    Amazing AR treatment for excellent readability, 47mm lug to lug is also wrist friendly to certain extent. My opinion on the date- could be removed to have 3 on the dial and move Sinn logo to below 12, add silicone hairspirng to address the 60Gauss shortcoming. Nevertheless, I would get one when available. Great review, love the outdoors footages and in water shot to bring justice to the 200m WR. Happy summer time Alexander.

I have the Sinn EZM10 myself, and just love this functionality! Only thing with this is I would like to have a 1-12 option on the bezel (like you can on a Damasko). Nice review, as always! Like this new model very much with the center minute and seconds display in chrono mode. I have a Sinn 156 with the old Lemania 5100 which is the same display. Is this the same movement and module that Sinn uses on the some of their other watches? Like you I am surprised that They provide more anti-magnetism protection but I guess it would be a pretty big watch if It had an iron cage added.
    Thanks for a complete review.

    • @WatchAdvisor
      @WatchAdvisor  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is the new calibre (Concepto = Valjoux 7750) plus the module for the central second and minute hand designed by Sinn... Adding a soft iron inner case would in fact blow the 717 further up and make almost unwearable ...

  • @anthonystevens8683
    @anthonystevens8683 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    A great review Alexander. I love the chrono execution and the readability of the watch. I think the nearest watch I have for chrono readability in low light is the previous Omega Seamaster 300 chrono (Valjoux 7753 heavily modified movement) that also had lume on all chrono hands including the hour although arguably less readable at a glance as the Sinn. As a tool watch it works well also. I would be interested into the pressure resistance service intervals for service given the rotating outer bezel that looks to using friction on 'O' rings although I have no idea as to how this may be done with modern engineering techniques. Thoughts welcome. Oh and I'd probably dispense with the date complication.

    This one is a real 'knee-slapper' from Sinn. Hilarious styling from 2002 served with a super thick, thick, thick side of ugly. This isn't an 'everyday' watch, it's a 'neverday' watch. Swing and a miss from Sinn. Who was asking for this watch?.....NOBODY! Great work as always, Alexander, unfortunately even your hard work can't save this 'World's Ugliest Paperweight'. OOOPSSS! Love them both but the anniversary is my fav watch in my entire collection hands down. Everything works -the size, the all black, white chrono, orange/red hands. Just amazing. You mention 3000 times that the watch is 200 meters waterproof!
    Ok, it’s understood.
    But you almost didn’t say anything about the movement:
    Is it COSC approved or not?
    From which basic movement derives?
    Does it have any certified shock resistance?
    Does it have a high/low temperature range (-45 C° / + 80 C°) resistance like other Sinn watches?
    You rightly mention that the 717 has the antimagnetisch protection of 6400 A/m required by DIN 8309, which is insufficient for a Flieger of this category: in fact, other Sinn model offer the much higher antimagnetisch protection of 80.000 A/m (16 times more!), and such a watches have a price almost 50% less than the 717 !
    - you also did not mention the very high quality of the case (signed on the side at 6 o’clock by the famous brand SUG (Sächsische Uhren Technologie) certified and awarded DIN EN ISO 9002.
    I really hope that the Sinn 717 may have such a features in a possible “mark II” modell in the near future (expecially the 80.000 A/m antimagnetisch protection) considering its price of more than 5000 euro.
    Many thanks for the video!
