My biggest problem with the hunt in comparison to the old egg hunts is the lack of prizes. Egg hunts gave you a prize for every single game you completed, but now we need 95 badges for just 5 items
This event could’ve actually been really solid if the devs had more time to work with. They should’ve gotten 2 months at least instead of just a few weeks. Not to mention that plenty of the games in the event were mindless cashgrabs and it was clear that little to no effort was put into them.
RB battles somehow made such a good event in 2 weeks, but even then, they spend so much time and effort on making their events good that you feel bad for them being underrated
Although "The Hunt" was pretty bad, it's no doubt a step in the right direction. I'm so glad that Roblox is actually doing something for their community after 3 years of dead silence. Nice video though, I enjoyed it. I really liked how you gone into details about certain stuff, it was entertaining. Good work as usual!
12:33 What is interesting about the warrior cats hunt event is if you fiddle around with the menus you could find a whole custom and detailed lore about the map that is separate from the book series it's based on.

i think the funny thing about the Sonic super simulator one is the fact that along with the hunt event they released a full on boss battle as side content for the update that was actually really well made. they could have just had us do that instead.
As a 100 badges player, this event needs to picking the right ingredients in order to cook up a well deserved event. In addition, bring back the real Egg Hunts. There’s like a lot of newcomers who wants to experience hunting eggs from ROBLOX. I guess limited UGCs are carrying that trend now.
I’ve won The Hunt and I say it was quite an experience. It wasn’t the worst nor the best. However, I hated on how time consuming it is. (Main offenders are Pull a Sword, Lumberjack Simulator, SpongeBob Simulator, The Strongest Battlegrounds - it took me an HOUR, etc.). However, I still do have hope in Roblox lol (also wtf how many cash grabs are there?)
in my opinion metaverse champions was done way better because in that event you only had to do like 12 quests each week and you could choose which games to play
19:15 honestly I think the devs were given 4 briefs but the briefs were "koroblox" "the hunt[its blue]" "egg hunt" and "time travel/vault" and honestly,,, yeah its a bit vague if the next hunt was like, overseer themed then it might make the first hunt's theme more interesting oh and yeah honestly too many games and a lot are dissapointing infact most friends know I made a list of my fave games that could of fit but sadly none were there.
Considering how roblox gave developers a 2-week notice to implement their event integration objective to their game. I wish roblox could give them a longer time to make it. Hopefully the next roblox "hunt" would be a little better considering roblox needs quality control for an event.

This felt like Roblox’s desperate attempt to try and appease the community and they just chose 100 games on the average 6 year old’s for you page, therre were just so many copy and pasted cash grab unoriginal uninspired mediocre or just plain boring games that they chose for this, it was either a simulator game, an obby, and for some reason there were like 6 games that had some sort of car that’s a key mechanic of the game, and the quests that they made you do weren’t even original either, it was mostly just completing some task(s), finding the item(s), or a low effort “collect number of x things to get the badge!” that didn’t even have to do with the game, they just slapped eggs somewhere on the map and gave their thumbnail a blue border there were very few games in this event that were original or broke away from what they normally did and made something special out of it, and I appreciate those games i got 95 badges to get all of the items, and i’d say that the event was pretty mediocre tldr: the event was mid, too many games that were just the same

My biggest and most common problem is probably the quests being “playing the game normally” And even then, if a multiplayer game requires you to go through small servers or pay for a private server for a quest then idk if that’s really that good of a quest (and some games didn’t have small enough servers anyway)
when i did the maple hospital one there was a nurse with a patient who was holding a baby, and when the nurse saw me she kept saying i was the father of the baby over vc because the baby had yellow skin and so did i . they then both chased me around the map trying to get me to pay child support. 10/10

The whole point of this event was to criticise it, Roblox literally said so. If we just stay complacent then we're just gonna keep getting worse and worse events. To be honest I did all 100 games, solid 3. The prizes were barely good, games were unoriginal and some unbalanced/broken, Roblox barely spent time making the event and I had NO fun. Metaverse champions was way better realizing it 3 years later it’s one of the best events with an actual good prize being the valk.
@@ellamartintsova5615 what i liked about mvc was that you also didn't have to do most of the games (looking at some games like TGIP, Teddi, and Power Simulator 2), but i went the completionist route and had to go through 3 of those games :/ the accessories were definitely better too
This hunt was only a test to see what we want. There was a "megahunt" leaked, so perhaps they could use all our feedback and make better hats with better games included.
Yea, they made a blogpost about it and the changes they announced were… minimal to say the least, so it’s safe to say we’ll keep getting events like this but maybe with more quality control
I feel like there was a certain MMA/visit count requirement too, since every game in this event has quite a lot of people playing it even not during the event
i play jtoh and the steep steps one could've been a decent introduction into this community, but it was hidden among all the other games and considered too difficult by many so it was skipped over, 100 games is absolutely absurd, how would you even organize that anyways?
Honestly with some quality control from Roblox the event could've been fun instead of going through 10+ simulators and 5+ tycoons Hoping to see more of it in the next events and probably the 2nd edition of the hunt
Correction the map for steep steps was a reskin (they changed it to blue instead of green and added some more the hunt detail) rest of the map after 100m stayed the same (everything in the quest was original though)
I didn’t know wolf or other was in last hunt event, that just makes that badge worse 💀 The only way you can possibly win is to be the wolf, everyones out there to get the badge and the wolf targets you if you have the egg Lazy objective and downright painful
I played need more friends when the hunt first came out and the logs were *TINY* and the hit boxes were *JANK* ended up rage quitting and coming back after they made the logs bigger.
The prizes are one thing... but the quality of the events ought to make completion worthwhile. The rewards on display here are much more useful to your average player (most people don't walk around wearing eggs on their heads), but I couldn't bring myself to finish the event for how horrendous the quality was. I played the same simulator game 3 times with different paint, spent 3 hours playing football and the catches I made didn't register, spent 3 MORE hours grinding out pet simulator to reach area 20, etc... gave up about 45 badges in. It wasn't an event, just a spectacle where I had to guess what horrid or tedious objective I'd have to spend my time on next. Even if we accept an average of 5/10 for all 100 games included here, the minimal scope and lack of care in place of what used to be the most anticipated seasonal event on the entire platform makes this a 0/10 for me. They started doing these "community-based" egg hunt events as far back as 2015; everyone hated it then, and the cracks have only grown. The thing that bothers me the most, though, is they had the solution back in 2017-'18: the hunts were made by teams of Roblox game developers, endorsed by Roblox. If we want to "support developers," why can't we encourage greater quality from them as well? Not to mention, including multiple games from the same developer on multiple occasions flies in the face of this goal-- they just want cheap, low effort events built on the backs of their development community. It's cheaper and it's faster for them.
I dislike the doors event because it literally would've been added anyways (it had been worked on for like almost a year) which kinda sucks that there was nothing special for doors
well now i know i'm not the only one that thought the hunt was mid. also about the hunt having a theme it actually did, the theme was time travel. i understand not being able to know the theme as i only saw it mentioned in one tweet by bloxy news iirc (sorry, i needed to).
Im gonna be honest I really enjoyed games like Big Paintball 2 and Gunfight Arena. Sure its mostly just playing the normal game but I still found both games really fun and thats how I rated them! Also yeah 75% of these games followed the premise of do the same game or find x amount of item. I just hope Roblox picks better games or listens to the community on what games should be in the event as most were mediocre at best and annoying at worst.
@@Scouthex From their own event, yes. I believe the last Roblox event that had the Eggchanted egg was the bow and arrow minigame? It's been awhile, I can't remember the details... Other than the minigame being annoying and it taking maybe 3 rounds to gather the eggs needed? It's fuzzy. Anyhow, it's not really a dig at anything, just a thing I noticed since I used to play RH quite a bit before. Out of the whole lineup, it's definitely not bad, just directly recycled.
For me all the donuts were in the first area where you meet the cop.. (Barry's Prison Run) Update: Project Smash was easy on day 2, everybody had it by then and it was free. Oh yeah I think the event would've been way better if it was an item every 10 badges instead of every random amount.
cause Natural Disaster Survival had a really bad objective that was annoying to do and you could only do it by paying robux to the game or trying to find a small server (which is pretty dang hard) so tbh it’s more scummy than those two quests

this event was not viewed positively by most people and lots of games had scummy monetization to get you to spend money to get through the quest faster. NDS kinda sucked but car crushers 2 (my main game I play a lot) is fun
tbh looking back it wasn't really the best objective... i mean being on the winning team can be really annoying and luck-based, which kinda ruins the objective (though it's still good imo which is why i gave it a 9)

Btw number 37 (warrior cats) is a RP game based off the warriors book series, I know because I’m reading the books right now
I have a theory: the next egg hunt will be about time travelling for eggs to defeat a korblox boss. Maybe that's what the themes mean

Also, Roblox isn't "interacting with the community" in this case, they're just getting developers (that they already interact with) to make some crappy quests and prizes.
The whole point of this event was to criticise it, Roblox literally said so. If we just stay complacent then we're just gonna keep getting worse and worse events. I do think it's good that Roblox is doing this, but they could be doing better, and you know it as well. They're saying they want to, and we're telling them what we want.
And yea, people won't be fully satisfied with anything, that's just human nature, I don't see the point in bringing that up.
Roblox really chose a game called spongebob simulator for an egg hunt
To be honest I did all 100 games, solid 3. The prizes were barely good, games were unoriginal and some unbalanced/broken, Roblox barely spent time making the event and I had NO fun. Metaverse champions was way better realizing it 3 years later it’s one of the best events with an actual good prize being the valk.
The crowns are actually more for the eggs than the hood

@@ellamartintsova5615 what i liked about mvc was that you also didn't have to do most of the games (looking at some games like TGIP, Teddi, and Power Simulator 2), but i went the completionist route and had to go through 3 of those games :/

This hunt was only a test to see what we want. There was a "megahunt" leaked, so perhaps they could use all our feedback and make better hats with better games included.
Yea, they made a blogpost about it and the changes they announced were… minimal to say the least, so it’s safe to say we’ll keep getting events like this but maybe with more quality control
i truly think the only 2 criteria was, your game has to be playable by all platforms and it can't be a robux locked game (like deepwoken or bloxburg)
I feel like there was a certain MMA/visit count requirement too, since every game in this event has quite a lot of people playing it even not during the event

i play jtoh and the steep steps one could've been a decent introduction into this community, but it was hidden among all the other games and considered too difficult by many so it was skipped over, 100 games is absolutely absurd, how would you even organize that anyways?
the bunny got glitched for everyone in the server I was in so it stayed in one spot so the quest was really boring
Honestly with some quality control from Roblox the event could've been fun instead of going through 10+ simulators and 5+ tycoons
Hoping to see more of it in the next events and probably the 2nd edition of the hunt
Correction the map for steep steps was a reskin (they changed it to blue instead of green and added some more the hunt detail) rest of the map after 100m stayed the same (everything in the quest was original though)

Im so confused about fruit battlegrounds, all hunt reviews say what you said but for me i only had to roll a fruit ???
I played need more friends when the hunt first came out and the logs were *TINY* and the hit boxes were *JANK* ended up rage quitting and coming back after they made the logs bigger.
The prizes are one thing... but the quality of the events ought to make completion worthwhile. The rewards on display here are much more useful to your average player (most people don't walk around wearing eggs on their heads), but I couldn't bring myself to finish the event for how horrendous the quality was. I played the same simulator game 3 times with different paint, spent 3 hours playing football and the catches I made didn't register, spent 3 MORE hours grinding out pet simulator to reach area 20, etc... gave up about 45 badges in. It wasn't an event, just a spectacle where I had to guess what horrid or tedious objective I'd have to spend my time on next. Even if we accept an average of 5/10 for all 100 games included here, the minimal scope and lack of care in place of what used to be the most anticipated seasonal event on the entire platform makes this a 0/10 for me.
They started doing these "community-based" egg hunt events as far back as 2015; everyone hated it then, and the cracks have only grown. The thing that bothers me the most, though, is they had the solution back in 2017-'18: the hunts were made by teams of Roblox game developers, endorsed by Roblox. If we want to "support developers," why can't we encourage greater quality from them as well? Not to mention, including multiple games from the same developer on multiple occasions flies in the face of this goal-- they just want cheap, low effort events built on the backs of their development community. It's cheaper and it's faster for them.
well theres one difference between the hunt and the metaverse champions. In the hunt there is a battlepass
Side Note: Sonic Speed Simulator REUSED the stage from an older objective, the game and it's objective scream laziness

I dislike the doors event because it literally would've been added anyways (it had been worked on for like almost a year) which kinda sucks that there was nothing special for doors
well now i know i'm not the only one that thought the hunt was mid. also about the hunt having a theme it actually did, the theme was time travel. i understand not being able to know the theme as i only saw it mentioned in one tweet by bloxy news iirc (sorry, i needed to).
for some reason when I completed one game it automatically completed strongest battle grounds….despite me not even going into that game.

Im gonna be honest I really enjoyed games like Big Paintball 2 and Gunfight Arena. Sure its mostly just playing the normal game but I still found both games really fun and thats how I rated them! Also yeah 75% of these games followed the premise of do the same game or find x amount of item. I just hope Roblox picks better games or listens to the community on what games should be in the event as most were mediocre at best and annoying at worst.
Fun fact: Royale High's egg hunt was not a new event. It was recycled from the year before, much like how they recycle most of their events.
idk if it was recycled from their own last year easter event, but it definitely wasn’t in any other Roblox event

@@Scouthex From their own event, yes. I believe the last Roblox event that had the Eggchanted egg was the bow and arrow minigame? It's been awhile, I can't remember the details... Other than the minigame being annoying and it taking maybe 3 rounds to gather the eggs needed? It's fuzzy.
Anyhow, it's not really a dig at anything, just a thing I noticed since I used to play RH quite a bit before. Out of the whole lineup, it's definitely not bad, just directly recycled.

The fact Pull a Sword and Military Tycoon got a higher rating than Survive the Disasters is unfortunate. Great video regardless haha.
cause Natural Disaster Survival had a really bad objective that was annoying to do and you could only do it by paying robux to the game or trying to find a small server (which is pretty dang hard) so tbh it’s more scummy than those two quests

this event was not viewed positively by most people and lots of games had scummy monetization to get you to spend money to get through the quest faster. NDS kinda sucked but car crushers 2 (my main game I play a lot) is fun

tbh looking back it wasn't really the best objective... i mean being on the winning team can be really annoying and luck-based, which kinda ruins the objective (though it's still good imo which is why i gave it a 9)
