    This is awesome...two questions...how many string of pixels can you put per output with your setup? and do you have a demo of using the FPP for music with sequence?

      In this video I'm running 200 pixels on 2 ports (400 total). In other videos, I have ran 100 pixels on 8 ports (800 total) at 20 frames/second. At this time, I haven't created a video using an FPP to output music. I have it setup in my show network and in my office. Contact me if you need more information.

    Can you use a QuinLED out as DMX out? (given a MAX485 converter Board is connected)

      Yes. You in theory should be able to run DMX out from QuinLED hardware. I haven't tried this yet but I have with ESPixelStick firmware on an ESPixelStick hardware.

    Question: I am trying to use FPP to upload my sequence. its 30 mins long and seems to be crashing. is there a way to direct upload to the sd card from xlights to put into the board and then run from there?

      Yes. You can write the sequence to the SD card directly. Make sure the sequence is saved as "V2 Uncompressed". See xLights Preferences -> Sequences -> SEQ Version.

      Another option is to upload using FTP. If you are running the latest version of ESPixelStick firmware. There is an option to enable FTP. You can use an FTP client to upload the sequence to the controller without taking the SD card out. Make sure your FTP client is running in single port mode. I know FileZilla works but other FTP clients should work.

    Uploading outputs to the controller from Xlights Ver 2023.11 fails (Error: xlights ESPixelStick Input Upload Failed. Unable to connect) it's resolved in 2023.13 though so you may just need to update xLights. (enh (MartinMueller) Add support for HTTP based ESP configuration)

    Can you output the sequenced audio with it though?

    • @thechristmaslightguy
      @thechristmaslightguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. I do not believe so since you can only select the FSEQ file to play and the hardware doesn't have an audio chip built-in. You would need an FPP master to play seq + music.

      @@thechristmaslightguy So to play audio with a sequence, you would need a Raspberry Pi? The Pi being the main?

    • @thechristmaslightguy
      @thechristmaslightguy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BHud20 Yes you need a Pi runs FPP as the master and outputs audio to FM transmitter or speakers.
