You said this is your favorite os. I really want to know though, can people install this and use it just like windows? I understand linux can’t really download the same stuff as windows but can you use this to download games from steam and download drivers for my gpu and such? Does this operating system just provide passive defense agianst spyware and attacks and such better than windows? What do people chooce linux for instead of windows? I know one reason is that linux usually doesn’t collect your data since it’s open source and such.
Some guides on how to perform penetration testing on your own systems would be nice, so let's say I wanted to setup my own mail server or web server and I wanted to make sure it's locked down well enough for public access.
Been watching Mr Robot recently as I was stuck at the end of S1 way back when... I've been wondering if and how much Kali's popularity has grown since the TV show :D (spike of downloads etc)
Since Kali Linux is an open source OS that anyone can download, is any data fed anywhere that is kept for ethical hacking purposes? Or is it all anonymous work?
I used to use backtrack 5 a number a years ago(worked pretty well)... stopped using it when I got into univeristy and required many civil engineering software. I might get back into linux now that im out. Thanks for the video!
I've a few month old copy of Linux Magazine which has an article on encrypting the kernel but doesn't really go into huge detail on the benefits/downsides for the common user. Is it worth setting up as yet another layer of headache for anyone making it past the router, or are the downsides going to make network life a pain for the user?
Great overview, thanks for showing us the bigger picture first. I'm new to Kali Linux and interested in security but I've been apprehensive to learn mainly because I feel like I'll mess something up with my software and make matters worse. So I guess I don't fully understand the idea about Kali Linux. Do "attacks" on your own network just expose weakness or do they actually do damage that must then be repaired?
Hello so recently I heard of Linux on windows store and i downloaded Keli Linux i wonder how can I use these tools are the commands the same from the command line and can you do a tutorial about that because this opens the door for many people to see what Linux is all about
Before this video, I had only heard the name Kali, without know what it really was. I have tested a few Linux distros and seen reviews on many more. I've got to say, this is the one who scars me the most... :
Is this serious? Get to the point of something practical rather than just explaining the obvious. "This is FireFox" no shit if you don't know about firefox what are you doing touching a Kali terminal lmao. Idk just my advice. Something more practical and specific and not beating around the bush would be of more value in my opinion. Great luck to you and have fun with it.
Let me know if there are any specific Kali tutorials you would like me to cover
quidsup if you'd like to get some fun practice, check out some Vulnhub vms
simple WEP cracking for beginning
metasploit with armitage
I'd like to know how to crack a WPA2 WiFi. Then I'd know more about securing WiFi connections ^.^b

this is interesting. im actually looking forward to seeing your tutorials on some of the tools.
It'd be nice to see how Kali works in a short and concise way.
I'm assuming that will be the style considering its how Quids operates.
