Hi Do you know what the BT range of the Eufy is please? Chipolo has an advertised range of 200ft but actually gets upto 500ft, Tile pro advertised at 400ft. Many thanks
Just bought mine. Apparently, they dropped the "left behind" feature. I do not see it in my app. I did notice that it was listed as Beta in the video. Very disappointing
So as far i understand the Eufy is essentially NOT working with Android: If I left the tag in my car and my car gets stolen, I cannot find my car back with my Android phone . Is that correct?
@@winandd8649 correct, unless you get within Bluetooth range. however! I believe the apple find-my network is rumored to be opening up to android soon. So that will give you that ability
Just wondering when you say first tracker that works with Apple and Android? tile tracker has been working with both for a long time as far as I know. And don't get me wrong, I don't like tile. I have them, and they don't work well Out in the network.
@@GrantButler Sorry I jumped the gun. I didn't watch the whole review when I made that question. So the downside is if it's. if it's connected to find my network from iphone , then you won't see it in Android phones(ping from the Android network.). So the network is limited to iphones, which is large. Don't get me wrong, but if you have an Android phone your network size will be only the size of the Android apps That are installed on Android Devices, And I would assume there would be very few iphones with the app installed if it works with the. ios find my network Most people would just use that. So If I had an iphone(Which I do not), I would just buy the air tag because it has ultra wide band.
This won't work on Android for tracking luggage or anything out of range from your android device. Found out the hard way trying to track my luggage. Needing an apple device to find the tracker defeats the purpose! If i had an apple device i would get the air tag lol. Would not recommend buying.
So location not reported by iphones and androids without running app makes it less useful than airtags and smarttags. Basically only for finding things around the house.
I wouldn't say that. I stated the ability this does & doesn't have in the video. Mine works great for lost items around the home. And Google just announced that they're going to soon have access to the Find My network
They are coming out with SmartTrack Link for Android late 2024. Works with Android Find My Device. Also works with Android and iOS unknown tracker alerts.
They are coming out with a version that works natively with Android Find My Device network late 2024. I think the other tag makers (Tile, Chipolo, and Pebblebee) are also coming out with something like that. It would be nice if Apple and Google shared that info but I doubt that will happen unless they are forced to. They have agreed to a standard that shares unknown tracker tag info to prevent abuse, but not the actual location finding info.
Are you saying that because of something I missed in this video or that may have changed since making this video. Or is it something that I mentioned that you didn’t know?
I hoped it would have been more like the Apple AirTag, updating as soon as it would be close to an apple device. Was about to use it for my cat that likes to visit other houses that feed her milk. But cats are lactose intolerant 😅

Got one and it has a really bad range
I got about 80-85ft
What's the range of the @Samsung Galaxy Tag (1st gen) & the @eufy SmartTrack Link #samsung #eufy
I thought the range would be irrelevant as it uses the Apple network
Just bought mine. Apparently, they dropped the "left behind" feature. I do not see it in my app. I did notice that it was listed as Beta in the video. Very disappointing
Oh dang
It is there on android beta mode but not ios yet

@@GrantButler Thank you for confirming. So that's a bummer really.. I'll have to wait for Google's Grogu tag to be released..
thanks for the great video and amazing review i'm buying this ❤
Awesome! Hope you love it!
use as a key chain is it easy to scratc the QRcode? (to make it unusable?)
Lol so I just tested it with a knife. If you scratch it enough it can't be scanned
Take a picture of it lol so simple
what is the range of it? bought one for my wallet without researching and i’m now thinking i made a bad purchase.
Depends on your phone. I got 80-85ft

@mrj.juneau that's true, however those works with apples find my network. Does the tile do that too?

Do I have to do anything different to get this in my android? It's only working in my iphone :-(
Android requires you to use the eufy app
@@GrantButler does it work with android signal? or only receive a apple signal?
@savanamoia8255 it's Bluetooth. On apple it uses the "find my" network, and on android it uses your eufy app.
@@GrantButler Which makes it basically useless for Android. They are coming out with one that works natively with Android find my device late 2024.

I thought I'd explained that. You should probably look at the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag.

They don’t work out of range anyway because it’s, you know, out of range. What are you banging on about?
So location not reported by iphones and androids without running app makes it less useful than airtags and smarttags. Basically only for finding things around the house.
No, it behaves just like an airtag on iPhone, but not on Android

@@sachinvara5103 try the Samsung Galaxy tag, or tile
@@GrantButler which is better

You should be able to find links to it in the description of this video
Can I use it to follow my kids on maps without them knowing ?
@walaaraouf3774 I don't think so. Do you're kids have phones?
Most people have iPhones? Nope. Most people have Android. 70% of phone users are Android i believe.
@robertjohnston8531 worldwide, yes, in the USA, apple is 56% of the market, that counts as "most"
They need bluetooth connect 😢 .
@@Yacinemaitre I'm pretty sure that's how it connects

Should have done more research before buying one. I expected more from it

No worries, the video is great. I just didn't do enough research myself. Something I normally always do before buying something

Samsung tag is superior to this tag. I don't have apple tag
