How To Appear Offline On Facebook Messenger

In this video, learn how you can change your online status so as to appear offline on Facebook Messenger.
By default, a green dot shows up on your profile icon when you are online, and all your contacts will be aware that you are indeed online. This applies to the contacts as well. You will be able to see their online status.
However, if either one of you changes your profile status to appear offline, you will not be able to tell whether someone is online or not. This is despite the fact that they or you might actually be online.
It is possible to hide your online status if you want to go stealth whenever you are online. This applies regardless of whether you're using an Android phone or an iPhone.
When you turn off your active status, you won't be able to see other people's active status as well.
To Appear Offline On Facebook Messenger:
Launch Facebook Messenger and ensure you are logged in to your account.
Tap on the menu icon on the top left-hand side corner.
Select the Settings icon on the top right-hand side.
Scroll to the 'Active Status' section and tap on it.
Toggle off the 'Show when you're active' button.
Choose the period you want to set or set a custom schedule.
Tap on 'Pause' to confirm that you have paused the active status.
