Sounds so much better. I went from blitz Nur spec R to Cobb. Night and day
I’m all for the Q300. Ties in so nicely with the rear end for a much cleaner look. I used to run a straight pipe on my old blobeye and loved the sound so much but did get annoying and I knew others hated me for it. Now got a quiet exhaust on my hawk and much prefer it. Plus as you said, it is much more mature which I appreciate.
Looks much more classy and respectable, far better than the angled "fart can" look of the n1 styles...imo of course
My cousin has the quad exit q300 i believe on his 12 sti. Sounds amazing
I think the N1 sounds way different with a resonator in it. My buddy had an Invidia N1 Race on his STi & I always thought it was a little too loud & raspy for a daily. I've had my N1 Street for about 7 years & it's perfect for me. Funny that you're making your car quieter & I'm making mine a little louder. Haha.
That's how it is man. Everyone wants what they dont have. I've been running an N1 variant for 2 years now, and I think I need to go quieter. It just wears on you after awhile.

+ Q300 for mature look and sound. It seems quieter than Cobb.

I just put this exhaust on my '03 Bugeye and honestly it's like the perfect amount of sound
Flex fuel and the Sti badge gives you an extra 100hp
Changing out the catback is super easy / can totally change the car and style. Have my quiet track setup and then the loud AF tomei. Each has their time and place

a more mature look and sound would be the n1 or tomei. with the tomei or n1 you have that burnt tip/sharp tip. the tip would blend in better with the apr defuser.

N1 and Tomei aren't "mature" per say
I have the dual on my 08, sounded great for a while and sound packing or whatever is gone so it's much louder , but I also have header back catless .
I've had the N1 on my wrx for about 3 years now, definitely thinking about changing it to the crawford gymkhana exhaust
Yoooo the Crawford is SOOOOO loud. I got so many complaints as soon as I installed it 😂
I thought the Q300 sounds great, and looks really good with that carbon fiber bumper cover. I hope a rear diffuser can clear that large muffler section.
I think the tomei would of been better for your custom built wrx and the Q300 for the daily wagon..by the way love the content you kick out and the wrx is really badass!!!
Tbh liked the sound of the N1 better, the new one looks good but prefer the sound of the N1 better. Good video though 👍🏾

You can always delete the resonator in the center to get it to be a bit louder and more turbo whistle
I like the N1 because of the thin wall on the tip. I like that look more personally.. But sic ride freak!
Q300 Sounds basically identical to my pro drive muffler on my sti. I removed the cat on the sti and the sti is still more quiet then my catted 2.5 rs lol.
Q300 looks and sounds much better. Sadly not as quiet as I was hoping for.
I'm looking for the quietest 3" exhaust i can, had higher expectations for the q300
The new one's way better. Looks really clean. I have a magnaflow on mine , still loud when WOT but "quiet" when you cruise .

Inner diameter is definitely smaller. You measured the od which on your new setup the wall is much thicker

Hahah I myself I’m going with a quieter exhaust, sucks to say but they do look better imo, and sound good without being abnormally loud and I can’t wait
In my opinion i would have say the "N1" befor it did sound better ,but i am sure there is plenty of other brands out there that makes nice exhaust that is little more louder then your new new but would change of the sound i term of idle.

Looks same as mine which is a 4 inch cobra straight exit which is handmade over here in England sounds very similar apart from I have no centre resonator 😁

Your q300 looks simple and classy. I had single n1, ark exhaust, q300 quad and now i have q300 dual. Im ok with with dual q300. It looks really simple and sounds close to stock. I like simple looks and there isnt really a huge hp difference.

I have the HKS carbon Ti, no cats and, honestly mine is pretty quiet but has a deeper sound. A little bassy.

Sounds great bro🤙I’m going q300 on my ‘18 STI too:) like every subie lover, I’m obsessed with the deep rumble. But my STI is my daily and I have a daughter and neighbors. I like the look of the R400 better but I want to be able to have a conversation in My car so I’m going q300 for sure. If it were a track car I might feel different.

Hey, I know this is an old video but with the current laws regarding exhausts, I’m curious. Is this “straight through”. Basically what I’m asking is, if I looked inside the exhaust, would I see straight through? Or is there baffles in the muffler.

Im running a g200 on my gd sti. Not really a huge fan of the tone of it. Kinda miss my n1 but I guess quieter is better for daily driving
I wonder if changing the mid pipe with change the tone. Cuz of the flex pipe n resonator could be restrictive.

i love the look and has anyone compared a Q300 or a Cobb Catback? Im debating on either since they both look good but also has a nice quite look. i had a N1 already and loved it but you guys are right and i dont need to be loud to be fast.
I run the q300 on my forester, i much prefer how subdued it is for day to day use
I'd of just got the back box, cheaper an still would of removed some decibels

Does someone know if it is an absorbing or reflecting muffler system? I mean the oe is reflecting with the different chambers in the muffler but the g200 is an absorbing style with the straight perforated pipe in the muffler.
is there a dent in your boot/trunk? or is it just the lighting? near the badge on passenger side

Is that carbon fiber right above the exhaust? I'm definitely not an expert in this situation but that stuff melts pretty easily if it isn't coated with something.
