We have been on many Viking cruises, both Ocean and River. Definitely agree that the included tours are almost always great, and the guides are always very knowledgeable! On Ocean cruises, the included tours are usually offered at many different times throughout the morning and early afternoon. We typically figure out what optional excursions we are interested in taking ( if any), and then schedule our included tours around those. Enjoyed your video and have subscribed!!

This is so helpful. Wow, I can't believe they would change your time on the fly like that. Why would they offer these various times, so you can fit it into your own relaxed schedule, and then change it on you last minute. I think that is bad. I will hate it if they do that to me.
The excursions are very concentrated on the history of the city you are in. I love history so I am happy with the Viking tour guides and excursions. The extra excursions are also great. Usually more concentrated on one thing, not just general knowledge.
May I ask: if you can take a bus to the main center (with the included tour), and then you are on your own and can take a lot of time or a little time, how do you get a bus back to the ship? Do they have multiple runs, and do they tell you the departure times. I would just worry that if I want to spend only an hour or so, I don't want to be waiting around another hour for a bus. Thanks so much for your help. I am both excited about this cruise and also have trepidations.
Very informative video! We are scheduled to go on the British Isles tour in May/June 2024. We have never been on a Viking cruise. Regarding the included tours, obviously all 930 people can't go at one time, so I gathered they have different time slots. How many time slots do they usually have? You mentioned that sometimes they may change your time. If we decide to something independent of Viking, I think that might cause an issue. I'm probably overthinking this. Not overthinking at all my friend that’s why I created this channel. They actually have about 20 huge charter buses so everyone can go at the same time but with different tour guides it is very organized
