I think there is a big difference between sex positivity: not shaming people for their preferences and sexuality And overly positive acceptance of unhealthy hypersexuality: praising polygamy and one night stands
I know that this is a controversial subject and that when a woman dare says something that goes against the grian, it can bring a lot of projective responses but I thank you for being candid and just being honest. Here's how I see it, even though I'm a guy. After looking at a lot of feminist critique and actually listening to what it is being said, a really good argument that I heard that makes somuch sense is the simple question of "is being overly sexualized is such an empowering thing, why don't men do it just as much as women (are conditioned to)?" And it really does set the tone of what one really does think of women through their portrayal in games. Actual people or just decorative product to be consumed? Before I continue though... I'm sorry but I'm gonna be brutally honest here. "Liberal Feminism" is not actual feminism. Feminism is and always was about women's rights and liberation (from men). It was never about "equality", women were always equal to men in society (on a socially functional level) but the problem was that women were systematically excluded from said actions to live on their own terms on the basis of their s*x and reduced to being seen as glorified livestock or property until the suffragettes kickstarted the fight for women's right to exist in society and so on and so forth as feminism progressed all the way up to the middle end of the third wave where the problems started to arise with "s*x empowerment". This whole "s*x work is empowering", "it's empowering to dress like a p*rn model", and this whole "I'm taking my s*xuality back by dressing provocative", these things are not "feminist", how? How is commodifying yourself as a woman by adorning yourself in things that are meant to oppress you actually beneficial to women as a class of people? Again, it goes back to the question of "if all this is so empowering, why aren't men doing the same thing at an equal level as women? And yeah, "s*x work" is not work, it's a (dangerous) side hustle at best but one that no one with options willingly chooses to do, if that were the case why don't men and the elite affluent class of women do it as well? Is it truly a "choice" if you're coerced into it out of desperation? "And that's ignoring the danger that comes with it from exploitation to physical abuse and even murder. And added in mental abuse. But I'm getting a little wordy here so to give a tl;dr, Liberal feminism" is just re-packaged men's rights activism to be quite frank. With that out of the way, going back to video game portrayals of female characters, when you look at it with that kind of lens, things start to make a little more sense. Like for example, they say that the East doesn't care about s*xualizing female characters and continue to do so but it's important to note that places like Japan & Korea hold misogynistic views of women in their countries. I mean it says a lot if you have a problem of men groping or looking up women's skirts on public transport to the point where they have women-only public transportation to avoid this. So of course they will continue the status quo of their countries by continuing to overs*xualize female characters in their media that is mostly made by men. And before someone mentions the tired "Bayonetta was designed by a woman", yes she was designed by a woman (Mari Shimazaki) but the concept, the idea of the character came from a man (Hideki Kamiya), Mari was simply a commission artist. Meanwhile in contrast to the East, the West is trying to take strides and be better with female characters n games by designing them with actual outfits, Mortal Kombat being a great example of this. Gone are the days of portraying the women as mostly strippers with an exotic theme and instead, actual realized warriors with outfits that reflect that while playing to their personality or societal class, just like that of the male characters. But of course the horny guys (and the I'm sorry to say, handmaiden women) throw a fit and act like dressing the female characters in normal but stylish clothing is "demonizing females" (or whatever). It's ridiculous. But slight detour with Aloy, you really think she looks "ugly"? I mean okay, I'm a gay man so I'm not romantically or s*xually attracted to women but Aloy's character looks totally fine imo and I personally don't think she looks "ugly" at all, she looks normal and her look makes sense for the environment that she's in. Like why would she be concerned with dolling herself up with makeup every day when she's just trying to survive in this post-apocalyptic world? So her face isn't skinny, she just looks like an average young woman and I feel like the only reason she stands out a bit is because the usual young woman character in games has a more slimmer face (Lara Croft, Jill Valentine, Ellie) but still, some women do have features like Aloy and I think she looks just fine but that's just my own thoughts haha. And it's like, if you want to have s*xualized female characters, whatever but just don't call it "feminist" or "empowering" because it's not. I think that you can make appealing looking female characters without making them look pornified. Anyway terribly sorry for the long comment but I like hearing more women speak on this subject.
I am shocked. I never thought I'd ever see a man be so insightful or actually "get it". Here's a like. ETA: I completely agree regarding Aloy. I've never once looked at her and thought she was ugly or even slightly unattractive-looking. Such a thought never entered my head.
I'm a man so I'd be interested to hear what you think of my take, but I think most young women growing up with social media and the internet realized how easy it was to make money from porn so they embraced it as a part of feminism. It really isn't benefiting women as a whole, but it is benefiting millions of women individually. It hurts men and women equally though because it warps a man's mind to see so many over sexualized women everywhere as well. People used to distinguish porn from the natural, unsexualized human body, but I don't think they do anymore.
When I played through Baldur's gate III for the first time I did so as a cbaracter thar was basically Gollum. Imagine how immersion breaking was for me to have all these sexy people throwing themselves at me.
I agree, but I like the choice of being able to make a pretty or sexy character. I don't want it to define what I create, but it can be something to add to the character instead of it becoming the whole reason of a story. Steller Blade had a great story, and so many other characters and side stories I didn't expect from it initially. The same can be said about Nier Automata. I just wish the game industry didn't have to deal with the greedy CEOs who shut down ambitious projects to fit in with what's popular or listen to a random company about what a woman or man should look like to appeal to me, which I assume since a lot of the games being censored or changed are rated M as if adults can't tell the difference from a fake game and reality, but I'm starting to believe it at this point.
Hey there. First of all: good cuts and use of material. And you got a really nice narrating voice I have a few things to criticise. The biggest point is, you got the whole definition of sexpositivity wrong. Just so we're all on the same page, I'm gonna quote wikipedia: "The sex-positive movement is a social and philosophical movement that seeks to change cultural attitudes and norms around sexuality, promoting the recognition of sexuality (in the countless forms of expression) as a natural and healthy part of the human experience and emphasizing the importance of personal sovereignty, safer sex practices, and consensual sex (free from violence or coercion). It covers every aspect of sexual identity including gender expression, orientation, relationship to the body (body-positivity, nudity, choice), relationship-style choice, and reproductive rights. Sex-positivity is "an attitude towards human sexuality that regards all consensual sexual activities as fundamentally healthy and pleasurable, encouraging sexual pleasure and experimentation." " So it's all about acceptance, consent and breaking the stigma of not talking about sexual orientation. What you are criticising is the sexualisation of women, which developers, moviemakers or whoever are capitalizing on, which is obviously antifeministic and a huge problem on our way to get rid of the patriarchal structures we live in. As long as men stay this stupid to just consume because their penis told them so, somebody will capitalize on that fact. So actually you are way more sexpositiv than you think. ;) When it comes down to your chinese example, I see a lot of problems with that. First of all China is also a good example for a huge patriarchal system. Just have a look into the representatives at the national congress of the ccp. It's mostly men. Probably 90% or more. Second: because of this patriarchal system most people in positions of power or decision will be men, who are choosing not to cast "ugly" or "regular" people for their shows. So it appeals to men again. And why? So you can get approval by the ministry of culture, whose boss is... you're right! A man. Third: technically you don't have a problem with "ugly" or "regular" characters, but ... (quote from Game of Thrones: "Everything before a but is horseshit") That is bodyshaming. Fourth: "beauty represents an ideal" is a problamtic statement in its self, because we all should be ok with who we are and not idolizing any looks. Everybody should be fine with how they look. The only time this will be a problem, is when you're risking your health and still stateing that you are fine with the way you look or the way you are. (being underweight or overweight in a healthrisking way). If you like to talk my points through, I'm really open for that. Have great one
Claims they don't like sexualized and uses "She's from a game?" girl as an example of good. You can smell the insecurity. Anyone who reduces attractive characters to literal porn has more than a few screws loose and the cognitive dissonance makes that especially clear. "Lolipop Chainsaw's character is slutty because she's dressed like a cheerleader! But Mercy isn't because she's fully covered like a good respectable feminist." It's got even dumber when she said that both men and women should be 'unsexualized'. Men and women aren't sexualized in the same way. Hanzo's skin with him in a trendy, tailored suit is as much fanservice as a girl in a bikini. Then you get into more esoteric things like, how the man acts and their job. These are all sexualized, too. That's why it's typically a huge focus in women's erotica, not because women have some magically deeper connection, but that's what turns them on. But yeah. Wild pile of cope and insecurity. Buy products you find good and leave it at that.
So I'm actually a producer for NSFW adult animations, specifically for VR. My work involves hiring artists, animators, and voice actors to make a complete product. I got into the line of work because I liked sex appeal in videogames, and felt that's been fading away in recent years. Addictions also work very differently depending on the person. For me, I easily get addicted to nicotine, and marijuana, and gambling, but could never for the life of me be addicted to alcohol or porn
yeah me too but tbf we shouldn't brush off porn addiction, most people could never in a million years become addicted to it but it's a real thing and it has devastating social effects on those who have it :(
@@SouveraineMiaa You're absolutely right, and it is a mature topic that should be viewed the same as any other addictive vice. Porn addiction can destroy lives just as easily as alcohol addiction or a gambling addiction
Well said honestly. Sex-work isn't something empowering. Of course a lot of sex workers and pron content creators don't mind it and don't get traumatized by it when they've done it by choice (I'm not talking about those poor people that were forced into it, by life circumstances, manipulation or human trafficking). And good for them I guess? But, for some reason, I can't help but feel like doing sex work instead of trying to do something else is something of a waste of human potential.
Good video. I like when the characters look good, but I always considered the people who demanded cartoons and games give them a 24/7 boner were on the spectrum. I guess the argument is that it's what men like, even though their grandfathers would rightfully insult the squeal-filled anime crap that they love.
You're kidding right? Mortal Kombat 9, one of the most egregious examples of overly sexualized female character design came out in 2009. You have the Dead or Alive series from the 2000s, the hot shots golf games (2000s). I'm just... Did you live through the 2000s gaming scene? There was lots of sexualization going on during that decade lol. There was a literal game where the world was inhabitied by women with ginormous breasts and the way to defeat them was pulling on their breasts...
@@decadentgamer3108 Have you heard of this time called the 80's or seen any 80's films? Or marketing for any 80's games. It's not that it doesn't happen. It's the fact its been on the decline. You can look this up anywhere and find this consensus
The funny stupidity of the stage of discussion on "sex appeal" in games is entertaining. Think of most of the arguments. First, you cannot remove from human nature what human nature took thousands of years to solidify. If given a change about your own desired looks and "pity look", 10 of 10 HUMANS will choose the desired body. These "girls", they forget this is not something about men, they just think they are the "pinky bows princesses". I am an "ugly handsome man", meaning on naturally flavored life, I am ugly. I use heavy glasses, I have big nose, big ears, and the "sad eyes". To the point in which very few people have ever noticed I have emerald green eyes that shine with a green tinge that some have described as "unique". That because very few people have actually looked at my face to see something pretty in it. Do I think it is sad to me ? Au contrair, I dont care. I have had relationships with nice women who made me happy. Many of them extremely attractive. What does that have to with the video ? It is easy to talk about women because media always do, but women are nasty most of the time, most of them. They will do worse than men. Me and many men would not care if our friends find our girlfriends ugly. Most men do not care how other people see their women if they like them. Women ? A lot of women who liked me, as ANY MEN can cite a lot of their own experiences with such situations, have been rejected because womens' friends, family, specially mothers, find the people they are near ugly. Rare the woman who will break this pattern, unless she is also ugly and dont care because other people dont care either. EVEN ugly women when told that "they can do better" when they actually cant, will try to achieve a relationship with a man that is "approved" aesthetically. These sad stories about sex workers. You know, women love to tell these stories, as much as pseudo journalists like Chris Hedges. What you learn from being around sex work frequently is that 6 in each 10 women who engage in sex work HAS A CHOICE, HAS A FAMILY, HAS A BOYFRIEND, and despite not being told by any of them to do it, or not being rejected by any of them for doing, and despite having the option to not do it, do it anyway. Does the host really know any sex worker ? I think not. IF she did, she would know what most owners of sex clubs know all to well by hearing the chatter in the "dressing room": MOST SEX WORKERS are there for the "easy money". Oh, it is hard to do sex work ? Why dont you then do regular work ? Oh, because it pays less. Because to succeed in regular work you need to know stuff, and do stuff, instead of being something by being born with it. I myself could do sex work if I wanted to. Opportunity is not beyond most people. MOST SEX WORKERS CHOOSE IT, and then when they are "interviewed", they shy of it and blame "situation". Dont belive me ? Work as volunteer in the shelters in Spain and Portugal that help the so called "smuggled women". 6 in each 10 of them are people who KNEW they were being recruited for it, they KNEW what the stakes were, and they only rejected the thing because they PAY wasnt what they thought it would be. I know these places, if you are in Portugal, Spain, France, Romania, I can tell you where to find them. I have known them and the things their staff have to endure in the hands of the very own women you say are so "victims". Plastering the half dozen per hundred cases of backwater plain abduction of parent selling their daughters to plaster that EVERY CASE is that way, is a nice gesture, but reality beg to differ. It is like a comedian said once: "You are from the Philipines, where ? Cebu, ok. Is it a poor region, or a rich region. It is the righest region mostly then. Yes, you know most of the country is poor. Yeah, but even in Cebu there are people who cant find clear water to drink. I understand you saying we should not joke about it. Yet, tonight, you will arrive home in USA where you live and shit in clean water and throw it away." That is what these kinds of videos do. It is nice to people to make some statements of what happens elsewhere, provided they never saw it with their own eyes, and happens elsewhere they only have to be outraged about it. But then they proceed to their lives, which is the very reason the World is how it is: HUMAN NATURE.
not use brains and not looks, both are tools, to reject using good looks to rely only on the intelligence doesn’t seem like an intelligent thing to do, rejecting looks is going against nature, plus sexualization is not bad, but one thing can’t be everything so we shouldn’t try to do that, not everything is intelligence, or aesthetics, or sex, or will, or kindness, there must be some balance
I disagree with some of what you are saying. I am mostly commenting on the gaming part but I only hate when people complain that a character isn't sexualised/is ugly when a lot already are and also the lack of sexualised men(shirtless men don't feel like sexualisation to me 90% of the time even in media for women) and lack of complaints about men being "ugly" in games just because it shows a double standard. Additionally, whether through conditioning or not many women are also into sexualised women. A lot of female artists draw sexualised women, drool over sexualised female characters leading me to believe it is a part of many women's gaze well in certain spaces because many women don't like it. I also *want* more "ugly characters and fharacters that are do not fit the beauty standards ugly or not of any gender and do not even believe that the character people complain about are even ugly but maybe that's just me. I believe a sexualised character can still have their character shine. Lastly, I think both porn and beauty are ideals and scatter brained impulsion just maybe different levels. I also believe that just like fanservice seeing a lot of beautiful characters isn't appealing to everyone especially if you are against only beautiful people being pushed in media all the time and pretty privilege. So not everything can be for everyone. This was everywhere so I hope it wasn't too confusing.
Equating ugly men with evil men is pretty fucked up and antiquated… you show these guys who may have totally different reasons than just their appearance for not getting sex, maybe they are insecure or mentally challenged. So does that mean they don’t deserve to know what sex feels like?
Her critique had more to do with if the woman was not financially destitute, would she willingly have sex with these kind of men which alludes to why "s*x work" is not as glamorous as it's made out to be.
@@decadentgamer3108 still doesnt change the shaming done, I happen to be ugly, and I feel really bad about the fact that I will probably have to save up money and pay someone to know what an intimate connection feels like. To be ridiculed and insulted makes it really difficult to focus on the part where women are the victim in society. And yet even still I try, I tell myself its selfish and wrong to care about myself when there are others suffering, and what did it bring me? I cant contribute anything because there is no ethical consumption under capitalism and all I can do is try and change my own opinions so that I become HAPPY with the fact that humanity will hopefully die off within the next 200 years due to climate catastrophe and capitalism wont poison the rest of the universe. I try to educate myself, be a good man, support women, only to recieve the same treatment I would from some fucking fratbro. But judging by how she called good looking women "purposefully ugly" I really am not surprised that she is like a fratbro in more than one way.
I have to agree with you to some extent here. When she called the three women at the end "ugly", that annoyed me. And talking about the men who paid for sex and judging them on their appearance alone and nothing else was equally disappointing. She sounds extremely judgmental and superficial, like she's in Mean Girls or something. I can't condone the commodification of women's bodies but I do empathise with you. I get how this probably felt like a totally uncalled for personal attack on traits that you have no control over. It really is just mean.
As a conservative person, I disagree with the belief that conservatives/right/republicans demand all women in videos games must be attractive. I don't think you can strongly link that position to a political ideology. If anybody thinks that, I think you have a significant misunderstanding of what conservatives belief in regard to "Gamergate 2.0" Also I think it's fair to say that Grummz was most likely displaying that Kotaku quote as a sarcastic way to demonstrate he has been targeted by agenda-driven game journalist. (I don't know Grummz or follow him. Maybe he does think that.) Maybe we should ask him.
I cannot comment on this subject as I am incredibly biased, since for me, every game should be a hyper sexualized 18+ game. But I respect your opinion.
This video did not sound like an AI video to me. It sounds like typical essay video. For example inflection in her voice when she claims women prefer committed relationships and to not sleep around with the attractive men. (This deserves its own comment thread. lol) The audio definitely lines up with someone that wrote out a script and read it aloud, as opposed to someone just hitting record and winging it. Perhaps not the best essay, but of reasonable good quality (even if you agree/disagree with the content). I could be wrong though.
@edubs9828 AI lately is able to mimic breathing and stuff. It's pretty incredible. It may or may not be AI, but it sounds like a lot of the AI videos flooding my recommendeds lately.
13:00 did this woman, in some round about way, say that women should only ever choose to do something if it's empowering regardless of whether or not she wants to?
N-no… how did you even get that conclusion? She said that choices aren’t made in a vacuum, that some are more influenced by outside factors than others. So if a woman is saying “well I enjoy being degraded” would she still be saying that if she didn’t live in a society that rewarded complacent women? That’s where the discussion comes from but I guess you can just reduce it to that if you want.
@minenamedothJeffeth she said many times in the video that she doesn’t want certain kinds of video games to exist and that people shouldn't play these types of games. Heck, it's even in the fucking thumbnail.
After watching this video, it just seems like a complaint about nothing. You mention there are games that arent sexualised and have the things you seek... so why not just go play them and ignore the games that don't appeal to you? Why make gaming homogenous to exclusively what you like? Nobody is making you buy these games, so it just sounds like you're mad that sexualised content is popular, and if thats the case: womp womp.
I'll tell you right away that "over-" or "under-" sexualization of game characters is a you problem because there's an abundance of good options for you. And I mean good, not "decent" or "acceptable".
There are female sex slaves around the world ,female genital mutilation in places like somalia and rape gangs in most low trust societies. Those are better feminist issues than sexy women in video games I don't play.Look at this and you will realize how absurd your statements are in comparison.
I completely agree, and i don’t see this topic as a problem. But the important subjects you brought up~ everyone out of those countries already agrees it’s bad, so there’s little to be done with a conversation. Also as a side note, male genital mutilation not being illegal in America is insaneee to me
This is a completely absurd argument. I disagree with the video poster, but i think reasoning is completely absurd. “B-b-but there are worse issues elsewhere” okay, your point is? Should we just drop everything we are interested in? Oh im sure making a video about those topics will be intellectually stimulating, preaching to the choir to get nothing done. How brilliant.
Not completely on-topic, but since you mentioned it: Harris is definitely not "on the left", at best one could consider her a centrist. If you position yourself between Harris and Trump, you are a right-winger. Just not an insane one. Which is a good thing in itself.
This is absolutely wrong. Harris is not a centrist. She believes in more government control and regulation. For every position any person takes that can be described as more government involvement, that moves them more and more to the left away from the center. That could be higher taxes, more business regulations, printing money, etc. A conservative/right-winger believes in less government involvement. (NOT no government involvement, but less) so they generally want less business regulations, lower taxes, and to stop printing money. The belief system of left-vs-right has a long and bloated history, but generally speaking in this country it's about how involved the government is in your life. And the left generally believes the government gets the final say in a lot more things than the right does. (Speaking in general terms as a youtube comment can't contain the scope of historical drift on issues through the decades, as well as, sometimes people just make bad candidates. For example, the term RINO means "republican in name only" which means they behave like democrats. The term DINO means "democrat in name only") (This is also ignoring the more specific charts that contain a vertical and horizontal axis. One for "social control" and one for "business/economy control")
feminist sees an article on porn addiction in video games and decides to make a video on why choice is evil because people do things she doesn't like with their autonomy
That's not even close to what she actually said. If you were paying attention you'd know she explicitly said she doesn't care what other women do and thinks they should have the right to do whatever they want.
I'm barely 1/5 of the way into the video but want to mention, not sure you have yet, that many of those on the left - developers, media - have aggressively and actively pushed to uglify and masculinize a lot of these female main characters, diminishing their attractiveness. Is this a deliberate strategy to maintain the sex-positivity while circumventing the male gaze?
14:04 90% of all video games already desexualize there characters, and I am no talking about that stupid woke uglification shit that anti woke people babble on about, most game already don't sexualize their characters. Developers should design their character however the fuck they please and if you don't like a developers choices, YOU DON'T HAVE TO PLAY THE DAMN GAME. Even if you live this way 90% of ALL VIDEO GAMES will still be okay by your standards.
We need god in this country back that's what it is. Whether you agree with chirstianity or not we can both agree the chrisitian idea of charity, avoiding lust and so will do this country god. Sad how degenarancy has go it
so basically you believe that because of your conviction about what real women should do with their bodies, men shouldn't be allowed to enjoy digital women made to appeal to them?
Nice video although i genuinely think a lot of people arepolitizing and overthinking a ton on what is essentially nothing but just the pure pleasure of the human body.. Or even less, just "monkey see hips = monke happy". That's about all there is to it in most of the cases Our modern society really sucks, ancient times used to have a huge ADORATION for the human body, for anatomy, for how we are all built, for pretty chubby women, curves, for nice male bodies with great lines etc etc.. They'd make paintings and statues of nice naked bodies everywhere. They'd partake in the pleasures of the flash like we almost never do. If anything i find modern humans to be way closer to robots than human. We try to hard to hide these things or make the mtaboo, as if they were a sign of weakness or shame, while they shoule be celebrated and ejoyed as much as possible imo Anyway, to come back to video games... japanese games should REALLY be in another category altogether, the japanese people have a insanely different view and culture on those things and while i absolutely love nudity and bodies, i find japanese stuff to always be wayyy too over the top and cheap. AAlso japanese culture on nudity and sexualisation is creepy. It's ar from the occidental way of just it being cute/kinky/mindless or provocative, japanese stuff is always creepy asf
womp womp. sex sells. And it kinda makes sense why it does, especially with woman. Not only is it just all around an enticing thing, but most of a woman's use in society is literally centered around the act itself. From having kids to providing pleasure to men so they are more productive and happy. At least from a biological point of view Plus, a majority of gamers are male. it's just logical.
Men making up most consumers of video games has not been true for years now, and why the fuck would the sex who has the most to lose in reproduction be the one to give a shit about the sex who just exists to provide genetic material within a few minutes? Even amoung "male dominated" animals in nature the female animals do not nurture the male animals. Her priority is always her own and her offsprings survival. But keep coping, cum donor.
I think there is a big difference between sex positivity: not shaming people for their preferences and sexuality
And overly positive acceptance of unhealthy hypersexuality: praising polygamy and one night stands
Lot of angry VRchatters in the comments.
And you got a really nice narrating voice
I have a few things to criticise. The biggest point is, you got the whole definition of sexpositivity wrong. Just so we're all on the same page, I'm gonna quote wikipedia:
"The sex-positive movement is a social and philosophical movement that seeks to change cultural attitudes and norms around sexuality, promoting the recognition of sexuality (in the countless forms of expression) as a natural and healthy part of the human experience and emphasizing the importance of personal sovereignty, safer sex practices, and consensual sex (free from violence or coercion). It covers every aspect of sexual identity including gender expression, orientation, relationship to the body (body-positivity, nudity, choice), relationship-style choice, and reproductive rights. Sex-positivity is "an attitude towards human sexuality that regards all consensual sexual activities as fundamentally healthy and pleasurable, encouraging sexual pleasure and experimentation." "
So it's all about acceptance, consent and breaking the stigma of not talking about sexual orientation.
So actually you are way more sexpositiv than you think. ;)
When it comes down to your chinese example, I see a lot of problems with that.
But Mercy isn't because she's fully covered like a good respectable feminist."
It's got even dumber when she said that both men and women should be 'unsexualized'.
5:23 Interesting, very nice, now let.s see who is funding them
So I'm actually a producer for NSFW adult animations, specifically for VR.
"when they could have carriers and not have to be intimate with men"
"Sex work is fine"
Make it make sense please!
very cool mad respect i feel the same way!
The Last of Us 2 made me a sex negative
Also sex in media has been on the decline since the 90's, just for your ref.
Yet, tonight, you will arrive home in USA where you live and shit in clean water and throw it away."
That is what these kinds of videos do.
Legitimately interesting though I disagree I enjoyed the video
If anybody thinks that, I think you have a significant misunderstanding of what conservatives belief in regard to "Gamergate 2.0"
Also I think it's fair to say that Grummz was most likely displaying that Kotaku quote as a sarcastic way to demonstrate he has been targeted by agenda-driven game journalist. (I don't know Grummz or follow him. Maybe he does think that.) Maybe we should ask him.
I cannot comment on this subject as I am incredibly biased, since for me, every game should be a hyper sexualized 18+ game. But I respect your opinion.
Candy crush saga
Whats up with all these AI videos lately? Half the videos Im recommended are so obviously voiced and written by AI, including this one.
I could be wrong though.
is everythng criticising c00mers ai?
@edubs9828 AI lately is able to mimic breathing and stuff. It's pretty incredible. It may or may not be AI, but it sounds like a lot of the AI videos flooding my recommendeds lately.
13:00 did this woman, in some round about way, say that women should only ever choose to do something if it's empowering regardless of whether or not she wants to?
No.
3:13 Let.s see your search history
After watching this video, it just seems like a complaint about nothing. You mention there are games that arent sexualised and have the things you seek... so why not just go play them and ignore the games that don't appeal to you? Why make gaming homogenous to exclusively what you like?
Nobody is making you buy these games, so it just sounds like you're mad that sexualised content is popular, and if thats the case: womp womp.
I'll tell you right away that "over-" or "under-" sexualization of game characters is a you problem because there's an abundance of good options for you. And I mean good, not "decent" or "acceptable".
Great video!
How is asking for attractive female characters in videogames = porn? Can we not dilute the actual meaning? Is everything anime also porn to you?
Excellent video. Please make more feminist content.
Literally a whataboutism fallacy. If you can't actually address the points brought up in the video then don't talk.
There are men being drafted by force in other countries so men should shut the fuck up about ""misandry"" in media
The term DINO means "democrat in name only")
(This is also ignoring the more specific charts that contain a vertical and horizontal axis.
0:10 gaming is pornified? I don't think we live in the same reality honey
That's about all there is to it in most of the cases
Our modern society really sucks, ancient times used to have a huge ADORATION for the human body, for anatomy, for how we are all built, for pretty chubby women, curves, for nice male bodies with great lines etc etc.. They'd make paintings and statues of nice naked bodies everywhere. They'd partake in the pleasures of the flash like we almost never do. If anything i find modern humans to be way closer to robots than human. We try to hard to hide these things or make the mtaboo, as if they were a sign of weakness or shame, while they shoule be celebrated and ejoyed as much as possible imo
Anyway, to come back to video games... japanese games should REALLY be in another category altogether, the japanese people have a insanely different view and culture on those things and while i absolutely love nudity and bodies, i find japanese stuff to always be wayyy too over the top and cheap. AAlso japanese culture on nudity and sexualisation is creepy. It's ar from the occidental way of just it being cute/kinky/mindless or provocative, japanese stuff is always creepy asf
14:26 nobody says this shit
gaming is overly sexualized, but you only show like two games out of the hundreds that came out i just 2024
womp womp. sex sells. And it kinda makes sense why it does, especially with woman. Not only is it just all around an enticing thing, but most of a woman's use in society is literally centered around the act itself. From having kids to providing pleasure to men so they are more productive and happy. At least from a biological point of view
Plus, a majority of gamers are male. it's just logical.
Lmao. You lack so much self-awareness you don't realise you are proving her point.
