  • 1 month wellbutrin XL update (for depression and ADHD), sorry guys, my anxiety and adhd were on through the roof today.. you'll notice I hardly looked at the camera during this video (I hadn't realized it until I stopped recording), I have a tendency to look up or to the side when I'm trying to recall things... It's something I really gotta work on.

Currently experiencing a similar issue. My dosage of Wellbutrin XL was doubled to 300mg daily about a month ago. I have since developed skin peeling (mainly in the palms of my hands), and large hives all over my body that last for a couple of days and leave bruising once they go away.
Waiting to hear back from my doctor, but this video makes me think it's the Wellbutrin causing the issue.
    Thanks for sharing!

I found this video really helpful and you were very easy to follow, thank you for expressing your experience. I currently am entering my fourth week of Wellbutrin 150 mg XL for moderate major depressive disorder and ADHD (inattentive). I just started to feel mental clarity around the same time I started developing hives on my hands, forearms, hips/lowerback, and groin, they aren’t unbearable but noticeable. I also thought it was my bedsheets or a hair product I’ve used three times before but that wasn’t it. I then thought it may have been a reaction with a new nuvaring being inserted after my period. I also was trying to stay away from gluten after I started Wellbutrin, realizing it reacted poorly with gastro issues and had eaten gluten the day of, for the first time in two weeks when I first experienced the rash. I am meeting with my doctor in a week to hopefully seek clarity on this issue. I am going to continue to stay away from gluten as this is the main factor as well as the Wellbutrin itself that makes sense to me as i have read foods can trigger this reaction. The nuvaring hormones is also adding another possible factor but i have not found medical literature on that inkling, so I’m trying to limit variables the best i can. Glad I am not alone and I too, do not want to be taken off the medication as my mood has definitely been stabilized especially during finals, I am not spiraling as usual.. although i am waiting for the attention to kick in LOL.

Thanx 4 posting . It's courageous of u to speak on these issues. I developed rash after yr and half to 2yrs on bupropian xl. I have spent 5mos trying to find the cause & have seen 4-5 Dr's. So 2wks ago I stopped taking bupropian xl . My rash itchy symptoms are improving but nit 100% sure because I started on a shot regiment of dupixint. So I stopped the shot last wk. This has been awful experience as the rash was 3 diff kinds. Started on hamstrings then abdomen then chest & back. & was 3 diff kinds of breakouts, all itchy extremely frustrating doing what Dr's said to do & all the meds & anti histamine, & nothing working except the corticosteroids that I knew were just masking symptoms. This has been so stressful. But well c if stopping bupropian xl will do it. I can't imagine what else it could b. My psychiatrist said to go ahead & stop taking it 2. Just cold turkey. Bupropian xl all but eliminated my sad, & other depression so not sure what to do now.except to figure out cause of rash & go from there. If it's bupropian xl it's unusual that I got allergic reaction so late. That's what's prolonged my suffering because once a professional heard the time frame they dismissed bupropian xl as a cause. My sychiatrist also said she'd not heard of my situation b4. Good luck to u.

Oh gawd - developing a rash of some sort was a concern for me as I have moderate psoriasis 👀: thanks for creating these videos I wash more women created videos about their experience on Wellbutrin. I’m on day 3, I do see little differences but because I am a nightshifter and decided to start the meds my first day of work- I won’t see more results til I’m off.

I always try to give medication at least a month before I decide whether or not it's working for me, some may take a longer. I hope it works out for you!

I don’t have a rash, but I get itchy, but not all the time. It started right after I heard my uncle passed away. So I thought it was stress related. But now its mostly at night- I was already on a regiment of Benadryl for my morning allergies, but I ran out around the same time- so I don’t know.

Hey hun I just got one big rash on my thigh it’s a little tough to the touch but really itchy. Is that an allergic reaction?

Hi, my rash started on my chest but ended up spreading everywhere (to my thighs too). I took Claritin and that helped, but I would definitely consult with your dr or psychiatrist just to be safe 😊
