  • Hi Everyone!
Welcome back to all those who are returning and welcome to all those who are new~
This is day SEVEN in Hawaii (really our sixth & last FULL day).
On January 14, 2024, we started off the day nice & easy. Got to sleep in, make & eat breakfast before heading out to Aloha Stadium. Highly recommended by my friend to go as it's a great place to get souvenirs and I have to agree! Just make sure you walk around before committing as some stalls are cheaper than others.
After we finished shopping, we went and visited Pearl Harbor. Not really a history buff but thought we should go as it was nearby and free. Parking is $7 but at the time of our visit the machine was not working and we did not get a ticket. You DO have to leave all bags in the car though and due to that apparently there is high crime and break ins so be careful. Luckily we were alright and no issues occurred. We walked around and saw a boat that was going to the memorial and found out that normally you would have to get a free RSVP ticket online but we luckily made the walk in limit (set amount of people they allow per entrance). We sat in the theatre for a bit before getting escorted to the boat. Very quick boat ride. They do not allow any photography on the memorial itself so it was a quick visit. I quickly visited the museums while my parents got our lunch out of the car. We ate right outside which was nice as there was a nice green area and benches we could sit at.
Once we finished eating, we went to Costco to grab some last minute souvenirs before heading over to Ko'olina. Since it is an area where resorts are, there are normally parking fees but due to us arriving a bit late, we were able to park for free. This also means that due to it being late, I was unable to snorkel like I wanted to but we did take a bunch of photos and got to enjoy the sun set.
After the sunset, we went back home, showered and got ready for dinner. We walked over to Marugame Udon. A bit of a line but it moved fast. Took about 30 minutes but once inside it's an order as you go. You tell the staff which udon you want and they hand it to you directly and then you go and pick out the tempura you want. Afterwards you pay and sit wherever you would like. I wouldn't say it was the BEST udon I've had in my life but it was pretty good ! Would I wait over 30 minutes again? Probably not haha.
Once we finished eating we headed back home. I wanted to grab dessert but it was fairly late so most dessert shops closed. Once home we washed up, packed and put on face masks. Can't believe our trip is coming to a close! Super surreal but blessed.
Overall, had a great time! Hope you all enjoyed!
