good to see a lot of Nottingham members there. I think the move at 18:25 would have been a 10 second penalty if it was in BIKC. We got told 50/50 rule but if you make contact that forces someone into the barrier that's at least a warning.
Was good to race a lot of people from the regional area, definitely made the night more fun! Yeah with how strict the BIKC rules are I can't see that move not getting a penalty either, was a very forceful move

I haven’t raced for about 8 years, and this is really making me wanna get back into it as a cheap way instead of buying it all. Will definitely be entering BIKC when registration re-opens and will start popping down to my local Teamsport in Basildon and start entering these kind of races. Cheers mate

Hey, great video and great racing! Didn't really get to go side by side with you too much but looking back, considering this was your first time at Leeds, I think you nailed it!. Hannah was excellent to race against too. As others have said, the move at 18.25 in the fourth race... That would be a straight-up penalty. BIKC rules state that any overtake where contact causes a significant change of direction to another kart is not deemed acceptable. Obviously, there was nothing too much at stake in this race, but he should've given you the place back out of courtesy. You're totally right about kart allocation being critical for Regionals. It will mostly come down to how good your kart is in Qualy. There does seem to be a big difference across the fleet at Leeds right now, so hopefully they get on top of that. Part 4.8.1 of this year's regs says they'll be tested to ensure parity... we will see!
Thank you sir! 😁 Yeah I'm not too annoyed at the move as like you say there's not much up for stake other than a £5 trophy but I was a little bit annoyed at the time 😅 Yep, qualy is going to be as important as it was in locals, which is annoying to put all this time and effort into practice for it to be a lottery on what karts you get. Yeah they're very quick to show the rules for the drivers but will they actually follow their own rules....
I'm a bit late getting to this one! I reckon Need Four Speed is probably the best event to learn a new track with! For your first time, you held your ground well too! It's a great track, the bump before turns 2/3/4 can cause issues and then of course there is that damn Bridge of Death! I've raced with Alex at Sheffield a couple of times, normally good fun respectful driving, the little look into the second hairpin after the bridge in race 2 seemed a little desperate! The move at 14:52 is definitely a tough one to call from the camera angle alone. I agree with the others for the move at 18:25 - just awful! Looks as though they just used as their brakes and forced you out wide. Easy penalty there. Fantastic defensive drive for Race 4!
Oh definitely, I think Need Four Speed is probably the best members night TeamSport do, just 4 fun quick races mixing everyone up! Leeds is certainly up there with one of my favourite indoor tracks just behind Sheffield 😅 Alex is great to race with, probably more just figuring out the best overtaking spots for the regional finals Racing incident at 14:52 I'd say, I just didn't see him in the kart 😅 Thanks dude, was a fun race that was 😁
that move made on you in the final race was horrid, only reason he made that corner was because he hit you, if he would of taken that line and you wasnt there he would of just gone straight on and missed the corner. 100% pentalty IMO. just because he was "50% along side at the apex" doesnt mean he made a good move.
@@RBRacing55 I mean as long as there is an apology that’s all that matter in my opinion! Everyone makes mistakes and bad moves but if there is an apology there’s no hard feelings
