can you utilize the capacity of a plant 24hrs , when it only generates for 11-12hrs a day?
