    Everything you want? Where are the levers? An espresso made in Italy is supposed to be made with a spring lever machine

    Have any of you been to this place in Florence? Or what's your fav coffee shop in your town?
    Matteo was the barista! Thanks Matteo.

    Just had coffee Ditta Artigianale and was the worst we had in Italy. Watery coffee with overcooked milk. Literally couldn’t finish my coffee.

      Yeah? Which location? It's the type of place that you can say if you are not happy and they'll make another.

    This is NOT the best coffee in Florence
    No way - went there today and coffee was pretty average

      Hmm. Let me know which one you think is better. Try La Ménagère.

      yes, definitely. They are so good to me where ever I travel in the world. I last remember the barista in Oman refusing to let me pay for the flat white because when he poured it went over the edge. I drank it, but he sent me a 2nd one, too!

    It looks so good, but for what is genuinely the best coffee in Italy, you need to head to Napoli.
    Coffee is the pride of Naples ( one of the many things they have to be found of 😊)

      Napoli's coffee is legendary! I'll have to give it a try on my next visit. Thanks for the recommendation! ☕🇮🇹😊

      Please list those coffee shops here so we can all go and enjoy them and do they serve traditional Italian coffee without updated expertise from the baristas?

    Almost the worst caffé I've had in Firenze...arrogant bariste...and overpriced at €1,5. Pizzino and Gilli are far superior. La Marzocco, while well-known and made locally, are not the machines you see throughout Italia...La Cimbali...95% of the Bars for good reason. The Worst caffé...Sisters' B' Bar on Viale Antonio Gramsci...undrinkable. Leki, the adjacent bike shop is terrific. I bought a bike from them....

    • @GregorBrown
      @GregorBrown  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm quite surprised by that but then everyone has his own tastes.

      @@GregorBrown I stopped by there several times, and had the same average(which is really really poor for Italia) and Insouciant experience. They seem to be good at PR though, appearing in the WSJ and elsewhere. I had an apartment in the Oltranro for a good while and frequented Cafe Gilli and Pizzino, as well as Pegaso. NEVER a bad caffé, nor such indifference. I experienced that indifference and very average caffé on each visit to Ditta...I went there hoping to experience something enjoyable, but found just the opposite...I'm not going to try to explain it. It is what it is. Good caffé is easy if you care.

      I’m curious would you keep going back if your experience was bad?
      It’s understandable if the coffee/food was good even if the staff were rude or vice versa, but it makes no sense if you hated your whole experience
