Yeah or an ending in which Johny and V literaly share the body. Alt said when Johny takes over the body the body stops attacking itself. So Johny takes over half of the time and V becomes the "construct" giving the body time to "relax and heal" and then V takes over the rest of the time. with Johnny as the construct... or something like that...
Best ending: choose to call panam for strike, and choose to keep your own body, aka fall in the well to go back to reality. V will go to Arizona with panam and the clan, and according to the voice messages, V managed to live on after 6 months. Whole another DLC or cyberpunk 2078.
@@rhythmmmmm. no that ending doesn't imply that but it also doesn't imply you died. It's open and I think is more about what your character will do. Keep fighting as Johnny said, try to find a way to live past that lifetime? Or just accept it, and live that time at the best
@@peppinhof7903 From what I remember Panam says something about knowing people in Arizona that can help with his "condition" or there's medicine for that sort of thing so it gives you hope but doesn't confirm it. Basically the best ending you can hope for. And by condition I mean the six months to live. It's said during the epilogue after the attack on Mikoshi.

Crazy how even the ending CD Projekt Red knew most people obviously wouldn’t pick (the shoot self option) was still amazing and didn’t feel out of place. It didn’t feel like a joke or as abrupt as I thought it would’ve felt. And Johnny agreeing and figuratively holding V’s hand as he makes this monumental decision just makes the scene for me.
@@duckcluck123 The worst part wasn't the suicide itself - it definitely felt in place, thought through. The alternative to costing the lives of loved ones, or signing your soul to the devil, being to simply take your own and save them the expense of trying to save a dying man, felt like a viable option and was the first one I picked. But hearing Judy having just lost her best friend to suicide send that voicemail, or Panam cussing you out, or Victor trying to cope with the loss of what sounded like close to a son, absolutely awful. I think it perfectly encapsulated what suicide is - it feels right at the time, but doesn't consider those closest to you who have to live on. The difference being we have to watch them beating themselves up over the loss of somebody they held dear.

Panam ending is definitely the most positive Johnny gets what he wants with going beyond the black wall and Panam and the aldecados talk about there might being a fix for what V has

@@notkml425 well they do but it's more like if you don't help Panam with her side content you don't get her ending. Your relationship with Johnny also affects some of the endings. It's not really any less than the Witcher 3 where it was mostly Geralt's relationship with Ciri that affected the ending.

I think the reason why there’s no “happy” ending has nothing to do with what happens to V or Jonny after they leave Mikoshi. The sad part of the ending is that it’s impossible for both Jonny and V to live, and two friends have to come to a conclusion on who lives and who becomes part of an AI. You know this is going to happen the first time you talk to Alt, but after that mission is when V and Jonny begin to understand each other and become much better friends. If you romanced Panam and left with her, or romanced Judy and left with the Aldecados, you get a hopeful ending. The final cutscenes and the video messages in the credits suggest that there’s at least hope you might live. But even being surrounded by people you love and having hope you might live won’t take away the pain of having to lose Jonny forever. That’s why I think every ending is sad, regardless of what happens with V or Jonny after one of them takes over the body. Some are obviously way worse though, the arasaka ending is horrifying and suicide is easily the worst.
And for me the whole idea of the game is popping more questions than answers and the biggest is if there is any prep work to do to be even able to obtain any of the good endings and the second is what the required work is for being able to obtain the good and not just the bad endings
alex rocksta the hidden ending where you solo arasaka tower looks really satisfying, and it gives you the night city legend ending without killing off any named characters. Not sure if there’s many other endings but it’s nice that two of the “happier” endings reward players who did more side quests.
joining alt you basically become the major from ghost in the shell joining the puppet master into the wide NET,where you will have acerss to anyone conected to it, so basically you could hack into any body and upload yourself to their cyberbrain.

Yeah it's the Game of Thrones disease. Devs don't know how to write a good story anymore without killing everyone you care about. The times of the "hero" gets to have a happy end are gone. But that happens if the people in charge are either people who never had tragedy in their own life or they did and want to make everyone feel as misserable as them selfs. Man it was a good time when you played games to feel GOOD afterwards and not just completly depressed.

7 years of waiting for game. And before the official option to buy the game, we have a cyberpunk with all endings and even a cracked version. I am sad but this is beautiful in its own way.

When RDR2 came out on consoles, I was jelaous because I wasn't able to play it. I'm on pc hence why but I decided to look up the ending of RDR2 and didn't know what to make of it. Once I got my hands on RDR2 for the PC, the journey that Arthur went through (in my case a high honour one) was heartbreaking but at the same time it also felt like Arthur was able to fight to the very end, a warrior. I love the ending of RDR2, it's sad but I believe it's a good way to send out a characther that you play as. I very recently completed Cyberpunks story and I had the choice to become Johnny or live out the last 6 months as V with Panam and Judy. I first picked the obvious bad one (Johnny) and holy fuck did I hate that ending with a passion, idk why but I liked the characther V and to see their effors become completely in vain really annoyed me. Johnny became a better person, appreciating V's sacrifice etc. but it still felt wrong. So I went back, into the well and that ending I believe it to be the best one. What I'm trying to say that RDR2 for me wasn't as hard to get over as just recently seeing all the endings to Cyberpunk. The Nomad ending is the only ending I'm comfortable with and it's made even better if you're going with Judy. idk why I wrote this. Nevertheless please have a good festive holiday and be safe stranger.
The bad ending is the deal with Arasaka. There are no good endings. Johnny hijacks V's body but is finally able to live a normal life or V reclaims his own body and is finally free but dies in a few months, likely in a sick and painful state.
@@ang77l Though it's left somewhat ambiguous it seems V just asphyxiates it space so I'd rank that ending third behind both the Panam/Nomad ending and Johnny taking the Body ending.
Johnny Lives is the best ending, it's sad but Johnny gets to live :0 That or the ending with Panam, I just want johnny to feel like he had a friend in V ;-;
@@Arcessitor Johnny was a real big PoS, but at least seemed to be making changes for the better and I'd argue redeemed himself to a degree. Not perfect, but miles ahead of where he was in life.
I see a lot of people saying Johnny taking over V’s body is the right choice but i have to disagree, johnny going with alt is literally poetic justice since its implied hes the reason she was killed, he learns how to change through V, V allows him to live a little bit if life and have some closure if you do kerry and rogue missions, and in the end decides to leave with alt. All the while encouraging V to go back into his body and quote “never stop fighting”. Its a bitter sweet end for johnny, but i feel it makes the most sense to go back into your body, specifically with the panam ending.
johnny living is the best ending fool. you go with alt bascially becoming the major from ghost in the shell joining the NET. johnny starts to actually LIVE and help a poor kid along the way.
Alt was going to get grabbed up no matter what. If she didn't get grabbed up with Johnny, she would have gotten snatched another day. Johnny was more or less just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Johnny apologizing to Alt and everything is more survivors guilt, him just thinking he could have done more to prevent her getting kidnapped, when in actuality, he really couldn't have. As for endings, I feel V either dies now, or he dies 6 months later. With the explanation Alt gives, it don't sound like there's much hope. At least with Johnny taking over, he carries V legacy, which he now seems to hold and care for very dearly.. But like dude said, just an opinion.

To your point about alts kidnapping, you might be right but in the section where you first meet her she insinuates johnny had blame for it, and if you defend johnny which i did, she explains what you saw was johnnys coping mechanism to alter his memories to avoid guilt, she explains its not what really happened. In terms of johnny taking Vs body, it just doesnt seem like its what johnny wanted, johnny wanted V to take back his body and keep fighting although he is extremely appreciative if you decide to give him Vs body instead. But after making so many connections and having so many people die to get V to mikoshi, i couldnt just betray them by not going back. Last point, alt explains in the final cutscene that she failed to take into account the curcumstances of the 6 months diagnoses, she is not all knowing because if she was she would have known this, there is a possibility she is a missing something even if its miniscule.

Oddly enough, my favourite ending is the "do nothing and commit suicide" ending. It gives a different meaning to the entire story. Instead of someone who fights for his life, you actually see someone who has to come to term with his own death (after he was shot in the head). Johnny Silverhand was actually the voice in his head that screamed for life, that made him fear death. As you progress through the story, you see people dying for their dreams, their convictions, but never the way they wanted. Jackie didn't want to die the way he did, Johnny didn't want to die the way he did. They became so blinded by their ambitions and their goals that their lives didn't belong to them anymore (especially Johnny who ended up in someone else's head). As you approach the end of the game, Viktor helps V realize that if he keeps trying to fight the inevitable, he will end up dying like Jackie and Johnny - a miserable death he didn't want. On the roof, V finally comes to term with his own death. Every time he was close to death, it was on someone else's terms. But this time, he had the choice to die on his own terms. In a certain way, it was also a way to fight all the people who were using him for their own gain, like Arasaka. Johnny understood it and realized that there were other ways to fight, but also that what matters isn't how someone lives, but how he dies (remember how he was proud of his life but realized that it meant nothing when there was no grave for him?). And so, V helped Johnny come to term with his own death as well. And so, they were both able to die the way they wanted to live: as free men. P.S: Johnny's substory with his band was basically V giving Johnny the possibility to say goodbye to his old pals, thing he couldn't do when he was still alive.

The game shows that Johnny wants to be in the AI with Alt, and that Nomads romancing Panam/Judy is the best, but I REALLY like Johnny's character development, and the message his ending has, of how reacting to the struggles in life can shape people, and influence the people around them for better or worse. He matures, and learns, by literally taking a walk in V's shoes, making him stop being so selfish.
Arthurs sacrifices werent for nothing in the end, his death meant John would escape with his family. Cyberpunk ending is too hard to swallow, wish there was a clever secret ending where you survive with Johnny still in your head but the process of taking over body is stopped
@@bloatersnake9787 Actually Arthur Morgan had depression and he had TB and it was one of the problem that Arthur died (The biggest problem is that the gang was falling apart and Arthur tried to make Dutch's brain while micah was betraying them so yea it was pretty sad)

@@ArdaSReal Well, there is another (Most canon) ending i found, where V and Judy escapes Night City with Panam and the aldacado. Panam said they might have figured out a way to remove the Relic from V, without killing him/her. Edit: Not sure if the % will change anything.
I just got the cyberpunk guidebook and there is a secret ending. You have to not choose anything when on the balcony with Johnny for a few minutes until Johnny gives you the opportunity to raid the Arasaka Tower solo. But here's the catch, you have to face high tier enemies attempting to stop you and if you die the credits roll. Yes you read that right, you only have one shot to achieve this ending or the credits roll, so make sure you are properly equipped for this ending and use every trick in the book. If successful, you have to enter the well. After all that, you become a Night City Legend in the end. Edit: I forgot to mention you have to complete "The Queen of the Highway" side mission as a requirement for this option. My bad. 😐
I feel like the interaction between Johny and V in cyberspace for the "Attack on Casino / V keeps Afterlife" ending is yet another bug as it is out of context as fuck. Why would V be mad on Johny for wanting to be a loyal friend towards him? Also, Johny always promised he would go away so where's the lie? Goddamnit CDPR xD
It isn't a contradiction. They can both be loyal n selfless to the point where they both want the other to live on. It's simply up to whoever is putting forth the sacrifice vs sacrificing the other. It's simply how the choice is framed. When you sacrifice yourself as V to give Johnny control, Johnny has the same resentment V has as when V sacrificed himself

And maybe they were shitty, but at least they were not: die in 6 month, die now. I would be happy if there was just one more option: fuck arasaka, fuck Alt, destroy both, go down in a real blaze of glory (both biggest corpo and (possibly) strongest ai in web gone).
28:24 This scene alone made me cry, 6 months of live is nothing so i sacrificed myself for Johnny because he was ready to stay with Alt for V without hesitation even that I romanced the Panam i still prefer this ending no matter what happend V would die but at least Johnny can live once more as better person Rest in Peace Vincent we haven't forgot a thing, never will.😢
Ps. There is actually a cure in real life for this if u use foreign organs in ur body and the body doesn't expect it will kill it just like with V he is the foreign organ at this point, but there are drugs to stop this and to trick it not thinking it's foreign.
I kinda wish there was an option to sacrifice yourself to Johnny without needing to go through Saul/Rogue/etc anyone else dying. Like, just take the pill so Johnny can take over. That's what I would have done, rather than involve anyone else in my mess. At least Johnny can get the chance to live his life better, and be wiser--I like that he was able to be a mentor to Steve, with the inkling that Steve could become a better inspiration/motivational musician than Johnny.
I chose the last ending. Said it would reward me with items in my inventory, spawned with nothing new, not even the stuff I picked up on the fight to get there. :/
This is cyberpunk. V is not a world savior. As Johnny said it to V in the cyberspace, "there is no happy ending for people like us". When V accepted the job from Dexter, he agreed to die young.

I have to say I think I got the happiest of all endings, went off into the sunset with panam as close friend and judy right by my side. I guess death is always a factor in life and we aren't able to choose when we die, but we can choose how we live it and whos by are side during it.
So in the second ending, Johnny takes over V's body while V is now part of Alt, and both of them are now tired of Night City altogether. V takes Alt's offer so that he can rest, and Johnny leaves NC in V's body while leaving a part of him with that kid, thus setting both V's and his legacy in Night City through Johnny's music, V's actions to help others, and their destruction of Arasaka. In my opinion, this is the ending that benefits both V and Johnny, letting themselves get the rest from NC.

Feels to me that V just gave up and althouht started a new, he became apart of someone else. He lost his individuality. At least Johnny was actually ready for it, he accepted it as his penance for his actions with Arasaka.

Honestly i hope there is a DLC where you figure out what’s going on and a new part of a map also, yeah it would be nice to live side by side with Johnny but i think we should at least get one good ending out of it. Unless you die and somehow come back to life but knowing how they do their DLCs i mean anything possible
My secret good ending: Never get any of those endings. -V always still alive -free fun fight, roaming,& rampage in the night city at the whole times -no sacrifice between V & Johnny -never become patents space orbital & never meet Hellman, also never contract -enjoy search & fun for more bugs & glitches
My first ending was the araska ending. I think the bit up in space was extremely well written, but also extremely tragic. I couldn't live with the decision, so I replayed and went with Panams ending lol.
I'm going with the ending where I get uploaded to the Matrix. I'm hoping it means I get to redo the character customization in the DLC when I get downloaded into a new body.
I choose Arasaka, so I can be some kind of brutal warmachine, like a Dreradnought in Warhammer 40 000. They can lend my spirit into a machine that slays enemies of the corporation. :D
I personally think all of the endings are bittersweet depending on who you are but to me I think the two best endings are Johnny taking over Vs body or Johnny sacrificing himself for V In Johnny living he gets to take his experiences forward and be a better person while V got to end his cycle of not being in control of his life and it also continues the theme of sacrifice that Jackie set up for V at the start so V could be a better person, it's like the man on the docks passing along their lives so the next person can be better In Johnny sacrificing himself he comes to terms with his hatred and death to save his friend and it gives V the happy ending of a chance at getting the power he's always strived for

And never stop fighting” *while pushing you in slowly turning away to go join alt* 😣😖😢That line/dialogue right there with many others in the Games story hit hard and will always get a certain feeling (cant explain it) when thinking back on the game with the relationships built with the many well designed characters that had a tremendous impact on my experience. Long story short beautiful game it may have glitches, and bugs but that will always be fixable and was just touched by the subtle messages they were giving the player You/V also it will always be a must for any games story to really grab ahold of its audiences attention, mind, & hearts throughout the game ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (I KNOW THIS WAS LONG BUT I GENUINELY HAVEN’T EXPERIENCED THAT INTRIGUING, EMOTIONAL ENRICHMENT, MENTALLY STIMULATING FEELING ABOUT A GAME IN A VERY LONG TIME IT REALLY FELT AS IF I WAS REALLY IN CYBERPUNK YEAR 2077 BUILDING REAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH THOSE CHARACTERS.) :)
So to sum this all up, there are no good endings. EDIT: Alright, the only endings I see as a good ending wasthe ending with Panam and the ending where V lives and Johnny sacrifices himself.
depends on a person's view. The Ending where Johnny willingly sacrifice himself so V lives is the Best Good Ending in my opinion. Sadly that ending will result in Rogue's death but in the end Johnny comes to terms with his own death and even achieve what he set out to do being defeating Arasaka while V also gets his dream achieved as well by being at the top after all his efforts and even became the new boss of the Afterlife as a extra bonus. Only question now is where this story will go next in the upcoming expansion storyline but my best guess it will be the space station with the different endings changing how V will reach the Space Station.

People who are wondering about dlc it works the same as Witcher 3. After the credits the game puts you back on the save just before you start the final mission. Any dlc will take place before V takes the chip out. Just like the Witcher dlc all takes place before the battle of Kaer Morhen
As for me the good ending is prob living with panam cuz living with the 1 u loved why not Best is probaly Johnny lives so you dont have to suffer anymore Tell me what are yall opinions
I too prefer the Panam ending but the one in which V takes control of body cause Johnny had already lost his everything but the real V still has people who love him and want him to live
the panam ending neither confirms nor denies the fact that V lives or dies during the six months. It’s open ended, and Panam says she knows people that can help. On the other hand, Alt had little time to fully analyze the situation with the biochip in V’s head, stating that V should come with her until she thinks of aomething.
Legit the only ending I havent tried is the one with Panam cause I was always afraid she will die or something. I havent watched all the way through so will try it out tonight. Thanks for this video regardless!!
that was my first one too, was honestly leaning towards doing the panam one but I figured what the hey i started as a corpo ill finish as a corpo and more than likely its my best chance for survival. I ended up playing thru most of them on my one character, skipped a few when i found a bad end with judy, couldn't bear to see her cry anymore so i skipped the ones i thought would also have her cryin. But someone piqued my interest with an idea, gonna try doing no johnny missions, and never let him take control when i have a choice to see if i can slow down the destruction of V's brain and possibly save their life. My guess is, if its even possible, you need to have the middle and right percentages (those 3 windows when you open the menu) as low as possible. Not sure if it'll work but there is a different ending if you get them high enough so maybe there's a different one if you keep them low enough.

I see so many people commenting about how V's life being shorten is so sad when V has repeatedly voiced his desire throughout the game play - to be remembered as one of the legends of Night City and to leave his mark in history. Dex has played this thought with the player on how they want to live life - quiet life or go out in a blaze of glory? You can't have your cake and eat it too. You either have switch to sugar free or snort it. Idk where I'm going with this

Yup. You were shot in the head from the very gecko and the relic chip saved the body but at the cost of v's soul. Any ending you choose except Silverhand's taking over the body is considered bad.
i like the ending where johnny takes over V's body and V goes with Alt. I just wish after the credits they had a little scene where V wakes up in a "generic" body as if while beyond the black wall he found a way to transfer his conscious into a blank slate so to speak.
I doubt either of those ever will. Buuuut it isen't tecnicly impossible that some AI could become sentient and self aware at some point. I think we still are a few generations away from creating any AI capable of reatching that. But hey, it diden't take that long to go from the first working airplane to put a man on the moon. So lets hope that when it happens, that the AI will be friendly and look up to us, or at the werry least se us as ants and ignore us all to gether. But as the old saying goes "Hope for the best, prepear for the whorst."

What i did like was panams ending is a little different actually depending on if you romanced her. Same basic ending like you leaving with her etc but little different details. There's some different dialogue with male v if you romanced her. I just watched it from male v's perspective and it seems you can hug her and whatnot in a specific convo. Also when you get a call from her in the post credits, she mentions how lucky she is to have you etc, thats because you romanced her. If you didn't then you don't actually get a call from her. Same with Female V. If she does the Panam end but, obviously can't romance her, she doesn't get a call from panam in the credits. They're subtle but its nice to know that the romance isn't competely forgotten.

I got this ending basically its her final heist to an Arasaka Casino. Since she knows shes gonna die she goes guns blazing to a basically suicide mission.

I feel like the ending the DLC can prolly roll off of is the one where V gives his soul to Mikoshi because he has a chance to reconnect to another body. All other endings seems to be linked to death via suicide or his terminal illness which then he’ll die in 6 months.

Best ending: choose to call panam for strike, and choose to keep your own body, aka fall in the well to go back to reality. V will go to Arizona with panam and the clan, and according to the voice messages, V managed to live on after 6 months. Whole another DLC or cyberpunk 2078.

@@peppinhof7903 From what I remember Panam says something about knowing people in Arizona that can help with his "condition" or there's medicine for that sort of thing so it gives you hope but doesn't confirm it. Basically the best ending you can hope for. And by condition I mean the six months to live. It's said during the epilogue after the attack on Mikoshi.

Crazy how even the ending CD Projekt Red knew most people obviously wouldn’t pick (the shoot self option) was still amazing and didn’t feel out of place. It didn’t feel like a joke or as abrupt as I thought it would’ve felt. And Johnny agreeing and figuratively holding V’s hand as he makes this monumental decision just makes the scene for me.
Honestly that was my first choice just to see if it would actually go through. The end credits were awful
For me the suicide ending was one of the most gut wrenching and hard to watch ones.
@@duckcluck123 The worst part wasn't the suicide itself - it definitely felt in place, thought through. The alternative to costing the lives of loved ones, or signing your soul to the devil, being to simply take your own and save them the expense of trying to save a dying man, felt like a viable option and was the first one I picked. But hearing Judy having just lost her best friend to suicide send that voicemail, or Panam cussing you out, or Victor trying to cope with the loss of what sounded like close to a son, absolutely awful.
I think it perfectly encapsulated what suicide is - it feels right at the time, but doesn't consider those closest to you who have to live on. The difference being we have to watch them beating themselves up over the loss of somebody they held dear.

It's not really any less than the Witcher 3 where it was mostly Geralt's relationship with Ciri that affected the ending.

Astronaut V looks to be the most apt ending in the context of the story. V sets out to be a legend in Night City and ends up being one.

I think the reason why there’s no “happy” ending has nothing to do with what happens to V or Jonny after they leave Mikoshi.
The sad part of the ending is that it’s impossible for both Jonny and V to live, and two friends have to come to a conclusion on who lives and who becomes part of an AI. You know this is going to happen the first time you talk to Alt, but after that mission is when V and Jonny begin to understand each other and become much better friends.
If you romanced Panam and left with her, or romanced Judy and left with the Aldecados, you get a hopeful ending. The final cutscenes and the video messages in the credits suggest that there’s at least hope you might live.
But even being surrounded by people you love and having hope you might live won’t take away the pain of having to lose Jonny forever. That’s why I think every ending is sad, regardless of what happens with V or Jonny after one of them takes over the body. Some are obviously way worse though, the arasaka ending is horrifying and suicide is easily the worst.
And for me the whole idea of the game is popping more questions than answers and the biggest is if there is any prep work to do to be even able to obtain any of the good endings and the second is what the required work is for being able to obtain the good and not just the bad endings
alex rocksta the hidden ending where you solo arasaka tower looks really satisfying, and it gives you the night city legend ending without killing off any named characters. Not sure if there’s many other endings but it’s nice that two of the “happier” endings reward players who did more side quests.
joining alt you basically become the major from ghost in the shell joining the puppet master into the wide NET,where you will have acerss to anyone conected to it, so basically you could hack into any body and upload yourself to their cyberbrain.
It is sad because of Johny but he already lived his life and did so many mistakes.
ni06no sure, but through no fault of his own he gets a second chance, and he grows a lot as a person. So it’s still really sad to see him go.

Yeah it's the Game of Thrones disease. Devs don't know how to write a good story anymore without killing everyone you care about. The times of the "hero" gets to have a happy end are gone. But that happens if the people in charge are either people who never had tragedy in their own life or they did and want to make everyone feel as misserable as them selfs.

When RDR2 came out on consoles, I was jelaous because I wasn't able to play it. I'm on pc hence why but I decided to look up the ending of RDR2 and didn't know what to make of it. Once I got my hands on RDR2 for the PC, the journey that Arthur went through (in my case a high honour one) was heartbreaking but at the same time it also felt like Arthur was able to fight to the very end, a warrior. I love the ending of RDR2, it's sad but I believe it's a good way to send out a characther that you play as. I very recently completed Cyberpunks story and I had the choice to become Johnny or live out the last 6 months as V with Panam and Judy. I first picked the obvious bad one (Johnny) and holy fuck did I hate that ending with a passion, idk why but I liked the characther V and to see their effors become completely in vain really annoyed me. Johnny became a better person, appreciating V's sacrifice etc. but it still felt wrong. So I went back, into the well and that ending I believe it to be the best one. What I'm trying to say that RDR2 for me wasn't as hard to get over as just recently seeing all the endings to Cyberpunk. The Nomad ending is the only ending I'm comfortable with and it's made even better if you're going with Judy. idk why I wrote this. Nevertheless please have a good festive holiday and be safe stranger.

The bad ending is the deal with Arasaka. There are no good endings. Johnny hijacks V's body but is finally able to live a normal life or V reclaims his own body and is finally free but dies in a few months, likely in a sick and painful state.

I see a lot of people saying Johnny taking over V’s body is the right choice but i have to disagree, johnny going with alt is literally poetic justice since its implied hes the reason she was killed, he learns how to change through V, V allows him to live a little bit if life and have some closure if you do kerry and rogue missions, and in the end decides to leave with alt. All the while encouraging V to go back into his body and quote “never stop fighting”. Its a bitter sweet end for johnny, but i feel it makes the most sense to go back into your body, specifically with the panam ending.
johnny living is the best ending fool. you go with alt bascially becoming the major from ghost in the shell joining the NET. johnny starts to actually LIVE and help a poor kid along the way.

Alt was going to get grabbed up no matter what. If she didn't get grabbed up with Johnny, she would have gotten snatched another day. Johnny was more or less just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Johnny apologizing to Alt and everything is more survivors guilt, him just thinking he could have done more to prevent her getting kidnapped, when in actuality, he really couldn't have.
As for endings, I feel V either dies now, or he dies 6 months later. With the explanation Alt gives, it don't sound like there's much hope. At least with Johnny taking over, he carries V legacy, which he now seems to hold and care for very dearly.. But like dude said, just an opinion.

To your point about alts kidnapping, you might be right but in the section where you first meet her she insinuates johnny had blame for it, and if you defend johnny which i did, she explains what you saw was johnnys coping mechanism to alter his memories to avoid guilt, she explains its not what really happened.
In terms of johnny taking Vs body, it just doesnt seem like its what johnny wanted, johnny wanted V to take back his body and keep fighting although he is extremely appreciative if you decide to give him Vs body instead. But after making so many connections and having so many people die to get V to mikoshi, i couldnt just betray them by not going back.
Last point, alt explains in the final cutscene that she failed to take into account the curcumstances of the 6 months diagnoses, she is not all knowing because if she was she would have known this, there is a possibility she is a missing something even if its miniscule.

Oddly enough, my favourite ending is the "do nothing and commit suicide" ending. It gives a different meaning to the entire story.
Instead of someone who fights for his life, you actually see someone who has to come to term with his own death (after he was shot in the head). Johnny Silverhand was actually the voice in his head that screamed for life, that made him fear death. As you progress through the story, you see people dying for their dreams, their convictions, but never the way they wanted. Jackie didn't want to die the way he did, Johnny didn't want to die the way he did. They became so blinded by their ambitions and their goals that their lives didn't belong to them anymore (especially Johnny who ended up in someone else's head).
As you approach the end of the game, Viktor helps V realize that if he keeps trying to fight the inevitable, he will end up dying like Jackie and Johnny - a miserable death he didn't want.
On the roof, V finally comes to term with his own death. Every time he was close to death, it was on someone else's terms. But this time, he had the choice to die on his own terms. In a certain way, it was also a way to fight all the people who were using him for their own gain, like Arasaka. Johnny understood it and realized that there were other ways to fight, but also that what matters isn't how someone lives, but how he dies (remember how he was proud of his life but realized that it meant nothing when there was no grave for him?).
And so, V helped Johnny come to term with his own death as well. And so, they were both able to die the way they wanted to live: as free men.
P.S: Johnny's substory with his band was basically V giving Johnny the possibility to say goodbye to his old pals, thing he couldn't do when he was still alive.

The game shows that Johnny wants to be in the AI with Alt, and that Nomads romancing Panam/Judy is the best, but I REALLY like Johnny's character development, and the message his ending has, of how reacting to the struggles in life can shape people, and influence the people around them for better or worse. He matures, and learns, by literally taking a walk in V's shoes, making him stop being so selfish.

@@bloatersnake9787 Actually Arthur Morgan had depression and he had TB and it was one of the problem that Arthur died (The biggest problem is that the gang was falling apart and Arthur tried to make Dutch's brain while micah was betraying them so yea it was pretty sad)

I just got the cyberpunk guidebook and there is a secret ending.
You have to not choose anything when on the balcony with Johnny for a few minutes until Johnny gives you the opportunity to raid the Arasaka Tower solo. But here's the catch, you have to face high tier enemies attempting to stop you and if you die the credits roll. Yes you read that right, you only have one shot to achieve this ending or the credits roll, so make sure you are properly equipped for this ending and use every trick in the book. If successful, you have to enter the well. After all that, you become a Night City Legend in the end.
Edit: I forgot to mention you have to complete "The Queen of the Highway" side mission as a requirement for this option. My bad. 😐

It isn't a contradiction. They can both be loyal n selfless to the point where they both want the other to live on. It's simply up to whoever is putting forth the sacrifice vs sacrificing the other. It's simply how the choice is framed. When you sacrifice yourself as V to give Johnny control, Johnny has the same resentment V has as when V sacrificed himself

Ps. There is actually a cure in real life for this if u use foreign organs in ur body and the body doesn't expect it will kill it just like with V he is the foreign organ at this point, but there are drugs to stop this and to trick it not thinking it's foreign.
I kinda wish there was an option to sacrifice yourself to Johnny without needing to go through Saul/Rogue/etc anyone else dying. Like, just take the pill so Johnny can take over. That's what I would have done, rather than involve anyone else in my mess. At least Johnny can get the chance to live his life better, and be wiser--I like that he was able to be a mentor to Steve, with the inkling that Steve could become a better inspiration/motivational musician than Johnny.

I have to say I think I got the happiest of all endings, went off into the sunset with panam as close friend and judy right by my side. I guess death is always a factor in life and we aren't able to choose when we die, but we can choose how we live it and whos by are side during it.
So in the second ending, Johnny takes over V's body while V is now part of Alt, and both of them are now tired of Night City altogether. V takes Alt's offer so that he can rest, and Johnny leaves NC in V's body while leaving a part of him with that kid, thus setting both V's and his legacy in Night City through Johnny's music, V's actions to help others, and their destruction of Arasaka. In my opinion, this is the ending that benefits both V and Johnny, letting themselves get the rest from NC.
it is also the ending that mirror ghost in the shell where major leaves with puppet master into the wide net, conected to everything on it beyond it. when they go full cyborgue or make cyberbrain, v can return

Honestly i hope there is a DLC where you figure out what’s going on and a new part of a map also, yeah it would be nice to live side by side with Johnny but i think we should at least get one good ending out of it. Unless you die and somehow come back to life but knowing how they do their DLCs i mean anything possible

My first ending was the araska ending. I think the bit up in space was extremely well written, but also extremely tragic. I couldn't live with the decision, so I replayed and went with Panams ending lol.
I'm going with the ending where I get uploaded to the Matrix. I'm hoping it means I get to redo the character customization in the DLC when I get downloaded into a new body.
I choose Arasaka, so I can be some kind of brutal warmachine, like a Dreradnought in Warhammer 40 000. They can lend my spirit into a machine that slays enemies of the corporation. :D

Actually this game grew on me. Wish it had more cutscenes like the endings in the actual play when you are about to do a mission.

I personally think all of the endings are bittersweet depending on who you are but to me I think the two best endings are Johnny taking over Vs body or Johnny sacrificing himself for V
In Johnny living he gets to take his experiences forward and be a better person while V got to end his cycle of not being in control of his life and it also continues the theme of sacrifice that Jackie set up for V at the start so V could be a better person, it's like the man on the docks passing along their lives so the next person can be better
In Johnny sacrificing himself he comes to terms with his hatred and death to save his friend and it gives V the happy ending of a chance at getting the power he's always strived for
either died as free and better person or let your mind trap in cyber prison forever without free will (minus your body).

I think you can only run off with Panam (Because she's a nomad) but every love interest has a similar scene in the 'suicide mission' ending.

😣😖😢That line/dialogue right there with many others in the Games story hit hard and will always get a certain feeling (cant explain it) when thinking back on the game with the relationships built with the many well designed characters that had a tremendous impact on my experience. Long story short beautiful game it may have glitches, and bugs but that will always be fixable and was just touched by the subtle messages they were giving the player You/V also it will always be a must for any games story to really grab ahold of its audiences attention, mind, & hearts throughout the game ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (I KNOW THIS WAS LONG BUT I GENUINELY HAVEN’T EXPERIENCED THAT INTRIGUING, EMOTIONAL ENRICHMENT, MENTALLY STIMULATING FEELING ABOUT A GAME IN A VERY LONG TIME IT REALLY FELT AS IF I WAS REALLY IN CYBERPUNK YEAR 2077 BUILDING REAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH THOSE CHARACTERS.) :)

So to sum this all up, there are no good endings.
EDIT: Alright, the only endings I see as a good ending wasthe ending with Panam and the ending where V lives and Johnny sacrifices himself.
depends on a person's view. The Ending where Johnny willingly sacrifice himself so V lives is the Best Good Ending in my opinion. Sadly that ending will result in Rogue's death but in the end Johnny comes to terms with his own death and even achieve what he set out to do being defeating Arasaka while V also gets his dream achieved as well by being at the top after all his efforts and even became the new boss of the Afterlife as a extra bonus.
Only question now is where this story will go next in the upcoming expansion storyline but my best guess it will be the space station with the different endings changing how V will reach the Space Station.

People who are wondering about dlc it works the same as Witcher 3. After the credits the game puts you back on the save just before you start the final mission. Any dlc will take place before V takes the chip out. Just like the Witcher dlc all takes place before the battle of Kaer Morhen
As for me the good ending is prob living with panam cuz living with the 1 u loved why not

the panam ending neither confirms nor denies the fact that V lives or dies during the six months. It’s open ended, and Panam says she knows people that can help. On the other hand, Alt had little time to fully analyze the situation with the biochip in V’s head, stating that V should come with her until she thinks of aomething.
Legit the only ending I havent tried is the one with Panam cause I was always afraid she will die or something. I havent watched all the way through so will try it out tonight.

My ending was legit the one in space where they did some dumbasss tests
that was my first one too, was honestly leaning towards doing the panam one but I figured what the hey i started as a corpo ill finish as a corpo and more than likely its my best chance for survival. I ended up playing thru most of them on my one character, skipped a few when i found a bad end with judy, couldn't bear to see her cry anymore so i skipped the ones i thought would also have her cryin.
But someone piqued my interest with an idea, gonna try doing no johnny missions, and never let him take control when i have a choice to see if i can slow down the destruction of V's brain and possibly save their life. My guess is, if its even possible, you need to have the middle and right percentages (those 3 windows when you open the menu) as low as possible. Not sure if it'll work but there is a different ending if you get them high enough so maybe there's a different one if you keep them low enough.
This endings are all sad cuz i want to Save both

Yup. You were shot in the head from the very gecko and the relic chip saved the body but at the cost of v's soul. Any ending you choose except Silverhand's taking over the body is considered bad.

i like the ending where johnny takes over V's body and V goes with Alt. I just wish after the credits they had a little scene where V wakes up in a "generic" body as if while beyond the black wall he found a way to transfer his conscious into a blank slate so to speak.

I doubt either of those ever will. Buuuut it isen't tecnicly impossible that some AI could become sentient and self aware at some point. I think we still are a few generations away from creating any AI capable of reatching that. But hey, it diden't take that long to go from the first working airplane to put a man on the moon. So lets hope that when it happens, that the AI will be friendly and look up to us, or at the werry least se us as ants and ignore us all to gether. But as the old saying goes "Hope for the best, prepear for the whorst."

When you remember teltate games choices in their games
What i did like was panams ending is a little different actually depending on if you romanced her. Same basic ending like you leaving with her etc but little different details. There's some different dialogue with male v if you romanced her. I just watched it from male v's perspective and it seems you can hug her and whatnot in a specific convo. Also when you get a call from her in the post credits, she mentions how lucky she is to have you etc, thats because you romanced her. If you didn't then you don't actually get a call from her. Same with Female V. If she does the Panam end but, obviously can't romance her, she doesn't get a call from panam in the credits. They're subtle but its nice to know that the romance isn't competely forgotten.

I got this ending basically its her final heist to an Arasaka Casino. Since she knows shes gonna die she goes guns blazing to a basically suicide mission.

I feel like the ending the DLC can prolly roll off of is the one where V gives his soul to Mikoshi because he has a chance to reconnect to another body. All other endings seems to be linked to death via suicide or his terminal illness which then he’ll die in 6 months.
