Grimm is supposed to be hard to offensive players, after all his fight is a dance, if any mode can keep it that way instead of making it a fight, i aprove
The fight actually seems LEGIT for a modded boss. Seems like a fair difficulty adding into the core game at the end too. There's no overthetop moves like that arena of the fool boss or something so ridiculous. There's no move overlap and cover the whole screen and insane hp like in other modded bosses you showcased. Looks like a boss that's actually fun to challenge it in core game.

I’m never sure what to be more impressed by, the fact that someone was able to make something this incredibly well made or the fact it’s possible to defeat this demon
Most modded bosses seem to be for speed runners and challenge runners that have perfected literally everything else in the game to the point where the only possible challenge is just having bullshit thrown at you. It’s why someone like fire born enjoys Grey Prince Zote and Absolute Radiance, while a casual player hates them.
what I think is the most interesting part about this modded boss is that it actively challenges your "NKG muscle memory". The best example for this is the dash attack where normally you simply jump as soon as you identify it and pogo (or at least that is one way to deal with the attack). But if you do that, you are likely gonna get hit because of the fake-out attack. Makes (re)learning the fight very interesting.
And as soon as you get used to it he reverse it with a double version , so it doesn't just challenge your nkg muscle memory only but also challenges your muscle memory of each phase
Eventually this guy will beat all of hollow knight while knight is gonna be invisible,bosses have more hp and dmg and there are no upgrades... And Its still gonna be easy for him.
Don't forget he's still human. Bosses that trash around and require lots of movement like soul tyrant, god tamer, radiance, pure vessel, etc. Would be impossible with an invisible character, but false knight, brooding mawlek, hornet 1 (basically jump and shadow dash = dodge all possible attacks) and vengefly would probably be possible. It's not like the boss is invisible, you'd just need a good sense of direction and memory

It is kinda possible because most attacks and radiance's eyes are highlighted (have glow around them). Everything except the laser beam thing. You just guess where it is.
Dude, you're an artist. The color changing corresponds with how a blue flame is hotter than a red one, yes? Also, how'd you implement that seemingly new animation where Grimm hovers in the middle and emits a sort of flamethrower?
@@fiveeeees That new animation took me about 2 days to create. I am by far no professional artist, so I did my best using whatever tools I could find. I didn't build it from scratch however, because Troupe Master Grimm already had a very similar animation that I could use as a base. It was mostly a means of changing the colors around, changing the head, and making the wings blow around, and I think the result turned out pretty good considering my abilities.
I said it for the inferno king fight and I'll say it again here, this is how you design a modded boss, there is a good mix of old attacks with new mechanics to spice things up and the new attacks (which aren't just "dodge this casual" a la pale prince) It's pretty interesting that grimm also seems to get a bit smarter too, his flame pillars at the end of the fight aren't spawned where you are but where you will be which is something i think is completely unique, absolute mad props to the man who made this mod.
A thing I love about hollowknight, is how when you fight the boss, it can be stressful and scary, but when you finish it, you realize how fun it actually was (This is how I feel at least)
That happens with most games that feature hard but fair encounters. I remember the first time I managed to beat Mage Tower with my combat Rogue in Legion I was so excited and happy that I kissed my girlfriend and then proceeded to make love to her for 8 hours nonstop.

Alright modding community hear me out. A super version of Massive Moss Charger called something like the Massive Bramble Rampager. The fight would be mostly the same in the first phase, but with two minor changes. First whenever it does its leap attack it will drop Mosscreeps across the battlefield that will wonder around and get in the players way until they're killed. Secondly it will perform its charge attack like normal, but it will have a timer, and if its attack goes longer than it should by say the player knocking them back over and over again, the Boss will become enraged until its charge attack ends. While the Massive Bramble Rampager is enraged, it becomes slightly faster and immune to knockback. Also the damage it deals to the player if they're hit head on is increased by 1 mask. The bramble will also sprout thorns all over its body which will be left on the floor in its wake. The thorns will only stay on the floor for a moment, so it will kind of function like the Shrumal Warrior's roll attack. Once the Bramble gets low, maybe about 30-25% health it will become permanently enraged and instead of its normal leap attack, it will leap back and forth across the battlefield not unlike Gruz Mother's continues slam attack. It will no longer spawn Mosscreeps, but it will leave a patch of thorns in every spot it slams down on.
Finally I have beaten this boss after almost 90 attempt That pufferfish attack was so painful and annoying that I didn't find any way to dodge it properly Aside from that , this was one of the funniest if not the funniest hardest boss I have ever fought , all attacks were so fun and really hard except for the pufferfish attack ( the most annoying attack ) , the flame pillers was the hardest normal attack in my opinion it needs an insane reaction and big understanding of the attack especially that they are more random and chaotic And yes this is harder than absolute radiance a lot actually I beated ascended absolute radiance first try after beating this it's so easy in comparison
Congrats on beating it! Even the way I do pufferfish runs into the occasional hit, so it's definitely the hardest attack to me. Flame pillars in the last phase tripped me up a bit too. I want to say that they are placed where it expects you to be as usually they spawn where I'm walking to.
This fight is actually pretty cool the attacks look manageable and it isnt just the same attacks he had before but just a million times harder there are new attacks and they seem kinda fun its also cool how the color changes the further you get into the fight

The slap uppercut was already one of the hardest attacks in the whole game and you didn't just buff it once , you didn't just buff it twice , you buff it three times are you serious , it's a pure nightmare now with all those fake outs movements
Okay, being legitimately honest, it's not *that* bad. I'd have to relearn the fight since some parts go against the instinct you build against the normal Nightmare King, but a lot of the attacks seem quite manageable. It would suck, but I think I could do it. (Not hitless. That'd be agony)
This is nice, Grimm fights are always good and a mooded one is even better. They only thing that i would change is the fact that you basically can't go for hitless without the shade clock, but it's damn good.

The flame pillars tripped me up a lot. In P2/P3 I'd often not care about trying to hit AIKG.

In my opinion less is more, and this feels modded, but it looks like one of the best crafted and most fun mods out there
It looks as mechanical as NKG, you may struglle at the first tryes, but with a little practice he can be beaten. A legit fair and fun fight, nice.
This is the best mod boss (and most beautiful one) that ive seen and you have really great skills.

Okay, being legitimately honest, it's not *that* bad. I'd have to relearn the fight since some parts go against the instinct you build against the normal Nightmare King, but a lot of the attacks seem quite manageable.
It would suck, but I think I could do it. (Not hitless. That'd be agony)
This is nice, Grimm fights are always good and a mooded one is even better. They only thing that i would change is the fact that you basically can't go for hitless without the shade clock, but it's damn good.
This is the only fight i saw on your channel that is not painfully hard and seems manageable for casual players after getting the hang of it.
There's a normal inferno king grimm fight which is an original version of this and it's also definetly easier than that
