honestly the pvp system with melee gets kinda real with how much struggling goes on rather than damage until someone is injured too badly to continue fighting or messes up
i mean on real life a person with a gun so close probably wouldnt miss, and it would before warn the other person he has a gun, since its real life the other person would froze (no one reacts, at least no instantly) since a game character has no biological emotional reaction that's a possible thing that it would try to push the armed person (it wouldnt even work really) also running towards zombies isnt something that looks like neither i or anyone would do, even if you consider you would be panicking and would not be rational to think about using the zombies but still there's an extra thing, in real life no one would risk (armed or not) trying to fight other person unless you have some advantage like seeing the other person by distance then shooting her or something, also probably the armed person would be in a group of at least 2 people, i dont think it would roam around alone unless its really close to their encampment. still the pvp isnt that worst, i just doesnt understand how a person that was shot at close distance can still run/ fight the other person, but besides that.

Personally it's not that. It's more that *especially if you know what your doing*, you can just up and stun-lock people to the point that they literally can't do anything at all. This is an example where it's more or less an even playing field (at least when it comes to the 'stun-lock' part.

kinda fun how zomboid humans can be surprisingly tanky to initial damage. its taking care of the wounds afterwards is the hardest part. i wouldn't surprise me if after every serious pvp fight nobody wins like this.
@@muatring Look, it completely depends on a lot of factors. Location of hit, type of shell (buckshot will not do the same kind of impact damage as a solid slug), sheer level of adrenaline, pain tolerance and much more. There are only two ways to reliably put down someone instantly : to deal extreme trauma to the brain, or to deal extreme trauma to the central nervous system. Anywhere else and there will be no certainty that the man will be downed instantly. The human body is, in fact, quite resilient to trauma, there's a reason that some people's survive with more than 50% of their brain gone, there's a reason why people's in gunfights can get repeatedly shot in the chest and still move, run, fire back and even think somewhat clearly. It's true that generally you're not likely to survive a shotgun blast at such close range (without immediate medical assistance at least) but again, it depends. Maybe it hit him in the extremity of the chest, or maybe it barely grazed him, or maybe only a few pellets actually impacted, not being enough to put him down.
@@KalashVodka175 Not to mention that at such a short distance it can actually be harder to keep the gun on target. A shotgun is pretty long still and at point blank every step matters a whole lot more than at a longer distance where you only need to shift the gun a little bit to keep it on target. And at that distance the guy without a gun can actually grab the gun or shove into the other guy, and the person with the gun will also be far more nervous due to the proximity.
