I saw it at a preview on Saturday in London (UK doesn't get this until end of January) in 70mm and it's as impressive as everyone says. I have a couple of quibbles that I won't say, but those aside, this is a remarkable piece of filmmaking. It looks incredible and if you'd told me it was an undiscovered film from decades earlier I'd believe you too. The scope of it on 70mm adds to the experience, especially with the architecture shots, the score (which you get a glimpse of here) is wonderful and the acting is spectacular. Adrien Brody's performance is utterly spellbinding. Easily one of the best of the decade if not longer for me. Give him the Oscar now. Guy Pearce is very good and I Felicity Jones may be my Supporting Actress performance of the year. As for the run-time, don't be put off. The intermission is built in to the film, so you get that 15 min break, but even with that, both halves of this film flew by for me, which really surprised me.
