Well Liz, Mark has already said it all! There are inside-out projects and INSIDE-OUT by Lizzie. Great video too! 😎

@@myambitiousart Not sure if I can make one this year. My kids are both moving out of the house and they need my skills in carpentry, electrical installations and plumbing. Not sure if there will be much time left. 😎

It sounds like you have your work cut out for you! The things we do for our kids, right? Good luck!😁

I'll have to be honest Lizzie and admit that that the inside-out stuff has never really appealed to me but having said that I'll happily admit that this was a fascinating and enjoyable video of a job very cleverly executed. If I ever change my mind about this style yours will certainly be my go-to video! Thanks so much Lizzie - whatever you make in your workshop, I'll be there to watch the video. And a very happy Christmas to you and all your viewers.

Thank you so very much for your honesty, Mark. I had watched a few videos of the process and was intrigued. I love a good challenge and this seemed to be the right project for this technique. Of course, by taking it a step further made it a little more special by hand painting it. I was actually looking for copper studs to adorn it with, but couldn't find any. I do appreciate your views, thanks again. Happy holidays to you and yours as well!😊

@@myambitiousart I think your copper coloured paint for the studs works very well. I have some copper nails which I've used for details on things but they never seem to work out as nicely as I'd hoped. So perhaps it's just as well you couldn't find any 'proper' studs! Thanks again.

I actually did find some copper nails, but decided not to use them...🤔

Would be a better video if you would have a narrative to go along with your turning. What was the paint or stain you used on the inside, and was that a paint you put on the outside. What was the size of the pieces of wood you used

I agree. I will most likely try that technique again and speak through it because it does help. I used an acrylic craft paint in Metallic copper for the inside and embellishments. Then I used a water based gray stain because I wanted to grain to show through. It was then varnished with a gloss polyurethane. I believe those pieces were 2x6 inch pieces, so it's a rather large ornament. Thanks so much for watching and for the input and questions!!
